  • I can hear him say "how long......"

She say: "wait la wait good boy"

    he say: "how loooonggggggggggggggg"

    so cute <3

  • I love how animals of the same species act the same no matter where they are in the world. I wish humans could learn that we are the same creatures as well.

  • WOW 2:19 SO SO SOMTHINISH

  • sucks that im only 14, and that i live in utah (desert) it gets over 100 degrees here. so much for owning a huksie dog, we are going to move to seattle soon though.

  • "I can't standz it! WHEN can I haz dinner???"

  • I have a friend that does that when he's drunk...

  • wow did the dog just say leave me alone at 2:05? If so then that's pretty impressive

  • THATS WHAT MAL DOES TALK ALL THE TIME THEY ARE FUNY.

  • hey did u receive the email dat i sent to u?

  • seriously tho what the fuck is she saying??

  • @U8Kamel seriously, go get back busy with your pokemon games or something. Or maybe instead, you could interact with the 5 youtube subscribers you've got over there.

  • hey!! are u living in malaysia or singapore? if ure living in malaysia..can i knw where i can get an alskan malamute other than seremban

  • @greendayhall Hey man. I live in a condo apartment in yio chu kang sg and i own a malamute. They are they're own pets and have a mind of their own. It will be very hard to train them and u must start from a young age... Dont be cruel to the dogs. I feel bad when she refuses to come into the air con room at night and stays outside in the hall.. SIANZ. Air con bill in the hall is money. Make sure u are rich and can provide ice water at all times after walks and pay air con bill

  • @Pikaqiu It isn't cruel if they prefer a place with better ventilation. Air-con can cause skin irritation too - trapped moisture due to condensation when they exit the room.

  • @iamgenevieve btw ur mal makes so much woo woo noises. Mine is so quiet im afraid she's sick or something. She's never howled openly before.

  • @Pikaqiu hey!!! im living in malaysia....yeah my family can afford them, but the problem is i cant find any local breeder, so i went and asked a pet shop, they said they can get it for me but they said the dog will come without any certificate.....and its expensive, around 4k......but they guarantee me the dog will be a pure breed, btw the pet shop name is pets de park.....is it okay without certificate???

  • @greendayhall i dunno abt malaysia. u should check with your local pet authorities to see if u need one. U probably do though... by the way get timberwolf brand pet food for it

  • @Pikaqiu where did u get ur alaskan malamute? did u get it from a local pet shop or wat? if i import the dog from taiwan, it will be friggin expensive....i tot every purebreed dog must come with an mka cert 1.....

  • @greendayhall No i got it from its previous owner becus she's migrating. Imported direct from Alaska when she was a puppy. So guaranteed pure bred. And i think i have the certs

  • @Pikaqiu wow, great! eh dat day i saw 2 huskies, one for rm3 899,dam nice....whole body white n the middle part got 1 grey line only.....champion line n come with mka certh...the whole face all pure white also...big bone...DAM CUTE!!

eh btw......should i import from taiwan a not? tht petshop fellow said champion line also no use....how can i trust her? no certh, .....

  • @greendayhall btw hor...liddat is really hard to trust. If u really want it then get it. Doesnt matter if its pure bred or not. As long as u will love it for the next 10 or so years. Oh and i suggest u get a puppy and train it from young. keep spending time with it and teach it all sorts of stuff when its a puppy... Dont get an untrained adult ... u will get headache.. like me.

  • @Pikaqiu ya, im getting a puppy.....eh i need to puppy proof my house 1st rite....n malaysia lik never sell timberwolf dog food wyeh........

  • @greendayhall Singapore. I don't think there are good and ethical alaskan malamute breeders in this region. People who breed here are mostly backyard or puppymill breeders. Import them.

  • Are you a singaporean?

  • @harmany281 Yes I am :)

  • @iamgenevieve Cool, where did you get your malamute from and how much did it cost? I've been looking for a malamute

  • Regarding putting a dog down yes its about bad training and like that old tv commercial -Oh wheres the dog? Hes a real dog and he stays outside on a chain!

And you dont spank dogs if they accidently poop on your carpet. It is bad human training at fault and not the dogs fault.

  • LOL he's like "RO ROOOO RO."

  • To jest Syberian , a nie Malamut !!!

  • i had 2 put mine down last week, it hurt my son's friend, and now he cant use his left leg, sad very sad... your dog reminds me of mine. RIP CHAKO

  • Was the kid teasing the dog in any way shape or form?

