I became a Christian about 10 years ago and about a year after that, I saw Carman in Concert and ever since that night, I've been a fan of his. This is one of my favorite songs of Carman's. This is an awesome music video.
Thank you Carman! Once I saw this video, I thought about God more and forgot about the darkess time in my past. God bless you Carman and everyone even the ones that don't know about God!
“If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. Remember the word that I said to you: ‘A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours." John 15:18-20
@VadimCool Bibleman was a really popular Christian comic character in the 90s...it's being remade now, and my nephews are watching it, but the old ones were much better. Not too crazy about the new actors.
Carman is a God send. The church corporate stands in apostasy. The Word of God has been watered down by people more concerned with the spirit of the world and the persuit of money than preaching the cross and you must be born again. We're living in the times of Daniel's 70th week which looms on the horizon. The god of this age has so many deceived. I hope you find Jesus. It's your only hope. Pastor Gary, Shalom!
@garyehill We're living in the times of Daniel's 70th week which looms on the horizon. . What nonsense. We have been living in those times since the dawn of humanity.

This is bullshit. The crusades they didnt kill people who misinterpreted the scriptures! They killed people who didnt or refused to believe in that crap.
@MrAdwolfe1 No crusaders probably didn't kill people that believed in God and stated that. Crusaders were wariors and fought whereever the catholic Church sent them away from mainland. But on the Catholic mainland there were guards like police. And if they were ordered to execute a heretic, they would do it. And the catholic Church decided who is to speak for God. And only those that were supposed to have the authority was the Catholic Church. Whoever said otherwise, would lose his/her head.
@VadimCool the crusaders were formed when the crusades happened, which was to defend they byzantine empire from the invading Turks (Muslims). I think you are thinking of the Templar's being a police force, they were a bit different form the crusaders. The Crusades only went bad when they stopped doing what he Church told them. yet, corruption did happen form time to time it is a bit simplistic to say they killed whomever they wanted or any who did not believe was killed.
@MrAdwolfe1 The church had a lot of power at they believed that only those who had proven themselves to God should have been allowed to preach or to read from the scriptures mostly priests for only they were able to preach the word of God correctly because at the time people were not very clever preaching without being vetted by the church was a sin in case you preached it wrong, and in those days you could get executed for stealing bread imagine what you would get for disobeying the church
God is a God of righteousness God sits on the throne God is strong in battle God is God alone God wise and merciful God is soverign Lord God is pure and holy God reigns forevermore CHORUS: He's a great God, a righteous King Ruler over everything He's a great God, we will proclaim Honor and glory to his name
@30Jontheweb I pitty Jimmy Swaggart. It s just a modern way of spreading THE WORD, and I believe God blesses EVERYONE who believes and serves HIM....regardless of what Swaggarts says or thinks...you can be Catholic, Baptist, , Church Of Christ, God dosent care s long as you believe THE WORD and serve HIM.
@LadyKatherine1960 There shall be many coming in his name and deceive even some of the elect. So people think that it may not matter what we call ourselves. Yet such as Roman Catholics can not be Christians until they rebuke their connection to Roman Catholic Church. You can't serve two masters at the same time evil and good. Everyone represent Christ in every religion almost. And every Christ is different. Yet there can only be one true Christ. Can all be saved by just "whatever" Christ? No.
@VadimCool I am a Roman Catholic / Christian but respect other Christian that are non Catholic, people are humg up about what church you attend GOD just wants you to love and serve Him...A strange cant know your heart God knows Every one s heart. Show meWHERE IN THE BIBLE Roman Catholic s are not Christians...you do know the first followers of Christ were JEWISH and werent even called Christians untill MANY YEARS latter.
@LadyKatherine1960 Jesus was a Jew, but he wasn't a follower of Jewish people, he was a follower of God. When you claim to be a Roman Catholic, you give yourself a name more than just a Christian name. By that name you support Roman Catholic Church and all it's anti-Christian practises it sood for and still stands for today. Roman Catholic Church did nothing but giving a bad name for a Christian. Roman Catholics, Muslims, Jews today arent Christians as they represent different religious culture.
