I recently found out that a church in my hometown has an almost identical clock mechanism. It's Deagan, but I do not know if it's 100% original. It's been in service since 1926. Great to see this online. I'm hoping to get more detail. It is simply fascinating!
Hi Frank, really interesting and very well done video. Definitely solenoids are the most easy-effective way to strike the chimes. I supose that other systems could be used (like servo motors, dc motors with encoders etc.) but probably they wouldn't be as simple and efficient as solenoids.

That was never measured, but could be between 7 to 8 feet.