  • @lakers1234 you put him down? learn to train dogs before putting them down. just because humans feel their importance is more than animals, and we are in no way superior. would you put down a human if the beat you up? nope.

  • @pickyantivirus in some states owners don't have a choice. Once a dog has bit someone or killed another animal the dog must be put down, but I do agree that this probably wouldn't have happened if they had properly trained their dog.

  • are they bigger than german shepetrds

  • yes. malamutes grow as big as saint bernards or even neopolitan mastiff (yeah that's huge) but they are actually very gentle and playful.

  • Not a big deal one way or the other, because he's awful cute, but if the dog has eyes that aren't brown, it's not a malamute (at least not a pure one). Purebred Malamutes only have brown eyes, so he probably has some Siberian or Alaskan Husky in him.

  • nice video....but u could record it with camera not pan

  • that dog has some wicked colored eyes...

  • Awe! He's such a cute doggy!

  • Nice vid. Es un perro guevon muy regalon y lindo. Congrats.

  • I hate to wait too... so understand!

what a fun sound, my dogs, not husky talk to me too.,

I am foster two Siberian Huskies (see them at cabinmtngirl) and they do have the wolf sound. My long ago German Shepherd use to howl in her sleep.

Love to hear it again. miss her.

  • ur dog is so cute. i have an alaskan malamute that looks just like that, and he makes the same noises

  • Haha, same with my Siberian husky ^^ He doesnt look the same but he makes the same noises and acts the same xD

  • it looks like a Siberian Husky...

  • look alot alike. huskys have a bit shorter hard and different faces. huskys have blue eyes and malamutes have brown eyes

  • Haha, i have a Mallamute named Layla, this howling starts as soon as she hears me grab the Bag with her food in it. But she does not lie down, She is at the door straight away trying to figure out a way in. They cannot wait for food to save their life

  • They hate to wait even for a second don't they.

  • as goes with any dog, genius, this is only due to it's large size. do some research and you'll come to know that malamutes have amazing temperaments

  • @reo232 they are also stubborn

  • @aleashacasaretto yeah i remember my mal swam after a swan for about 45 minutes until she was so tired that she had to stop, don't know why the swan never just flew away though.

  • I love huskies, but I prefer malamutes, ive got a malamute, he is just over a year old and they have so much of a personality its hillarious...Best dogs in the world.

  • I'm Hungry~~~

  • hi Genevieve! :D i was thinking about getting an alaskan malamute, but i was wondering about the alpha battle? what was it like and how did you handle it?? =]

  • I've seen a guy walking his dog, it looks like a wolf and is pretty big. Do you think its a malamute? (I live in warm climate)

  • he like "no! i want it now!" lmao. so cute

  • hahahhahaa I WANT ONE SO BAD

  • I had one growing up. Best dog you could ever own. We wrestled, all the neighborhood kids would come over in the winter when it snowed and she would wrestle everyone with explosive energy. Never had a single issue with her. I loved the howling. I miss that dog terribly... Yours is adorable.

  • haha.

    such a silly dog..absolutely adorable.

is it me or does anyone hear the words nooo and dont want coming out of him?

  • NOOOOOHOHOHOHHOOHOOH

  • Nice Dog.

  • What a beautiful dog.

Yeah, she's probably become food some day.

    Haha.

  • that dog will eat her one day

  • what a big baby : )

  • i would love to own one of these beautiful dogs, someone shared with me recently that they can be aloof, and not usually follow commands. is this true??

  • That depends on the dog's breeding, the owners and their TRAINING. I work in a veterinary hospital and have seen this amazing breed go both ways. It really mostly comes down to the owners.

  • i just saw one of this dog in the park, and its true! IT`s very affectionate and not aggresive at all!! very nice family dog

  • Caesar knows how to 撒娇 and behaves just like an innocent child! Such a great companion.. =)

  • I've got a workmate who owns one and dayum, he's huge but adorable...

  • hes being adorable!

  • hehehe, reaalyyy niceee!! He is great!! ^^

  • Alaskan Malamutes are really beautiful dogs. Wish I owned one.

  • where can i find a good dog like this?!

  • Sweetest, toughest, smartest, best dogs on the planet. I've got a gorgeous baby girl named Sky, she hugs, sings, and talks. These dogs are superior and very loyal. No reason to ever be scared...if you're the owner, or the owner's friend.