@VadimCool What part of being Roman Catholic is non Christian, being Pro Life, married untill death, believeing in God s mercy and grace, that the Bible is God s Holy Word, wich of thease are non Christian, Of course there are differant Religous culthers, AMERICAN Roman Catholics have a differant culther then LATIN Roman Catholic, American Protestants have a differant culther then Scottish Prostants,, maybe because they live in differant countries, HELLO
@LadyKatherine1960 I'm not talking about the things which Roman Catholic Church doesn't do. I'm talking about ALL of the things it DOES. It's not about saying that Bible is the word of God. It's about saying it and following it all at the same time which Roman Catholic Church never did. Sure it picks and shooses, anyone can do that, anyone besides a Christian. It's not about Cultures, it's about what Jesus have taught us to do as true Christians. And Geaorge Bush or the Pope aren't showing it.
@LadyKatherine1960 Said with shorter words, you can't have 2 masters with 2 different ways of doing things. If I knew what Roman Catholic Church stood for, I wouldn't be a part of it or have anything to do with them. The same goes for all of those so called State Churches. Have you ever heard of a Free Church? They also are all different, yet still better than a state church. Since usually a person burning for the truth or for life with Christ comes to a free church. Usually. Not for a Pop Star.
@LadyKatherine1960 And because of such churches, there is a wide range of people that call themselves Christians, yet don't even know the first thing about being a Christian. Such people are called Cultural Christians. You mentioned, cultures and such. Well it's not about being a "whatever" and call yourself a Christian. Some things comes with strings. And here you'll have to pull some strings to get the right tune. You don't just perform and get paid. It's about being born again Christian.
@VadimCool You must love talking to yourself because I am not going to play I am a better Christian then you game. You are free to think and believe as you chose just as I am. But I dont disrespect YOUR beliefs whatever they are and I qustion if you even REALLY know what Catholic s believe but that is your bussinse. Since YOU are not God I am not concerned with YOUR judgements
@LadyKatherine1960 Being a christian is not about the roman catholic religion, being a christian is about having a relationship with the Living God! God Loves relationships, not religion,
@MJForever56 Ok, what do YOU know about MY relationship with God THRU Christ. I dont tell any one they must be Catholic for me to love and respect them.
@LadyKatherine1960 I'm not questioning your relationship with God through Christ, and I'm very sure that you are a fantastic sister in Christ, that if I asked you to pray for me, you would pray for me. All I'm saying dear sister ,, is that no one should put a label on their faith, like catholic, prodestant, lutheran or whatever. because that's how the enemy loves to separate Christians by using Labels. I just want to say Jesus Loves you and so do I.
YAYYYY i have been looking for this vid for so long cause i remembered a vid that i saw when i was little of carman with a sword and i have been looking for it for weeks.
Next to "I said I loved you, but I lied" by Michael Bolton, this is the greatest video of all time. Carman is awesome. The part where the bible turns to a sword is clearly the best part, until you see Carman kick butt, and thats the best part. Well... its the best part until you see Carman's hair while he is kicking butt. Yeah.... that's the best part.
@spock592001 Yeah especially this video, this is a good place to start when it comes to the word of God. It clearly shows that we need to have more faith in God and less faith in this world we live in.
@maverickthexo Also, who are we to say God is on our time table,? A day to God could be years upon years to humans. The Bible had to be relatable to our human minds, because we cannot understand the interal workings of God, because he IS so GREAT!
I feel that I need to voice my opinion, As to the debate on evolution, well more the Big Bang theory, don't you think that when God said "Let there be light..." there had to of been a big reaction in the cosmos for this come to fruition? I think that some of the theories out there simply explain how things physically happened.
i really miss those days where church was about the "meat" of the word, and being serious about God and everything that comes with being a christian. i don't wanna complain, but being a christian isn't about how God can get you more money, and material things. it's not about skinny jeans and latest music. it's about being hard core for christ, and standing up in the face of evil, being one of His warriors.
Wow, I am sorry but really? With out Christ as a standard people won't know right from wrong??? A bit dogmatic if you ask me...but still a great a video lol
Actually it is true that without God people can't know right from wrong. Because without God:
1st We wouldn't be here in the first place.
2nd Only our God can possibly know what is right and what is wrong for us in life.
3rd It would be impossible for us to learn anything right in the world of corruption.
And last but not least. As true followers of Christ we learn one way or another, 10 times more about what's right and what's wrong in this world than others in this world.
