@RemovdSande11 try to put the layer mask onto the brighter image instead of the dark one. Also watch some masking tuts here on YouTube.

Did you know that this process is easier if you open the raw file as a smart object (by holding shift when clickling Open) and then duplicating the layer, allowing you to edit both layers as real raw files in Camera Raw - still in Photoshop.

As always, a great tutorial! I noticed the pic you showed at 0:24 has a gold-ish hue on the left side of the pic but we don't see that in the final product at the end of the video. Was the change in hue a result of different processing perhaps or something else?

in my opinion thats a little too much editing for a photo. sure, some people may like it and many will find this very useful but i kind of think that this has more become photoediting rather than photo taking. just too much difference between what was taken and what was created in CS5