  • I still believe that even tho a dog will be loyal and well behaved and excellent around kids, it still can have those tendancies to attack children. It is still an animal after all and it has instincts, when a dog sees a child as a barrier, or whatever motivates them, between it and its owner,, sometimes its instincts will take over. I would still love a mal or husky xD

  • Malamutes and Huskies are very children friendly. I own a male Malamute for 15.5 yrs and a female Huskie for 13.2 yrs and neighborhood children came and played with them in the yard all the time. If they hurt a child it's because of their size and they like to play rough, jumping all over the place. But not once have they hurt a child on purpose. These breeds been around man for over 25,000 yrs. They're the greatest to have as friends.

  • yeah i can understand that and know people that say this but you do hear about dogs attacking kids in the news,, not usually huskys tho tbh,, usually pitbulls and rotweilers,, thou dog owners of these breed will say the same as u. maybe its just dogs are different to each other and some are just crazy :P

  • that is a beautiful dog, it sounds like chewbacca!

  • my mal looks exactly like this! except she is a girl

  • beautiful dog i would love one but i think id be a bit scared of it because it is too much like a wolf. :)

  • damm so disciplined jealous :P

  • ok, thanks

  • Aah....so cute=)

  • sounds like the dog is saying ''how long''?

  • thats exactly what i thought! :D

  • absolutely! listen at o:59, the dog actually say's i'm hungry!

  • i want one nao!

  • Very nice I have a Siberian Husky who talks like that lol very beautiful

  • get the hell out of here moron. video's not meant for you anw.

  • just an amazing, beautiful, dog. thank you for sharing her:)

  • i didn't think malamutes could live in hot countries. he looks fine. funny dog

  • hahah it would be funny if he got mad and bit your ass

  • oh man, poor guy

  • i wonder how so???????

  • leave the dog alone

  • if you are clueless, I suggest you just shut up? 1 is the limit, anymore retarded comments from you shall be deleted. =)

  • un ch¡en tЯés BEAU =)

    J'a¡me mes ch¡ens =)

  • huge dog

  • The dogs dont like perfume smell....

  • lol your annoying him

  • lol "bang"

    cute ^^

  • aww....I WANT IT!!! I used to have one but we didnt know very much about the breed and we didnt know it would kill our cats...

  • Were the cats properly introduced to yours? Cos my boy is able to live together with 2 kittens now!

  • yah we have one, he weighs 143 pounds. he has a mean streak in him thats for sure, considering he bit me and 4 of my friends already. only when they walk in his turf, must be a territorial thing.

  • it sounds to me that he has established himself as the alpha of your "pack"

  • ya pretty much, but im not the owner. my brother apparently doesnt know how to raise a dog like this haha.

  • I have huskies which look and act a lot like this - Luckily mine arn't as heavy as a mal. It is cute when they talk to you but sometimes you just want them to shut up.

Any one had both huskies and malamutes I'd be interested in any differences in their behaviour and mannerisms.

  • Cute Dog ^_^

  • listen at 2:00 After she goes "bang" the dog goes "NO!" =)

  • your dog looks like he's fun to play with ^^

  • My Mal Timber Six-toes is 10 months old now, and is 110 lbs of pure enjoyment! LOL

I love the way Mals talk, mine can almost say I love you! (grin)

    Great Video! (smile)

  • Ive got a 7 month old little, well big alaskan malamute girl called Yuki...so cute, but massive dogs, talk alot eh

  • Yes, I do think it borders on teasing. Maybe you might want to reconsider. Good luck to you!

  • Funny I don't see why I was teasing. If you think I askd him to wait purely for recording purposes, you are wrong. I started recording when he doesn't wanna stop talking. So yea, maybe you are the one who might wanna reconsider =)

  • Iamgenevieve - You did the right thing. Don't worry about the likes of crezman. I have a purebred Mal and I know how to read your dog just like you do. Often when Lara "talks" people mistake it for aggression or distress, but she really IS only talking. And you and I both know that your boy would have smelt his food from two blocks away. You would have had to tell him to wait REGARDLESS of whether he was in the house or elsewhere. Stick to your guns. :)

  • Haha! I guess this video is something mostly Mal owners can enjoy without the interpretation of this footage as any forms of abuse!

  • Someone should make a dog wait 2.5 minutes for their food if they're willing to wait themselves 2.5 minutes while someone tells them to "wait" for fun.

