It was an awesome show!!!! One of my only 7. First night was canceled because of the blizzard. We spent it in a hotel room tweeken. lol But 3/24 totally made up for it. TY Jerry, for the experience brother. God Bless the.
at my very last grateful dead show the guy behind me (Giant Stadium June '95) puked during Stagger Lee. Maybe it was the thought of Stager Lee getting shot in the nads that took him over the edge
This jam has such a smooth, fluidic quality, it's actually kind of musically slippery. If you watch this after smoking a shitload of killer weed, you know exactly what I mean.
i always love on the tape how phil tells some dude that everyone is waiting for him to quit hangin from the balcony right before they play this version
It's always nice seeing Jerry play, and this is a strong version of Stagger Lee. But for a clean, crisp audio of this, you all have to go to the Internet Archive (dot) org and find this show and listen to it. It's far, far superior in sound quality. And while you're at it, listen to the beautiful Peggy-O from 4 nights later, 3/27/93. Peace, Harper
No, he sang Delia lit ~his~ cigarette which is weird b/c I always assumed "Delia lit a cigarette" implied she was smoking. Of course Jerry's been known to butcher lyrics so god only knows. He sang "cut my deck to the king of spades" once, too, in dire wolf. Not sure if it meant anything at the time (right after the rodney king verdict so it's possible) but it's fun to ponder.
I agree friend , but Saratoga 6.27.1985 is THE KICKDOWN March 10 93 Rosemont is my favourite 90s version of Stagger lee . Just strong , like this one from NC
Excellent performance of this song. Jerry got all the words right. "blew the smoke off her revolver..." I ain't Dead but I sure am Grateful. I love you more than words can tell. Thank you Jerry
THANK YOU! (for posting)

Perhaps only song from the Dead catalog that sounded better when performed in the 90's than in the 80's or late 70's.
