  • una guitarra asi no merece a ese tipo

  • I wish I played this well when I was your age.......God Bless.....

  • Lucky :D I wish i have the money for this guitar :) maybe in 5 years from now :S

  • the flash of your right hand fingertips have a mellow , warm tone, very nice. But careful with the position right now, it will limit ur style in the future, ur hand is lifting too much, check out some classical right hand lesson and u ill be fine

  • thanks for the tuneing i have been trying to figure it out by ear for a while

  • Wicked job, ive been searching for this tab for forever, could you send it or post it, please!

  • thanks a lot! I know its very hard to find this music for guitar but I just took the time to figure it out myself, it took a while but it was worth it. Sorry I don't have any tabs for it but I can tell you that it is in open tuning of DGDGBE hope that helps!

    thanks for the support.

  • Hey no prob....thanks and keep up the good work!

  • Great job bro. I'm also a 16 year old solo acoustic musician, from just outside of Bridgewater (about an hour from Halifax or so). Wicked guitar, I always wanted a Martin but I want a Gibson J-200 more at the moment. Keep it up.

  • whoa. so many young talents these days. and i mean TALENT!

  • this video is just chillin'

you play like a pro, man.

  • hey my brother is a friend of your second cousin jack

  • You deserve to play that fantastic guitar. Nice playing!

Do you play any Delta Blues? You look like you have the ability to pull it off nicely.

    Have a good day!

  • You're good, kid. You're good.

  • thanks a lot!

  • Beautiful playing and tone! I am getting a 00028EC right away! WOW!

  • so could you just give me any type of tips/tricks about gigging or just playing my t5 at home. we got the same one, the "C-2". What style do u play it for?

  • well first i use it for EVERYTHiNG from jazz, rock, country, blues i mean everything and some tips i could give you are:

to use the guitar as much as you can so you know what it can and can't do at home so when at a gig you can do exactly what you want at any time

another thing is always look at the set-up of the guitar, make sure the strings are in good condition and if not change them (recommend Elixers) and clean it down so no grim builds up.

and finally always try new things with your T5

  • try new sounds, some pedals and just have fun with it, its a wonderful guitar that should be looked after and played right :P

  • so rich, i gigged last night with my 714, but i wanted to know how and if its possible to change chrome tuners to gold on lower taylor models. which "14ce" do u like the best?

  • it is possible to change them, the best way would be to go on the taylor website and they have replacement ones for sale. or you could get them at any local guitar store the only problem is that they might not fit the way you wish them to and might have to drill new holes for them, and my favorite 14ce model is the 814ce i just really like the spruce top with the abalone inlay around the binding. so if you get the taylor tuning machines then they will fit perfect and come off with one screw

  • wut do u think of the martin D-16RGT

  • i think its a nice guitar not too many frills. All depends on what you are looking to use it for. Solid Rosewood back and sides makes for a nice tone. so i think its a good guitar, should sound pretty good with the rosewood sides and back.

  • if i wanted to pick up bass guitar, is the 4 string Fender 51' precision a good idea. Its not too pricey and looks cool

  • if its a real 51 p-bass then its a great idea

  • wait, is this traveling songwriter smaller, like a baby taylor. im reading that it is "like" a full size? Would u gig with this at your shows? plugged or unplugged?

  • well they say its "like" a full size guitar because it is thinner and it doesn't have a direct sound hole on the tone board so i think thats what they mean and i think i would gig it yes and plugged since there is no sound hole it wouldn't sound the best unplugged

  • another guitar i found today was a gibson traveling songwriter, if u haven't seen it, it looks kinda like the t5. I think i might go for it, i dont compare gibson to other guitars but by itself, do u trust gibson?

  • i am familiar with the traveling songwriter, and i would recommend it for you.

i only trust gibsons if i can play them before i buy them i would never order a gibson acoustic without seeing how it look and plays before i purchase because they are very unreliable when it comes to finish jobs and wood choice. so if you can find one to play and it looks nice then i say go for it.

  • Also, i like the Taylor 314ce and its reasonably priced. but i am still concerned that its a "3" series and too close to the 100/200 series. i just want to know if its still a quality build like my 7 and T5, i would like a new taylor to go gig with

  • i wouldn't worry about the 300 series being built with any less quality, the only thing that i don't like about the 300 series is the satin body i like a gloss body. but your right, it is reasonably priced

i don't think that there should be any reason for you to worry about the quality of the build

  • Another guitar i was looking at was a takamine EF41SC, it looks great, and its competing against the taylors

  • funny, i haven't seen or heard of this guitar but if its said to be a competitor then it must be good. when i have a chance i will take a look at it

  • Awesome, i love taylors and i know some people there, i played a GS 8 today, but what acoustic models do u recommend, i know their all good bets, but im lookin for some specific models.

  • well the models that i like the most are the 714ce 712ce 614ce 612ce and the 812ce and 814ce.

like i said before the 12 series is the same shape as the 14 but it is far thinner. so the ones i mentioned all have electronics.

the ones i like with no electronics are:

    GC 6, GC 7, and GC 8

    GS 6, GS 7, and GS 8

you said it right any taylor is a safe bet, you will always get what you want with a little research.

  • i stopped by a local shop and tried the taylor acoustic series, really nice, im tryin to get some other opinion. Do you know anything about them?

  • i know everything about taylors that you will ever want to know, what is it exactly that you want to know?

