Gotta love the Alexander Railroad. The latest addition is, I think,a GE 44 ton Switcher. I saw it on 11-17-08. The paint is green on black....sort of plain, maybe some yellow safety stripes on the ends would help. Us "locals" call the Alco's The "June Bugs" Maybe we can call the GE the "Tater Bug". Same operating savvy as usual, down the track at the speed of 10mph with lots of Horn.
I've heard rumors these old alco's are on there way out. Any truth to that? Any information about what new power they are soon to be getting?

How'd you get this close to the action for so long? You must have some serious connections. 5 stars!!

I do know the owner/General Manager Benjamin Zachary, and some of the guys that work there. Thats how I know they are getting two new locomotives.
