I hope your referring to the LEG comic and not the film. Also I dont get why Quatermain is played by an american when hes an English man from an English book(King Solomons Mines).
its been 19 years since i saw this movie and finally found out the name of it and watched it again, hearing the theme song again sure did spark up a good feeling!
Hilarious...the guy who plays his brother (the blonde haired guy standing next to Sharon Stone at 1:07 I presume) is actually Chamberlain's boyfriend...how campy and barfonic is that...you got Sharon Stone (who was just a babe and still is), and a fudgepacking star who secures a spot for his boyfriend playing his brother. If Sharon takes it all off, they'll both be running for the little boys' room shouting 'gross!'
I love Alan Quatermain. Indiana Jones was based off him, and also, when they use him in the League of Extraordinary Gentlemen it made me LOL a bit in side.
@Cropsy25 Allan Quatermain came first. He was a character in a series of books back in the late 1800s and early 1900s. He was one of the many inspirations for Indiana Jones.
@Wolfshifter oh really? i didn't know that. whats weird is i just saw king solomans mines the other day for the first time and from what i saw it was actually a pretty fun movie but i would i have 2 c both of them to really say for certain but i have only heard bad things about them but i guess that will have 2 be up 2 me 2 say when i c them.
@Cropsy25 They did try to make him out to be more like Indiana Jones in these movies because they thought it would sell better. The character is actually supposed to be more like he is in The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen.
@Wolfshifter You are right, but this incarnation of Quatermaine has nothing to do with original of Haggard. Its a copy of Indiana Jones, even music theme is done in similar manner.
One thing I never understand, is that in 90% of the films with Allan Quatermain in, he is depicted as a wild west American, when he's supposed to be a British game hunter... it's sad really, because I'd really like to have an accurate Allan Quatermain.

@aGlowingTeapot Indiana Jones didn't exist until almost 100 years after Allan Quatermain.