I realize that this is a pointless argument, but bear with me. Imagine the shoe is on the other foot. Imagine the majority religion was not Christian, let's say the majority religion is Hinduism. As a Christian, you want to raise your children with Christian beliefs, and that's fine. You're well within your rights to do that, but if the school is teaching them Hindu beliefs then they are undermining your teachings at home. This is why no government institution can endorse a religion.
@a3don To go ahead and address the issue of evolution, there is tremendous amounts of evidence in favor of this theory. Sure, certain parts are found to be flawed, so the theory is tweaked. But it is universally supported by the facts that evolution has and is occurring. No creation story has any evidence to support it. As such, it is a hypothesis at best. This is why it is not taught in schools. Evolution is not religion. It is science, and as such supported by real empirical evidence.
My friend, evolution is taught in schools, not because it's true. But because people want to give themselves right to that they can "possibly" know better than some God that we can't see. But seeing is not necessary believing.
1st After all we have at least 5 senses from which we base our world view on.
2nd There is actually a 6th sense like, universal knowledge of right and wrong. That is including intuition, moral standarts etc.
3rd When everything falls apart, we seek help from above.

@a3don The reason why God isn't taught in school is because people don't seek God that much these days. They therefore rarely experience anything unusual. And "pride" for ourselves is actually our number 1 enemy as it was when Lucifer fell into corruption. But even from a philosophical point of view, there is nothing that we actually can be sure of knowing for sure. And therefore everything we sense is based on pure "FAITH". That's why people seek help from above when they fail to control life.
@a3don And so with all those points and all that said. I can't see any reason why science should even be considered as an obstacle to faith in God. One thing is "knowledge", and another is "wisdom". If one understands the difference between those two. Then he should know that science can stil co-exist side by side with faith. And also, God wouldn't contradict his own word. Only man, make mistakes all the time. Besides, you can know many things, but not neccessarily those that you really need.
@VadimCool couple things to address, primarily, science is not an obstacle to god. There are many people who believe that science is a way to better understand the world and better understand god's glory. Secondly, evolution, is not an origin of species theory. It's a theory to explain the diversity of life. And people do not believe in evolution out of "pride" there is tremendous evidence supporting it, including genetic tracing and the fossil record.
@a3don 1. You're funny, but you didn't pay much attention to my points. A person dosn't learn from knowledge alone but from wisdom applied to it. Science doesn't teach God. God teaches science. God makes and changes the laws of science. Threre is no reverse engineering in here. 2. Pride is in most people no matter what. But how many give it up to God. Those that don't, automatically proud of their own achievements. As for evolution and fossils, I find this topic quite hularious: v=0Fmh8PCmrlk
@VadimCool There is a theory to describe the origin of life. It is a field called abiogenesis, which i highly recommend researching if you're interested in that sort of thing. This is not taught below a college level however. As far as public schools, grades k-12 evolution is taught, yes. The reason is that there is massive evidence supporting it. Trust me, I live in the bible belt. If there was half the evidence supporting a creation theory, then it would be taught. But there is none.
@a3don 3. As for the rest that you've mentioned like "abiogenesis", "evidence" and "heart". Most simple answer would be that abiogenesis has nothing to do with wisdom of life, instead everything with the heart, a pure belief in one way, just the wrong one. Since knowledge is irrelevant without wisdom and life. And evidence are there. As mentioned before that we don't have eyes only. But also other 4 senses. And 6th sense, lets just call it our mind, spirituality, intuition, ghosts, miracles etc.
@VadimCool Now you can make claims that people truly feel it in their hearts, but that's not exactly credible. I'd wager there were people who really truly felt in their hearts that the earth arose from the Nile. However, we both know this is a load of rubbish. In addition, most morals are relative. The only two I can think of that are nigh universal are murder and theft are bad, personally I believe that's more empathy and self-preservation. than anything. Society instills most morality.
@a3don Now back to moral views. It's true that moral views swing a little from person to person. But only because morals are corrupted. Not because they don't exist. Yes most of us wish to live and let live. But where does the it all come from? Beauty or life filled with death? Certainly not death. Everyone knows that survival is our only way to find life. Yet survival alone isn't life. Therefore some choose to ignore it, others seek salvation. Morals are there, just are corrupted in most of us.
