Britney made the same mistake a lot of young ladies make. When I was 17 I hooked up with a guy just like Kevin and I stayed with him for 5 years. Fortunately, we didn't have children together, so when it was done-- it was done. Anyway for me, when I met "my Kevin" it was a way of escaping my life. He was different from everyone else in my life and had the ability to take me away from it all, mentally and emotionally. I imagine that it was kinda the same for Britney.

that's so true about K-Fed actually, she even admitted how she married for the wrong reasons, she's matured and hopefully seen the erros of her way.

She met K-fed through business and she met that dirt bag Middle Asian guy that called himself her "manager", until her dad intervened, the same way. It does suck for her, babe. Believe it or not, often big names don't have a lot of control over who makes it into their inner circle. The last part of his life Michael Jackson had a man named Thome Thome, that Jermaine had introduced him to, interfering with his business affairs and it was very hard for him to get rid of him.

con't When people have impressed one's managers, agents, security et al (in the case of MJ even family) I think that often the celebrity assumes that they have already proven themselves worthy so they just don't hold the people around them up to the scrutiny that you and I would.
Add to that the fact that affairs of the heart rarely make sense or lead us to use good judgement, choosing douches over nice guys, and K-fed was in the right place at the right time to hurt Britney.

Nah, nice guys don't finish last they just get what they want later in life, like the women who choose them. While I've never dated a "douche" I've also never dated anyone like my husband. I'm thankful every day that he chose me.
It's hard for a woman in Britney's position to meet people and cultivate any kind of relationship, not just a romantic one. How many nice guys can make it through agents, management, security etc. to meet her, let alone spend any amount of time with her?

I remember an episode of The Osbournes where the storyline was about Kelly's poor hygiene and when I worked an awards show at MuchMusic a few years back a few people said that Fergie smelled as though something had died on her. Katherine Hepburn used to smell people on set and make them wash their hair, so it must have been a problem lol. Dry shampoo is my friend.

I read that sneaker story quite a while ago so mid 2000's would be about right.
For Britney to respond to a newspaper report she would have to prove the libel, (that the story isn't true), and big artists learn very quickly to choose their battles with the press. A story about stinky feet isn't as hurtful to her image as a story about, say, a cocaine party getting out of hand ending in Brit killing a baby, so I don't think that she'd bother trying to disprove it.

Not at all, I think that the language barrier is causing you a bit of trouble.
MID 2000 is a slang expression for "the middle of the decade 2000" not the year 2000. It's something that native English speakers say when we don't know an exact dat because we are lazy with our language :).
I don't know if the story is true or not, I just don't think that the story is important enough for Brit to sue the paper that wrote it.
