after watching super nova for the first time ever when i played this back in 2000, i said to my self, this has got to be the most badass attack i have ever endured in any game.

Hey, here's an idea. Go to the battle arena and do one. With the extra hardness and the possible harsh effects after each battle, it should be a good battle.

Noy only is Sephiroth's super nova long, it's educational. Gotta love studies of the solar system and algebra in the same attack!!! See games are not gateways to violence, they are educational tools. Sephiroth makes me feel smarter.

Actually I felt the tune starting at 2:41 would be epic start for Supernova. First time I saw it I knew I was fucked. But I was just very close to death.

Super Nova is the most overblown attack in video game history. It destroys the entire freaking solar system and explodes the sun, but it only REDUCES the amount of HP the party has and adds a few status effects. Wouldn't a simple Grand Cross suffice? The animation was a lot more humble in the Japanese version.

Deus in Xenogears uses something more "overblown" - it pretty much destroys the whole world. And, as opposed to supernova, is actually dangerous if your chars aren't overleveled.

since ff6, square purposely made the ff series beatable with out lvling or using magic n stuff. Basically, sphere grid, materia, and junction are just optional.

What advantage does sadness have in a battle?

Im thinking of trying to complete the LLNMIENA challenge but theres a few things i want to know which are, the "LL" at the start of LLNMIENA means low level and you mention that to complete this challenge you cant pass level 28, does this mean i have to run from EVERY battle except the boss battles? and also is there anything i should know before i start this challege which will prevent me from complete messing up far through and having to start again, and which are the best characters to use?

Yes, you have to run from every random battle, and there is no such think as a best party to use, as you have to follow a strict battle plan in order to stay below level 29. In other words, you have to use the exact party I used in all my videos here.

I suggest that you read my LLNMIENA guide. It should answer all questions and make things a bit easier. In any case, I wish you good luck and hope you have fun if you decide to start the challenge.

I think it's funny how the planets keep regerating after super nova. lol I use to make them run once the sun takes in seph and the camera gets to them and it made them look like they where saying "OH Sh**!! Run away!!!" Even though they run in place. lol

Don't forget the stat boost first of all. And how does 170k HP not make a difference? If Safer had that much of a stat boost AND 170k more health, you'd get wrecked.

OMGG, u guys don't get it do you? Safer Sephiroth's stats depend on your parties lvl. The lower your lvl, the weaker the stats. So it's pretty much balanced out.

It doesn't really work that way. Safer gets 30000 HP extra for every character on level 99 and 80000 extra if you used KotR on Jenova-SYNTHESIS. In other words, it doesn't make any difference if you are level 28 or 98.

lol i feel like such a douche. before i got to this battle i made sure i had every character, all of them up in the 9000 range, i made sure i had their materia perfect and made sure i was up to lvl 74 on each character. and now i feel so stupid cuz u jus beat it with items only and all lvl 28

yeah, garland is right the maximum stats that sephiroth can gets is these: 400000 HP, 246 attack,260 defence,140 magic power,308 magic defence,his stats is higher than any final boss boss in the FF series, outranked only by optional bosses, anyway very good fight :)

His base HP is 80000. If you use KotR on Jenova-SYNTHESIS, add 80000. For each character on level 99, add 30000. For each time you killed Bizarro's head, subtract 100, up to a maximum of 24900. In other words, his max HP is 400000.

OK, this is pretty funny but when I was little my brother was big into Final Fantasy and I always used to watch him play FF7. In the walkthrough book we had there was a picture of Safer Sephiroth with this huge line of damage numbers it was like 9993 1245 4567 and ther was an item we thought that if you used that item you would automatically do that much damage, it turns out it probably was just his huge attack and someone using an item... DOH!