@VadimCool 1. I don't make much reference to wisdom as that cannot be taught, it's just something you pick up as you go through life. I don't dispute the origin of the universe being god, I don't believe it. But I've not read much evidence one way or the other, I'm just leaving it up in the air for now. Also, if god changes the rules of science, he doesn't do it often. 2. Yes, people have pride. Me moreso than many. I don't see it as a bad thing. Pride help maintain character.

@VadimCool at least for me anyways. As per morals, morals change over time. Even from the old testament to now. Case in point, if you read the old testament objectively. David was psychotic. The goliath thing, understandable. granted decapitation was taking it a bit far. But he blackmails a farm into supporting him, he tries to usurp the throne. When he gets the throne he practically kills a man and rapes his wife. Not a nice fellow. And there's countless other instances of people being
@a3don "David was psychotic." - Yeah ok that statement is a bit overrated I think. If then David was so psychotic, then the rest of the people during his time were complete psychopaths, according to your perspective. And look at today, once you get in power, you can get away with worse things than sending a man to die. How about millions? At least David repented, do we do that today? That's a huge difference between him and us. We are acting much worse today and don't even see it.
@VadimCool fubar'd in the old testament. I assume you've read it, so I'll not go too much into it. As per corruption, well then I'm simply going to ask, with all the various ranges in morality. Which one's closer to pure? Certainly not mine, I'll grant you. I'm narcissistic, sarcastic, and a bit of an ass. I will grant you, morality is nice. But put people in a circumstance of survival and it doesn't last long. Anyways, this is all drifting away from my original point. Schools being a
@a3don Indeed as mentioned before, morals do exist. They are just 1. Corrupted. and 2. Ignored lots of the time. Even when we're aware of doing something wrong. Instead of repenting or asking for forgiveness. We ignore it over for ourselves even. Not not only we try to lie our way out of it over for others, but indeed even ourselves. And when we're deceiving ourselves. Then there is no greather sin than that. Since we're not only against a God or our closest to us, but even against ourselves.
@a3don Eventually, no matter how corrupted we are. The point is that God did give us realization of wrong doings and therefore we do have standart morals. Just some have corrupted or ignored them more than others. Or some didn't choose to seek realization of them. But it's like seeing a face and remembering a blur image until we meet that face again. Then we recognize if it's the face we saw before or not. The same with morals. But no matter how corrupted we are, God is our healer & saviour.
@a3don If we're put, say Earth. It's like a box and it gets smaller by each day. Small world as they say :)
Morals don't last long here indeed. And with 2nd, 3rd World Wars and all kind of evil. We indeed won't last for long if it all keeps up. It's not about IF we fall one day, but WHEN we fall. And when we do, who is there to catch us?:) God is our only hope today. And indeed God does reveal to us our corruption as it's difficult for ourselves to scan ourselves for virus. God helps us, not us.

@VadimCool governmental institution, cannot show preference to one religion or another. As such, creationism is not taught in the classroom. Evolution is, but doesn't necessarily contradict creationism, so long as you take a loose interpretation of most creation stories. And the reason evolution is taught is because there's evidence supporting it. We can argue all day about the validity of evidence, and I'm all for it. I enjoy debate. But, this part of my assertion was the important bit.
@a3don Evolution is taught in class. And I don't have a problem against teaching people more about facts of this world. But when we begin to teach our opinions as facts. Then it becomes like a religion with a hidden worshiping. And if God is true. Then that won't be only a religion, but a pagan or even satanic religion in one way or another. With other words, no better than anything else that aren't considered to be facts by some scientists. But facts need to be experienced, not debated.
@a3don Pure morals don't really exist in this world just like the 10 commandments. We realize them in our lives. So yes, troughout our lives, when we learn more wisdom, our morals should be recognized or realized. And the problem is, if we apply the wrong wisdom or philosophy to our lives. We end up with wrong morals or corrupted views on life. If we can't tell the difference between living and dying. That's usually a strong sign of very corrupted morals. But nothing that can't be fixed though.
But here is the final level of difficulty. Even us Christians, when we find God. Not all of us stay in faith. Some of us backsliding in time. Others hated or didn't want to believe in God, and in the end still end up in God's grace in keeping their faith. Even when we know of evil, not all of us choosing to turn away from it. Some believe that they can't even with God. Others rather giving up fighting it and think more about themselves and less of God. Ironically without God all is lost.
