  • should have used trick flow heads bud

  • sounds like a lion, but its just 310hp... 310 badass hp!

  • "Damn! Thats one clean Motha F@%"...."Shut your mouth"...."What? I was only talking about the mustang..."

  • I don't get why you don't like the TFS-1, or you say you should have bought better heads? My 88 with ported gt-40p heads and a TFS-1 cam regulary beats a few of my friends aluminum headed h/c/i mustangs, it's all in the total combo and how you drive that makes the difference.

  • @gdniel Dude.. I have an ear dyno and that sounds like 300rwhp easy...

  • @slobra3000 What sounds like 300 rwhp?

  • @gdniel Dude I was just kidding... If this car has a stock intake manifold, your probably spot on.. Doubt its putting 300 down...But if its an HCI setup with the right cam, 300whp is easy for a stock short block 5.0

  • @slobra3000 @gdniel Its not Stock intake. Ported Explorer. It was never dyno'd, I would guess in between 280- 290rwhp so I rounded to 300. After this fox I purchased an srt-4 that i have a couple videos on it. It is sold as well now. And I now have another fox now that I am doing a 347 stroker build on and I just purchased a new evo as well. I will have videos up here soon once I get my new camera. Thanks for the comments!

  • im getting a 1990 5.0 mustang with a 303 cam, not sure which one, gt40 heads, intake, under drive pulley, 30# injectors, new exhaust, 3.73 gears and im wondering what kind of HP that would be roughly, im guessing like 300 but idk

  • @cMiiKEc 30# injectors... those are way too big. 24 at most for just a bolton fox. Which Intake? and it can range anywhere from 260rwhp - 310rwhp. The GT40 heads kinda suck... I should've spent the extra money to begin with and get trickflow or AFR's, those are the best, big difference.

  • @cMiiKEc Get trickflow heads and intake with a ford racing cam and your ready to go =)

  • Nice car but there is no way your putting down 300 rwhp

    more like 260 rwhp

The trickflow top end kits with all the other supporting bolt ons only put down 300 rwhp

  • real nice vid. any idea on HP gained from the mods?? just curious wana get an idea of what my car will make. proly end up gettin a good dyno tune tho. im puting ported and polished GT40P heads on my car with 1.6 scorpion rockers. kinda wanting to go with bigger cam tho then the ford racing one. i got TF street heat intake manifold already. not sure if guna go with a TF cam also.

  • @JDoktor18 I'm guessing i'm putting out around 300rwhp. I'd get a tune if I had more serious mods on it, but i'm still using the stock fuel pump/ injectors. Cams are a big part, I always liked the ford ones though. E cam for perfect performance, B cam for an awesome cammed sound and good performance. The TF street intake is a good choice! My dad runs a TF intake and tf stage 1 cam, dont choose that cam.

  • how reliable is it with the cams. I want to do it on my ranger but my dad tells me it make the motor unrealiable. I want to know if that bullshit or what.

  • @GoGoggansGo I had the same question as yours when I first wanted to do heads and cams. This is a mild heads/cam/intake setup that makes good power and still gives you the sound and agressive idle you want, and it is extremely reliable. I can drive it everyday if I want and travel as far as I want. Gas isn't really much different then what I had before, may have went down 2 mpg but no big deal. Do heads cam and intake upgrade, not just cams or you'll have no power down low.

  • @The92foxbody thanks for the info

  • Nice Car!!!!

  • Its always good to see someone that has the love for the PONY.

Looks good, sounds good. Take care of her.

  • @hguzma01 Thanks man :) new videos coming up, Winter is over, so it came back out of the garage. Got some videos of some street races and some other good footage that I will be posting soon! Thanks again for the comment.

  • sound like you have b-cam or e-cam. your car sound BADASS!!!!

  • very nice job man..very clean and sounds mean as hell

  • cool, I am in the middle of a build with some ported gt40p heads with B303 cam and 1.7RR. Curious what it could do

  • @carboneclipse3g Yea, my gt40ps are remanufactured and ported from odessa cylinder head in clearwater, FL. Your exhaust will be louder due to the bigger exhaust ports and put out great power, as much as aftermarket edelbrock heads that cost $1,000. Good luck with the build, I would like to see a video :P

  • how much power you pushing???

  • @carboneclipse3g around 300rwhp supposedly. It will be dyno'd and tuned eventually. I am putting together a video of wot pulls to show its power, but until then, I have a video up now of me just cruising in it, and a short pull at 3:15. The vid is "Ride in my cammed 5.0" I believe.

  • nice stang!!! get out there and kick some chevy ass!!! thanks for watchin and commentting on mine!

  • @stonebridgecustom Thanks! Will do

  • nice video, sounds good. Looks fun, thats a car on one of my wishlists for sure. I dont think it would be practical here in san francisco on these hills, an traffic, but I still helllllla want one

  • @heyimwhyno Thanks, nice c4 vette! I've wanted a 5.0 since I was a little younger, always been a mustang fan but 5.0's really were my favorite. I have $14,000 invested in this fox and I will not stop lol. Lots more to come, I hope you get a fox, they're cheap and great toys.

