Isn't it about time for the Liberal Party to make Dion step down as their leader? It seems kinda funny but sad that the most unqualified Dem got nominated in 2008 in the US, and the most unqualified Liberal ran against Stephen Harper (again). Now, I dislike McCain way more than I dislike Obama, but Obama still is a far cry from the perfect leader or a great Democrat. I supported Mike Gravel and Dennis Kucinich in the primaries, and I thought Ron Paul should've won the GOP ones.
Why are we following the bullying that Stephen Harper has shown us in his attack ads. Even if you cannot speak proper english should we say that he is a poor leader? No it should be based of facts and policies of the leader of the party.
If speaking english with the desirable pronounciation is your criteria for dismissing a leader, than you deserve nothing else but Harper as a leader, he is sure to make your life poverty-full with proper english
no worries, the cons will fuck up as they always do... THEN Dion will be able to finish the job he plans to. Also, I believe that the lost election will give the Libs a chance to really prepare better for the next time. I only hope that he remains Liberal leader until then.
Stephane Dion will offer far greater benefits in the interests of Canadians, its amazing to see how many people are fooled by the classless charisma of Harper. In the last two years Harper has shown exactly what he is about, keeping the rich minority rich, at the expense of the middle class.
Dion's accomplishments: emissions WAY up as Enviornment Minister and he chaired an international meeting. His scare-mongering in this video in this video is classic Liberal smears: no substance.
He is also false in his statements regarding the economy: its' doing very well. Our lack of a surplus is because of a drop in tax.
And we haven't lost "hundreds of thousands" of jobs. How pathetic.
I was really skeptical about him after he made his backroom deal to steal the leadership of the Liberal Party. I gave him a chance to impress me and he hasn't. Bob Rae was the right choice (in my opinion). There's no way in hell I'm gonna go Conservative but the NDP is really growing on me. Any thoughts on what I should do?? Is the fact I don't like the leader a good reason not to vote for the party?
If Harper had said before the last election that his gov't would be controlling and secertive he would not have been elected why woud anyone give him 4 more years or in the case 2 years my MP vancouver centre can tell you how frustrated she bacame trying to do something for me and didnt get anywhere
Mr Harper, you're fired! along with your team. Fired for having acted like bullies, for having terrorised the head of our institutions in charge of denouncing your mischief; Fired for having led us towards a deficit; Fired for having violated no less than 50 electoral promises, coast to coast;
Fired for having pretended to be whiter than white while you appointed or allowed close to a 100 partisan appointments to be made.
This is the kind of leader Canada needs -- someone very positive and inspiring, but in a low-key Canadian way. I heard Stephane Dion speak in my hometown in the summer and he was just as genuine and likeable in person. I could be proud to be a Canadian again with someone like Stephane Dion as my Prime Minister.

I'll never vote Liberal again so long as they continue with leadership like Dion.

He is right on! It's time to say out loud:
