@cortezforever very ACCURATE! just hit the sample button on maschine select SLICE then TRANSIENT on the screen, and adjust the start and end points to your liking and hit APPLY on the screen.

i have the intention to use the maschine with ableton live; does it suck a lot of cpu power?

good question: as a matter of fact yes it does...now that's only with what i've used --Pro tools. I can't speak for Abelton Live, but I would guess running the Maschine software with Ableton Live would be quite problematic. Running Maschine by itself is no problem at all.

@synthelabo i use the maschine within a midi track with 8 other audio tracks with effects in ableton live in my macbook 2.4GHz 4 GbHD, the audio tracks are controlled by an evolution uc33 controller, no problem, beautiful live set up. will put up vid soon

Does anyone know how much Ram or hard drive space do you need to use this?...I have a old pc with only 128 megabites on it.

Your going to need a minimum of 1GB and at least an xp operating system....if you include a DAW definitely.

Digital Audio Workstation like Pro Tools, Logic, Cubase or even Audacity that sort of thing...recording songs usually with processing effects.

Hey thanks for saying that Mark...I don't know a whole lot about Royksopp except that they were heavily influenced by Propaganda which was my favorite synth band of the mid 80's...goes in circles? :)

Hey thanks for that Julie...this is something of a trial run for me: I still haven't figured out the scenes and how to have those play contiguously, so, it's a little choppy in parts--I'll figure it out. Some of the keyboard sounds on this are really good...as of the weekend the library went from 14k to 15k...