  • Hey Richard, i got a problem with my 714, see ive been playin and some pretty deep pick sratches in the finish are making it look nasty, any recommendations on how to fill them in.

  • i don't have anything to fill them, i have the same thing they look like tiny bumps in finish like little teeth marks but i have nothing to fill them

  • i know u got a taylor t5 and and 714 but what are some other good "14" models by taylor? could u get it without the cutaway?

  • some other great 14 models are the 514ce and the 614ce the only problem in getting it without the cutaway is that you don't get electronics

its a package deal = electronics cutaway, no cutaway no electronics

so you may have to think about that

  • another thing you may want to look at is the 12 series its a thinner version of the 14 smaller in the hands still very nice i like the 12 just as much as the 14

  • have u ever played D-18V, cause in some videos they have really what i like in the way of Martin looks, red pick guard, and a color tone like the 714ce, I'd pick a martin based on those two aspects and price. Tell me what u think, love this song by the way

  • thanks for the comment about the song, its one of my favorites too

I just took a look at the D-18V for the first time, look nice with mahogany back and sides. with a spruce top must sound nice a lot like the 714ce. it has little or no binding along the body which is nice not to hard on the eyes. sounds good too, with a nice crisp sound (because of the hard wood) and the price looks good at around $2499 USD, sounds like a good deal. if you can find one close to you i would recommend picking it

  • up to play and see how it feels, its got the V neck too i think that the V in the D-18V haha, yeah if you can try one out i would recommend it, thanks about the song again too, check out my new one!

  • after looking into it i found that the V in D-18V stands for Vintage, this is just a toned color top which makes it yellower and has a more matte finish than usual, looks more vintage looking and used. its kind of a cloudy finish.

  • so whats the difference between the HD-28 and the D-28

  • the only difference between the two is that the HD-28 has herringbone inlay along the top edges and the D-28 just has purflering along the top edges, so nothing major just for looks really

  • do u think mahogany or rosewood should be a part of deciding which martin?

  • i don't think the DECIDING part but a rosewood guitar will give you a warmer sound and a mahogany guitar will give you a sharper tone, so its really up to what your looking for. most of my acoustics are rosewood. i really love the sound. so its up to the sound your looking for:

    rosewood = warm

    mahogany = sharp

  • Richard -

went to NYC to do some guitar shopping. Finally decided i want a martin instead of Gibson they sound better. Do you recommend other models of martin acoustic. Im thinking of buying used. I saw a D-18 that played beautiful. Let me know what u think - Rob

  • i love the whole 'D' series i own a D-41 special sounds awesome. i love how they play and they sound amazing. so if you can find a used martin D-18 for a good price that sounds good for sure but it. like i said i love the look sound and feel of them

  • Richard, since i cant afford the martin at this time, i wanted to know how it compares to a J-45, $2400 in US opposed to the martin $3100. Tell me about the neck, tone, good and bad, anythingh helpls, thanks -Rob

  • ok so the thing with these two guitars are that they are for two completely different things.

the J-45 for strumming out chords, and the Martin for finger picking (like i was doing)

so it really comes down to what you are going to be using it for and if i recall you said the same thing as i am so if you can wait for the money to get the Martin then i would.

now the necks on the two are complete opposite. J-45 has a very flat neck very thing and the Martin is V neck and very wide.

  • So in the situation your in right now i would say wait until you have the money because the tone on the Martin i think is much crisper when it comes to fingerpicking and even at chords where sine the J-45 is dreadnought it is kind of more bassy and covers the bass side more.

Also if this is going to be a main guitar for you and you put in the time and effort to find the right one i think the Martin would be best. so wait until the money is there and then get that, it will be worth it!

  • thank dude, i like your guitar room thats in your videos. Im planning on doing this in my downstairs room. besides guitars, posters and amplifiers, any cool things you think would enhance the feel of the room?

  • sounds cool! yeah i love my room

a couple things that i have in my room are:

    - a work station - to work on guitars

    - supplies; like strings,straps,and books

other than that looks like you got all the things you'll need for an awesome room

  • well i got a t5 and 714ce, im lookin for somethin a bit differnet, like you, i do mainly acoustic and im lookin for something that can go from strumming to acoustic blues and back. Any reasonable martins besides the clapton. Thanks for the help again -Rob

  • to tell you the truth, for what you want now that you have explained it is the 000-28EC it will give you everything you want and as you asked before, it is totally worth the price and the neck is awesome

so i think that this is the guitar for you, under your circumstances.

  • actually, do you recommend any gibson acoustic-electrics with thin necks, preferably something under 2500

  • i am not a big Gibson acoustic fan just from the quality of build but if its something that you like then i would have to say a J-45 or a Songwriter

both can be purchased with electronics

In my opinion i would either recommend a Taylor or Martin. they both have wonderful build quality and both sound amazing.

do you live in America? because some prices may be different than what i know in Canada.

  • Hey Richard, like the videos, i wanted to know if the clapton martin is worth the 3000 or so dollars for it? could you tell me about the feel of the neck and sound? Thanks- Rob

  • hey, thanks Rob!

the clapton is very much worth the cost and the neck is different then usual as you may know, it has the V shape. takes a while to get used to but once you do it seems like the only way. I know the sound isn't to good through the mic i had running but the sound is incredible and it is my go to acoustic and all my shows, thats what i play for acoustic.

So yes, very much worth the price and an amazing guitar

any more questions send them my way!

    thanks again!

  • Well done, kid.

  • thanks
