funny thing about this song is that its about mohzar (evil god) giving power to troghlor (future tyrant of derdian) to escape from his prison in astar in exchange for troghlors eternal worship of mohzar and for troghlor to spread worship of him throughout the land. (still a freakin amazing song)

@metalpsips I find them rather overated actually. The first few albums are ok, then it gets sooooo cheesy it makes Power Quest look like Iced Earth. I usually like cheesy, but there's a line.

@sneasalmaster no no.i think they are underated in fact.they have released real masterpieces and still they havent got the fame they should have.also they were always cheesy and i dont see the difference.only the 3 last albums were kinda cheesier

@metalpsips It's true that they have released some great stuff. I really like Emerald Sword, Power of the Dragonflame and so on, but they really aren't underated. Underated is Conquest, Insania Stockholm, Dragonland etc where people never mention them. Rhapsody get a lot of attention, second only to Dragonforce when it comes to power metal, so they aren't underated.

@metalpsips Sure they were always cheesy. That's part of the key (european) power metal sound. But they got really really REALLY cheesy a few albums ago, and it became kinda unlistenable.

@sneasalmaster ok i understand what you say but still they havent become unlistenable.listen to Triumph or Agony,or Heart of the Darklands.or to On the Way to Ainor from their last album(which i didnt like much to tell you the truth)...they really know how to compose and create an epic atmosphere.oh and as for the bands you mentioned i really like them.yes they are underated and thats why i like them.finishing,Dragonforce are a bunch of shit.i hate them!!

@metalpsips Heart of the Darklands IS a damn good song, but I never said it wasn't. ROF definately don't suck, never did and never will, it's just that the later albums don't stand up very well to say, symphony of enchanted lands. My real point is that it's kind of ignorant to say any band is better than another, because they all have weak and strong points. To me (recent) Rhapsody's weak point is the vocals, and their strong point is the songs are still really well written and sound epic.

@NBeasl095 That's why I trained my own sister into liking Power Metal from the tender age of seven. She even headbangs to Sonata Arctica's Wolf & Raven and sings along to Fullmoon. I'm quite sure she'll equally enjoy Derdian since it's perfection. When it comes to training sisters you have to start soft, like Evanescence, and then slowly move on to Nightwish. Eventually they'll tolerate grunts and growls, 8D It works. I have her feeding on my hand like a puppy. a power metal loving puppy.