In the end, no matter how used we are to this world of evil, (and we are getting more and more used to evil and corrupted morals). No matter how real we think this world is. No matter how much we think that we know or could know about this world. We aren't Gods and never will be. Most of the time we can't even help ourselves, not to mention our closest. All that doesn't matter in the end. The only thing we can and should know is who will save us. And in our case there is God to help us.
I like this video. History is one of my favorite subjects now. I wasn't that interested in it when I was younger, unless I was studying the Holocaust and Anne Frank, but I love history now! Carman has gone right up my history alley with this video.
feel like evolution is ok to teah in school, i dont agree with it, but we learn theory to learn what is tought, but whats wrong with learning about god if you want to, my school actually put a block on anything doing with god on the computers, it says
My this brings back the memories... I love all the theatrical stuff Carmen did back in the day. Seems just a wee tad cheesy now but you don't notice that as a kid. This song/video and others like it really had an affect in my and my development as a child. Thank God for the real Christian mentors and teachers Carmen represents here that are showing the younger generation the Way, Truth and Life.
"JESUS SAVES --->CONFESS TO GOD THAT YOU HAVE SINNED AGAINST HIM,REPENT OF YOUR SINS FROM YOUR HEART AND ASK JESUS TO SAVE YOU BEFORE YOU LEAVE GOD EARTH *ROMANS 10:9-13;PSALM 32:5* & READ & OBEY GOD'S WORD TILL YOU DEAD LEAVE GOD WORLD! LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF GOD SAYS
This song is about the actions of the church but they had the wrong spiritual entity guiding them. They were'nt following the true GOD..He says this at the beginning in the classroom.
CONFESS TO GOD THAT YOU HAVE SINNED AGAINST HIM,REPENT OF YOUR SINS FROM YOUR HEART AND ASK JESUS TO SAVE YOU BEFORE YOU LEAVE GOD EARTH *ROMANS 10:9-13;PSALM 32:5* & READ & OBEY GOD'S WORD TILL YOU DEAD LEAVE GOD WORLD! LOVE YOUR NEIGHBOR AS THYSELF GOD SAYS; DO IT OR ELSE LEAVE GOD EARTH!
1 We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain. 2 For He says: “ In an acceptable time I have heard you, And in the day of salvation I have helped you.”[a] Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.
this is one of his greatest hits. The song was recorded as a protest to what was going on with the christains and the government at the time. This song came out two days after the law passed in congress that having a moment of silence every morning in school became illegal. This song is A PROTEST NOT A HISTORY LESSON.
Song is good and that's why I wanted it on youtube for others to find. But also the beginning of the video and whole video itself. You can most definetly learn something from this video. So what is the point of this song if you don't learn from it?
Ok, that was kinda funny... You know, I really haven't thought about it this way before. Ohh, right... Maybe because Bible turning into a sword is "figuratively" showing. But even if it did turn into a sword, by you saying that it is magic is kinda saying like you don't believe in God and his way. :)
As for the long hair, exactly how long is long? And secondly, it shouldn't disturb the message that the video is sending as it isn't a sin anyways to have a "bit" long hair.
@kybilly2000 Actually the Bible calls itself a sword in Revelation. Remember? Christ has a "double edged sword" coming out of his mouth...i.e, the Scriptures coming out of his mouth. Also, it's likely that Christ himself had long hair considering he was a Nazerene and that was how they wore their hair.
@TankianTV are you on drugs?its just a song and just because you believe god exist doesnt mean i do so i would appreciate if you didnt say us and what power ive seen nothing but war and hurt from religion unlike you i dont need somone else such as a pastor to tell me how i should live.
@kj4fdq in your opinion until i see some actual proof like jesus magically descends from the heavens my opinion is that he died and god does not exist and yes you feel free sto state what you believe its just the person i replied to kept on stating things as if i believed what they did
@amiapunk88 I love the video! I have a Pastor friend over in Pakistan who's life has been threatened because he is a Christian and his still standing. May we all stand up for Jesus even if it costs us our lives.
this song has got to be the reason why I like Carman so much. He was/is brilliant in this and always will be. YOU GO Carman! You are effing amazing! :D
Just the other day i went to Front Royal, Virginia, to see Carman perform in a small church. It was one of the best days of my life!! He is a little older, but he looks basically the same. Great God, and Sunday's on the way are my favorite songs by Carman. Revival in the Land is also a spectacular one of Carman's. I can barely comprehend that I actually saw the maker of this video!! May God Bless Carman till his very last days!!
