hey, i loved the first ironhide from revenge of the fallen but i was a little sad with the windshield and roof falling off. Does yours do that? if not i guess mine is a factory error. i loved the first truck mode and this one looks so much more bad ass. Have you considered having recon ironhide in robot mode and '07 ironhide in vehicle mode? Or do you prefer only one on your shelf?

i gotta admit, i normaly dont agree to part swapping, but on this figure, i agree with you that it does make it a lot more accurate. And im all about accuracy. I had a g1 iron hide. looked nothing like the cartoon, it barely had a friggin head. that was very dissapointing. But im glad that they renewed iron hide, thanks to the movie and classics line. Great Review!

If you wanna make him a bit more "movie like" you could get rid of the lightning bolt pattern and then buy the two reprolabels sets for movie Ironhide and use those. They have a GMc Logo and the NEST symbols and all that cool stuff.

I'd disagree....the biggest difference is the slightly different transformation and different head sculpt for recon ironhide. I show that and comment on it. The only real big difference is the front bumper...but i showed that off as well. But thank you for the compliment :)

Recon Ironhide, Bludgeon, and Leader Starscream seem like the only mainline figures worth picking up in 2010 to me. I love all the extra goodies this Ironhide comes with, more than makes up for the 5th time this mold has been used.

Another good review sir...although I'll be using the cannons from the standard ROTF Ironhide. On Recon Ironhide, are there still those 4 holes on the truck bed that allow for the ROTF Ironhide's cannons to attach?

watch my review on skids to see a good way to transform him and have his doors not look identical to his brothers...it's fantastic. I will probably not be picking up barricade anytime soon...his colors....if the pictures we saw on TFW2005 are correct...look like crap to me. Terrible paint job on that guy...the legs look really bad...his arms...hopefully they have hands...cus that's one thign about BB i didn't like...i hate permanent weapons on hands
