We didn't get punished, the professor kinda laughed as we ran out. You don't hear it in the video (we cut it out), but she's laughing as she says "I had no idea they were going to do that!" BTW, this is in 1800 Chem, for those UM students out there. As for the Orkin costume, we made it by hand from a white shirt and printed a red diamond for the Orkin symbol, just on regular paper.

@DawnOfTherion Just go online and type in "MIT Hacks"--now THERE'S an example of top-notch college pranks. And what's more, they're not only accepted, they're almost *expected* from MIT students. They can get in trouble technically from doing them, but it's still a celebrated part of the school's culture. Other colleges have similar irreverent traditions :)

@kirrer why is it all this prank videos i see are from natural sciences courses, is this a special tradition in the states? cause as far as i know we do not have this in germany

@vernonGODLittle3 for us, it's those first and second year courses which are required for a lot of different majors/concentrations, so therefore they put them in enormous lecture halls. The larger the room, the greater the effect. It wouldn't be nearly as funny running into a small classroom of 15 people studying medieval English literature, for example.