I think this one is relatively good of Carmen. He's mostly just saying that his religious beliefs are good. I still don't like the way he portrays it in such a harsh context of him against the world - it needn't be that hard!

No.
VadimCool 8 months ago
@VadimCool I am a Roman Catholic / Christian but respect other Christian that are non Catholic, people are humg up about what church you attend GOD just wants you to love and serve Him...A strange cant know your heart God knows Every one s heart. Show meWHERE IN THE BIBLE Roman Catholic s are not Christians...you do know the first followers of Christ were JEWISH and werent even called Christians untill MANY YEARS latter.
LadyKatherine1960 8 months ago
@LadyKatherine1960 Jesus was a Jew, but he wasn't a follower of Jewish people, he was a follower of God. When you claim to be a Roman Catholic, you give yourself a name more than just a Christian name. By that name you support Roman Catholic Church and all it's anti-Christian practises it sood for and still stands for today. Roman Catholic Church did nothing but giving a bad name for a Christian. Roman Catholics, Muslims, Jews today arent Christians as they represent different religious culture.
VadimCool 8 months ago
@VadimCool What part of being Roman Catholic is non Christian, being Pro Life, married untill death, believeing in God s mercy and grace, that the Bible is God s Holy Word, wich of thease are non Christian, Of course there are differant Religous culthers, AMERICAN Roman Catholics have a differant culther then LATIN Roman Catholic, American Protestants have a differant culther then Scottish Prostants,, maybe because they live in differant countries, HELLO
LadyKatherine1960 8 months ago
@LadyKatherine1960 I'm not talking about the things which Roman Catholic Church doesn't do. I'm talking about ALL of the things it DOES. It's not about saying that Bible is the word of God. It's about saying it and following it all at the same time which Roman Catholic Church never did. Sure it picks and shooses, anyone can do that, anyone besides a Christian. It's not about Cultures, it's about what Jesus have taught us to do as true Christians. And Geaorge Bush or the Pope aren't showing it.
VadimCool 8 months ago
@LadyKatherine1960 Said with shorter words, you can't have 2 masters with 2 different ways of doing things. If I knew what Roman Catholic Church stood for, I wouldn't be a part of it or have anything to do with them. The same goes for all of those so called State Churches. Have you ever heard of a Free Church? They also are all different, yet still better than a state church. Since usually a person burning for the truth or for life with Christ comes to a free church. Usually. Not for a Pop Star.
VadimCool 8 months ago
@LadyKatherine1960 And because of such churches, there is a wide range of people that call themselves Christians, yet don't even know the first thing about being a Christian. Such people are called Cultural Christians. You mentioned, cultures and such. Well it's not about being a "whatever" and call yourself a Christian. Some things comes with strings. And here you'll have to pull some strings to get the right tune. You don't just perform and get paid. It's about being born again Christian.
VadimCool 8 months ago
@VadimCool You must love talking to yourself because I am not going to play I am a better Christian then you game. You are free to think and believe as you chose just as I am. @nooksak1
VadimCool 1 year ago

It is science, and as such supported by real empirical evidence.
a3don 1 year ago
@a3don
VadimCool 1 year ago

VadimCool 1 year ago
@a3don The reason why God isn't taught in school is because people don't seek God that much these days. They therefore rarely experience anything unusual. And "pride" for ourselves is actually our number 1 enemy as it was when Lucifer fell into corruption. But even from a philosophical point of view, there is nothing that we actually can be sure of knowing for sure. And therefore everything we sense is based on pure "FAITH". That's why people seek help from above when they fail to control life.
VadimCool 1 year ago
@a3don And so with all those points and all that said. I can't see any reason why science should even be considered as an obstacle to faith in God. One thing is "knowledge", and another is "wisdom". If one understands the difference between those two. Then he should know that science can stil co-exist side by side with faith. And also, God wouldn't contradict his own word. Only man, make mistakes all the time. Besides, you can know many things, but not neccessarily those that you really need.
