Instead of cheographing, why don't they just spar? That's why Star Wars is just stick twiddling. If you wany yo see a proper weapons fight, see Matrix Reloaded- where Neo fights those guys in Merovingan's chateau.

@waterisgood555 He IS less interesting than Watto. At least Watto had a character and personality... no matter how stupid of a character it was. Maul had none of that. He said 2 sentences and wielded a different light saber than had been previously seen. That is all. He could have been another Vader if Lucas knew what he was doing. Imagine him winning the fight. Imagine him fighting both Obi and Anakin in AOTC and imagine Anakin finally defeating him in ROTS. Would have been more powerful.

George Lucas is a sellout, and now a failure. The idea was there, and better than star trek... but at least Ionic propulsion is real. "beam me up" will happen before a lightsaber. Sci-fi is only fi for so long. The "force" is "god" neither of which exist or ever will. Try and prove that wrong. Lucas is a film, and this doesn't show talent.

All the stuff they used for the movie's final fight came from either Chinese Kung fu, or Indonesian Kali, both of which he knows, so he's just teaching them simple martial arts drills.
I agree with everyone who believes Maul shouldn't have died. It would have brought a greater dimension to Episode II, because then you have three siths acting, and it creates confusion for the Jedi.
there wouldnt have been three siths. sideous only took on dooku cuz he lost maul. maul would only become the leader of the sepratist armies in the place of dooku in Ep. II . sideous would have stuck with the rule of two
im pretty sure Maul could do it given the oppertunity. he was just PORTRAYED as an attack dog in Ep. 1, but hes given alotmore depth in the comics and books out there
Oh and one more thing....as I have been stating since the release of Ep. 1 was that the awesomeness of the final Lightsaber battle was due to Ray's awesomeness with a sword and his coaching of Ewan and Liam....they basically just did pre-choreographed defensive moves while Ray did all the "real" work.

Jedi can deflect blaster bolts because they can see a limited distance into the future. Basically have the lightsabre in position to deflect shots before they're even fired, or shortly after.
ya dude those laser bolts go faster than the eye can catch them. a jedi allows the force to flow through his muscles to reflect them with blinding speed

George Lucas is a sellout, and now a failure. The idea was there, and better than star trek... but at least Ionic propulsion is real. "beam me up" will happen before a lightsaber. Sci-fi is only fi for so long. The "force" is "god" neither of which exist or ever will. Try and prove that wrong. Lucas is a film, and this doesn't show talent.

All the stuff they used for the movie's final fight came from either Chinese Kung fu, or Indonesian Kali, both of which he knows, so he's just teaching them simple martial arts drills.

I agree with everyone who believes Maul shouldn't have died. It would have brought a greater dimension to Episode II, because then you have three siths acting, and it creates confusion for the Jedi.

there wouldnt have been three siths. sideous only took on dooku cuz he lost maul. maul would only become the leader of the sepratist armies in the place of dooku in Ep. II . sideous would have stuck with the rule of two

im pretty sure Maul could do it given the oppertunity. he was just PORTRAYED as an attack dog in Ep. 1, but hes given alotmore depth in the comics and books out there

Oh and one more thing....as I have been stating since the release of Ep. 1 was that the awesomeness of the final Lightsaber battle was due to Ray's awesomeness with a sword and his coaching of Ewan and Liam....they basically just did pre-choreographed defensive moves while Ray did all the "real" work.

Umm, do a search of Ray Parks in Youtube and check out his PRE-Star Wars stuff....the man is a Martial Artist through and through,..he would do just fine in a "Real" swordfight..lol at that guy who thinks differently.

im really glad that ray really knows what he's doing and still not getting to nerdy, I thought this was going to be kind of embarrasing but it worked out pretty good. Star Wars is just a movie after all... but a good one

They are not realistic sword fighting techniques (the real thing doesn't look as good on camera). Lightsabers are fictional.
Ray Parks has a Wushu background. Wushu is not a method of self defense. It has ROOTS in self defense. With that in mind, an average person would still get their butts kicked by him in a fight. He has skills.

Darth Maul was a sith lord who trained intensively in jedi combat techniques. Him plus the use of the force would pwn any normal human being. Fast reflexes still don't count for sh!t against an enemy that can predict your moves before they happen. You're reacting - he's expecting.

he knows how to be flashy with a lighsaber. i doubt that he would last long in a real swordfight. Also Ive always wondered how well a jedi would stand up to a gun considering that somehow the beams of light are slow enough for the human eye to follow thus making them slower than a bullet...why dont they use guns again?

Jedi can deflect blaster bolts because they can see a limited distance into the future. Basically have the lightsabre in position to deflect shots before they're even fired, or shortly after.