  • hell yeah dude thanks for the update. Did you guys degree the cam or just line up the timing marks on the chain? did you feel any loss of low end torque?

  • @nsinhold The cam has a 5 degree advance, in this video my timing was bad because we messed up and didn't remove the spout connector the first time, BUT now, we fixed it and i'm uploading a video to show how much better the idle is. Earlier this morning I wasn't recording, because I forgot, but I spun all the way through 1st and 2nd just from smacking it to the floor at 5mph, so I'd say no low end torque loss due to the heads improvement

  • nice ride with good street manners you and ur dad did a great job on the build pls post more vids thats a bad mofo

  • @347pony Thanks man, I will get some more vids up, timing was bad in this video, I will be making a mustang movie highlighting my fox sometime so stay tuned for that, and i'll prolly post a vid on the new timing fix tommorow or whenever, thanks for the sub!

  • Very nice!

  • Great video man!

  • Good job,man!!!...Idle sounds great!!...I am missing mine SO BAD!!!

  • Sounds good man!

  • congrats man!

    car sounds good!

The head choice is pretty good. Ported GT40p heads preform well. But I dont understand why so many people still use ford alphabet cams! you could make better power, for the same price and driveability with a more "modern" cam.

anyway, not trying to bust balls, I'm sure the car feels like a hole new animal, and is a blast, and thats all that matters!

  • @Xarmy187 Thanks! Yes it does feel like driving a completely new car, which makes me want to drive it more and more. Yes, I do understand your point about the cam, but I had 3 goals, to get more power, to get a better sound and to keep everything ford racing / motorcraft. I realize some comp cams and what not were choices, but I really do like all the ford cams, but your opinion is respected :) Thanks for the comment!

  • @The92foxbody no problem. I just worn you, the mod bug has bitten. now you will be doomed to spend way to much money on that thing like I have on mine! haha

  • @Xarmy187 Hahaha, well the mod bug bit me when I first bought the car, I wish I had a camera back in november to take pics of it stock, with rust and the whole nine yards, but now the performance bug bit me! And it hurts so good. So is there anything new going on with yours? Any future plans?

  • @The92foxbody at the moment im installing a centerforce dual friction clutch. then I will hook the nitrous back up, and use it for the first time with this H/C/I combo. should be putting out around 470 horse power at the wheels, and around 550hp at the motor on the nitrous.

soon I would like to restore the interior a bit. new carpet, sound denting, install racing seats, and a 6 point roll bar.

  • @Xarmy187 Oh nice, sounds like you've got some busy days ahead of you. Restoring an interior is fairly easy, I have all new headliner and carpeting. I would like some corbeau racing seats as well. With a 550HP Fox, i'd say you're definately in need of a roll bar. My cousins friend put one in his and it was fairly difficult but worth it. Takes some welding skills, skills I dont have hahah!

  • @The92foxbody yea, I need the roll bar to race at the track to be legal, but its also for the safty. a rollover in a convertible almost always results in the windshield crushing, and you have the car on top of your head.

I am planning on some Corbeau seats, but while they are very nice, they are not the lightest seat, so I might change my mind by then.

  • @Xarmy187 Oh yea, quick question, what exactly were your problems with the timing and stuff when you did your h/c/i swap the first time? I need help timing mine too, it's running a little weird, the rpms don't fall quick and we messed with the timing without disconnecting the spout connector the first time, now we know to pull it, will the cpu be messed up from where we didnt disconnect it the first time? And where exactly is the spout connector located?

  • @The92foxbody my issue was the distributor was not stabbed correctly. Then once I fixed that, I had some bad wires that I had to fix to get the timing right.

You wont hurt anything with the way you messed up setting the timing. The spout connector is a tiny little piece of plastic that you pull out of its home on the injector harness, 90% of the time it is in the same loom as the distributor wiring, so if you look at the wiring in the distributor, and follow it, it will lead you to it!

  • @Xarmy187 Thanks, really helpin me out, i'll get some more vids up eventually with it, I hope to see some on yours! Haha don't be lazy, go take an update vid!

  • @The92foxbody nothing to interesting on my car. Just about to install the new clutch. but I will be using the nitrous again soon, and im sure I will make another video of me giggling like a school girl again, hahahaha

  • Sounds great bud I hate I sold mine and bought an Evo but I just sold the Evo and Getting an 03-04 Termi this next week or so.

  • @acballa3369 Now that sounds like it might be worth posting a vid or 2 on. A guy on our forums is selling an 04 termi with tons of goodies and 11,000 original miles for $23,000 or so.

  • @The92foxbody Well if he would take 17.5 cash I would be on his door step cause Thats all I have avaliable lol but yeah ill make some videos for sure.

  • @acballa3369 Haha, I don't think that offer will get him interested, he is looking to buy a gt500.

  • Sounds sweet!
