I looked at his health care plan, and, though I hate to say this, it is silly and naive. It ignores the real health care problems. It will not solve what happens when you lose your job because you are sick, and then have no health care. And it will not do anything about the fact that the companies will not cover you when you need it.

I look at it differently. I see it as an excuse not to act. The difference between that time and now is that now there is a wide spread distrust, and even a hatred of the insurance companies. Also, the current canidates have the money to counter the potential campaigns, to prepare people for them, and to fight them. The big problem (one of them) with the Dems is that they think it is O.K. to compromise on anything and everything.

Yes, but Edwards plan will continue this cycle, not stop it. If we want to kick out the lobbyists, here is the solution: All campaigns of all sorts are funded equally by the federal government. Stations are also required to give equal airtime to any canidate that requests it. Also: Any gifts of any sort from lobbyists are bribery, and illegal. etc....
