If a senator would have signed the objection they would no longer have any allys in the senate and reelection would have been impossible. I really think that the blame should b on the supreme court for deciding that the results were valid after so much shadiness! Don't blame Nader. It isn't his fault. Blame Gore for running a lousy campaign, Bush and his team for rigging Florida, the Supreme Court for stopping the Florida recount, and every single Democrat in the Senate for not raising an objection on January 7th, 2001.

There is at least one Democrat, Maria Cantwell, who would not have been elected to senate without Nader's help. If there had been one fewer Democrat elected that year, the Democrats would never have taken control of the senate in May 2001. So Nader gave the Democrats control of the senate.
