I feel the need to explain some differences, The t16/s4/rs200/6r4 were all purpose built cars made from space frame from the ground up, they bore no resemblance to the road cars they produced. The S1 was built from the SWB quattro and not the other way round. The fact that the s1 was competetive and in some cases quicker makes it the best Group B car

The rally quattros: First 4wd rally car,
First rally car water cooled brakes, first rally car PDK (sequential) gearbox, first rally car wind tunnel tested aerodinamic panels, the 86 season was almost certainly the quattro's return to dominance, had the tragic events of 86 not happened. Please make you views known, but lets have intelligent debate.
