Thanks for this color version. It finally clarified something I could never figure out in the black and white version: the shot on 0:27. I never knew a bird was explaining to Tails about Sonic. I always thought that shot was Robotnik dead while landing on the plane's backseat, and the next shot of the plane taking off was his corpse falling off the plane on the left. After all, that bird's wings are shaped like Robotnik's mustache. Why would Tails come at all if Super Sonic can fly?

I prefer the pictures in the original color scheme, honestly. I'm pretty sure the pictures are grayscale for a reason. The Death Egg blew up, and most of the animals probably thought Sonic was dead. Then from the looks of things one of them had enough faith in the hero to tell Tails to look for him. Pardon my sarcasm but this REALLY seems like a colorful situation, doesn't it? Hence a very well thought out artistic choice to use grayscale.

As a matter of fact, the album where Sweet Sweet Sweet is featured, was released 10 days before Sonic 2 was released. Look for "The_Swinging_Star" on the English Wikipedia. -Regular Sonic's ending is the same, but instead of becoming Super Sonic, Tails catches him with the plane, and bluebirds fly around instead of eagles.

-Tails' ending (with or without emeralds) shows no cinematics, but has Sonic come to Tails' rescue. Little roosters fly around.

-Knuckles (S3&K) has the cinematic, and Knuckles is caught by Tails. Robins fly around.

Well, Unleashed was ALMOST the perfect Sonic game.. It's just the arbitrary Warehog sections that ruin it, other than that I'd say they are getting there.

Rush Adventure was bloody fantastic (but I don't count the Handheld games as they're exactly what Sonic should be, plus they're developed by a different part of Sega.)

And Black Knight.. Eh, I didn't like it. If it wasn't so on-rails and the controls weren't so terrible I probably could've gotten into it.

uum you only need all 7 emeralds to get supersonic fly next to tails. If you beat eggman without all emeralds sonic just falls and is caught by tails.

But I've never gotten the special ending without cheating my way to get supersonic. But i have beaten the game on my old genesis I had

I dont mean to sound bad, I like this colour version very much, but I dont think tails is flying over water in that picture. He has just taken off from the grass, with a flicky walking on that grass just about to take off and follow. And its not islands in the background, its shrubbery/trees.

kinda adds to the emotion of it all (Tails sees the explotion and expects to recover Sonic's broken and lifeless body, then we see him in full colour as SuperSonic and all is good again).