VadimCool 1 year ago
@VadimCool couple things to address, primarily, science is not an obstacle to god. There are many people who believe that science is a way to better understand the world and better understand god's glory. Secondly, evolution, is not an origin of species theory. It's a theory to explain the diversity of life. And people do not believe in evolution out of "pride" there is tremendous evidence supporting it, including genetic tracing and the fossil record.
a3don 1 year ago
VadimCool 1 year ago
@VadimCool There is a theory to describe the origin of life. It is a field called abiogenesis, which i highly recommend researching if you're interested in that sort of thing. This is not taught below a college level however. As far as public schools, grades k-12 evolution is taught, yes. The reason is that there is massive evidence supporting it. Trust me, I live in the bible belt. If there was half the evidence supporting a creation theory, then it would be taught. But there is none.
a3don 1 year ago
VadimCool 1 year ago
@VadimCool Now you can make claims that people truly feel it in their hearts, but that's not exactly credible. I'd wager there were people who really truly felt in their hearts that the earth arose from the Nile. However, we both know this is a load of rubbish. In addition, most morals are relative. The only two I can think of that are nigh universal are murder and theft are bad, personally I believe that's more empathy and self-preservation. than anything. Society instills most morality.
a3don 1 year ago
@a3don Now back to moral views. It's true that moral views swing a little from person to person. But only because morals are corrupted. Not because they don't exist. Yes most of us wish to live and let live. But where does the it all come from? Beauty or life filled with death? Certainly not death. Everyone knows that survival is our only way to find life. Yet survival alone isn't life. Therefore some choose to ignore it, others seek salvation. Morals are there, just are corrupted in most of us.
VadimCool 1 year ago

And there's countless other instances of people being
a3don 1 year ago
@a3don "David was psychotic." - Yeah ok that statement is a bit overrated I think. If then David was so psychotic, then the rest of the people during his time were complete psychopaths, according to your perspective. And look at today, once you get in power, you can get away with worse things than sending a man to die. How about millions? At least David repented, do we do that today? That's a huge difference between him and us. We are acting much worse today and don't even see it.
VadimCool 1 year ago
@VadimCool fubar'd in the old testament. I assume you've read it, so I'll not go too much into it. As per corruption, well then I'm simply going to ask, with all the various ranges in morality. Which one's closer to pure? Certainly not mine, I'll grant you. I'm narcissistic, sarcastic, and a bit of an ass. I will grant you, morality is nice. But put people in a circumstance of survival and it doesn't last long. Anyways, this is all drifting away from my original point. Schools being a
a3don 1 year ago
@a3don Indeed as mentioned before, morals do exist. They are just 1. Corrupted. and 2. Ignored lots of the time. Even when we're aware of doing something wrong. Instead of repenting or asking for forgiveness. We ignore it over for ourselves even. Not not only we try to lie our way out of it over for others, but indeed even ourselves. And when we're deceiving ourselves. Then there is no greather sin than that. Since we're not only against a God or our closest to us, but even against ourselves.
VadimCool 1 year ago
@a3don Eventually, no matter how corrupted we are. The point is that God did give us realization of wrong doings and therefore we do have standart morals. Just some have corrupted or ignored them more than others. Or some didn't choose to seek realization of them. But it's like seeing a face and remembering a blur image until we meet that face again. Then we recognize if it's the face we saw before or not. The same with morals. But no matter how corrupted we are, God is our healer & saviour.
VadimCool 1 year ago

But, this part of my assertion was the important bit.
a3don 1 year ago
@a3don Evolution is taught in class. And I don't have a problem against teaching people more about facts of this world. But when we begin to teach our opinions as facts. Then it becomes like a religion with a hidden worshiping. And if God is true. Then that won't be only a religion, but a pagan or even satanic religion in one way or another. With other words, no better than anything else that aren't considered to be facts by some scientists. But facts need to be experienced, not debated.
VadimCool 1 year ago
@a3don Pure morals don't really exist in this world just like the 10 commandments. We realize them in our lives. So yes, troughout our lives, when we learn more wisdom, our morals should be recognized or realized. And the problem is, if we apply the wrong wisdom or philosophy to our lives. We end up with wrong morals or corrupted views on life. If we can't tell the difference between living and dying. That's usually a strong sign of very corrupted morals. But nothing that can't be fixed though.
VadimCool 1 year ago
@a3don
VadimCool 1 year ago
@a3don

It isn't showing magic. It's done figuratively.

@amiapunk88 I love the video! I have a Pastor friend over in Pakistan who's life has been threatened because he is a Christian and his still standing. May we all stand up for Jesus even if it costs us our lives.