  • Oh.. so getting my precious to "wait" for the BOILING HOT beef to cool before consumption was something I did FOR FUN you mean?

  • o i loooove malamutes urs is very pretty i especially love how they talk lol

  • I was once doing some sightseeing with some friends in their pickup truck. They brought along their Alaskan Malamute who was in the canopy-covered back. We stopped in a small town where I got a container of sour cream for dinner. I put it in a box in the back of the truck and then piled a bunch of heavy things on it. By the time we got home the dog had sniffed it out, opened it and ate it all. That was one happy dog and we were short one container of sour cream.

  • That sounds about right! Some people think Mals are stupid because they're stubborn. Truth is, anyone who thinks they're stupid has been duped... by the dog.

  • You're absolutely right! Malamutes are not only beautiful dogs but very inteligent!!! I just got two puppies and I am amazed at how smart these babies are!

  • Syndey - Absolutely! Between us, hubby and I had many dogs over the years, including puppies - but we had NO idea what we were in for when we rescued our Mal. At 12 weeks old, she was opening cupboard doors (that didn't have handles that had to be turned). Didn't like being left alone AT ALL - so she ripped out the flyscreen and climbed into the house through the window to be part of her "pack" again. Very, VERY cluey dogs. If she had opposable thumbs, we would be in BIG trouble!

  • um since it sounds likes you guys are all alaskan malamute owners do you guys know like a general place where to buy them in canada?

  • same as my malamute !!!!!!!

  • i love huskys they are the shit.

Towards the end there it seemed like your dog was speaking to you with words

  • SO ADORABLE!

  • nice video, watch malamute time for dinner its on my brothers profile but our dog died a couple months ago :[

  • looks like a male one

  • You can NEVER tell by looking at a face.

  • who told you i was looking at the face?

  • Well, that's the only thing that you could possibly think differs...

  • oh i see. have u watch her other videos? u better watch it so u know what im talking about.

  • Yes, I have but unless you're looking at the penis then there is no possible way of telling.

  • so its that your way of finding out whats dogs gender ? i will say thats the easiest way. but that makes u morron then. LMAO

  • err dikhed u had 2 send two copies did ya cos ur that thick. and also if u havent noticed that alaskan malamute is a dog nice but still a dog. so dont get rude or ill stab u , u dnt know me

  • Oh I'm scared you'll stab me *shudders*

If you don't think you were being offensive in the 1st place, I don't see how I'm being rude.

  • ROFL, that was the funniest thing I've heard all day. Your gonna use your teleportation powers to stab said person right?

  • fuk you you don't even know what a malamute is

  • Nobody asked you ro watch this and don't call Caesar a dog.

You're such a moron, I'm glad no dogs behave like you do... people around you must have faces that were badly disfigured by you.

  • Learn about dogs you fool. If he didn't like it, he wouldn't lie there and allow it. Since Malamutes can't really bark, they communicate with these grumbles and songs. They have a strong pack instinct and all friendly contact is massively pleasing to them.

My GSD x Collie plays with a little Beagle, and to outsiders, it looks and sounds like they're killing each other.

Get an education, a life and some manners, you complete and utter tool.

  • i agree with everything you said accept one part- i found out they actually can bark! my malamute barked at a man who was following her and I at nighttime. maybe an aggressive thing. I was shocked, i had no idea!

  • Mine had no idea how to bark until the neighbor got a dog who barked incessantly. She doesn't do it often (unless there's a cat nearby), but she's definitely learned to do it. She's very vocal in general though.

  • I said can't 'really' bark... I meant it happens so seldom that it's easier and more accurate to say they can't do it all together! In my experience, when they do bark it sounds quite funny anyway :)

  • Haha, how adorable! It's like he's saying "I can't go on! Feed me now! I need my meat now!!!" A bit dramatic, haha!

    -Alika613

  • i love huskies. But my mom has to get rid of three cats befor we can get one.:( but I love cats too:) :0 i love huskies

  • Best dogs ever,I bred 8 of them,ice is my own dog,5 now,hes fab.

