I agree that the laugh tracks are overpowering, but I think that comes more from the fact that the film was never meant to have one. Therefore, there isn't enough pause/silence to put in a laugh track.

Still, when Vader popped out swinging and the laugh track ensued, it was hilarious how it made the fight look so much like a cheesy spoof. LOL

Hmm, I'm guessing many fans will react negatively to the laugh track's ruining of this epic action scene. These laughs are placed exactly at the wrong times, a perfect idea. Yeah, ruins the emotional dialog between Vader and Luke.

It's a fun idea but you need to isolate key moments which the 'audience' can respond to and try to avoid drowning out the dialogue too much.

Added hilarity could be caused by adding a comedy swanywhistle drop sound as look goes over the edge.
