I believe he showed some of the pure love that Jesus has for all the children in this world. He reflected Jesus. And by this he gave us a little bit of insight in how we can boldly come to our savior Jesus and embrace him, just as Jesus will embrace us, the Lord Jesus who is the one and only way to the Father. (John 14:6)
We are still loving him (not loved him) because he loves us. He himself told us that.
And because the perfume of God is fragrant in John Paul II. I agree, he was like Christ
I wish God can give me the joy of one day meet him in heaven and we could praise the living God (of course I have a lot of sins to be forgiven by God before that can happen...)