  • no there 100% it matters what kennel you get them from if the kennel breeds for big dogs you get big dogs with HUGE heads if they breed show dogs then you get a smaller more fancy small headed dog.this dogs are HUGELY pack minded so for the person who said they wont protect you, you are wrong if you are HOME and someone try's to rob you or shows anything that might be aggressive they will not attack right away but they will show teeth and growl and tell them don't F*** with us.but nice dog :P

  • is this dog spoiled, vocal or both? :-P

  • doesnt appear to be spoiled. nordic breeds (malamutes, huskies, samoyeds, etc) tend to be very vocal. my malamutt was exactly like this

  • this malamute's colour print looks more like a husky, so does his head...

every single malamute i've seen has a massive head compared to this one...

maybe the breed isn't 100% pure?

  • That's my baby when he was 11 months old.. And he was already 27 inches tall at shoulder. Guess he's even bigger than most malamutes I've seen then. He's 30" at shoulder now. It's hard to believe a husky's cross will grow as big as him =) Doesn't matter to me anyway. He's a pure lovable friend.

  • lol at 2:08 it sounds like he's saying "leave me alone"

funny, but I do hope you give the dog alot of excercise, and that you live in a cool climate.

    Malamute needs hard activity

  • yeah i think he she

  • too cute :D

  • damn he souns hes in pain :(

  • He isnt in pain lol alaskan malamutes are very vocal they like to talk alot. :)

  • Not in pain, Malamutes pretty much can't bark. They are more closely related to wolves than almost all other dogs, hence the weird noises :)

George Lucas had a Malamute, that's where he got the idea for Chewbaccas 'voice'...

  • yeah I know....but the outcome....you feel its not normal....

    I have a question...

can malmute survive in warm envoirment?

  • Very easily. It's pretty incredible how adaptable they are. They can live happily with no problem in climates as hot as Australia.

  • They're also extremely agile in small spaces. They're just overall wonderful dogs! Don't bother getting one to have a big aggressive dog on your arm though, Malamutes are pathetically friendly and probably wouldn't protect you, even if you were attacked or your house was robbed.

  • I've always wanted a malamute!

  • ooh i really don't like dogs that much but he is so cute

  • It's like he's saying "No, turn the camera off~...Iunnwanna..."

  • Ooooh, he's cute :o))

    Bang Bang, auuuhhh :o))

  • I do have a question, i'm not just all random ramblings..

Is it strange for an Alaskan Malamute not to be interested in 'playing' with dog toys or balls?

Nanook just seems, i don't know how to put it.. A little too mature for playtime?

By the way i live on the East Coast of Australia where temperatures can reach ridiculous heights.

  • our 6 month old mal isnt interested in toys either, we live in england - its cold here

  • I have two Mals . Phoenix and Chloe.. The only toys phoenix will play with are those little squeaky balls.. he'll play with them till he kills the squeak in the thing. Chloe on the other hand doesnt play with toys at all.. if you throw a toy around for her she'll look at you as if to say "nice throw, are you gonna go get that anytime soon"

  • My husky (siberian) only like toys if they have a sqeaker, which he will play with untill he consumes the speaky part

    OR pull toys, like rope,

    UK here btw

In my opinion if you have more than justone husky then they will keep themselves entertained so dont really need toys, their quite social animals... that dont really play with toys more KILL toys

  • My boy shows NO interests in toys too. Guess they are more practical, Caesar seems interested only to "toys" that are related to edibles.

  • my malamute isn't really interested in playing games with toys (fetch is prettty much a lost cause) but she does like to chew on anything. Soft toys are useles, because she wants to tear it to shreds and then abandon it, but she likes hard bones. its canada here btw. cold. however, she's still getting teeth so when shes older, she probably wont do toys.

  • Not at all. Mine has never been interested in toys. The only game she likes to play is when I throw a blanket over her head and then poke her (not hard). It's like she likes to guess where I am going to get her next and she'll playfully try to bite at me. But she's NEVER liked toys...from day one.

I live in Texas. She's fine in the summertime but I do leave her in the house. I have noticed she gets more playful in the winter. I think summer just drains her a little.

  • I have 'owned' (we never really own the Animals on this Planet do we? Sure, we can assume we do)

    two (2) Alaskan Malamute's.

A Female named Shawnee (Passed away due to Cancer & bad Arthritis in her legs)

Shawnee was absolutely massive. I am 6ft tall and Shawnee stood up past my waist line.

The male i now have is called Nanook, and he has a personality all of his own.

I got Nanook from an Australian Soldier who had no time for him anymore due to recent World Conflicts.

  • Ha, ha, our mal Lui Lui acts just like this, they're great!
