At first listen to any sort of music you're not accustomed to, it may seem weird, incomprehensible, or even down right silly... but, given the proper mindset and perspective, one can develop a taste for any music. I would have loved to see McLoughlin play along with Vander at some point in some way. Wish I could have seen either back in the day!

Thank you for posting this video! Magma was not the favorite of the "flower people" back in the days. No fancy laser show or flying bubbles in the room ( they would have bands like "Gong" opening for them, complete opposite) but what an intensity! I don't know the name of that other drummer but what an honor to play with Christian, who was ( and still is) one of the top drummer in the world. You'll love them or hate them but they never leave you indifferent
