you got a 30,000 dollar car quit being cheap and put some gas in it. Every time you let it get that low where the light comes on you put more wear and tear on the fuel pump. Just to let you know to save you some money in the future.
Wow, the interior of the new Evo is so much better than the previous garbage (Evo 9). Now it's actually competitive with the STi's interior, but the STi lacks a DC transmission...
The only MAJOR drawback to the EVO 10 interior is no power seats.
WTF, it's a $35-40k car and it doesn't have power seats?
Big deal to me because when I'm just going shopping/commuting a like a more relaxed seating position for ease of entry/exit.
When I hit the back roads I want to be able to press a memory seat setting and have it move a little closer to the pedals and seat back to be more upright., you know a more aggressive driving position.
I have an Evo X and I can tell you that REAL RACING seats is FAR more valuable then comfy little padded power seats. The Evo X comes with RECAROS and as a race enthusiast I can tell you its one of the best factory seats you can have for racing.
Great for racing, but even if I had a track ready car like the Evo I'd probably only do a handful of track days a year. I would much rather have the power seats of a BMW M3.
Besides, if I was REAL RACING as you say, it wouldn't be in a $35k+ Evo 10, it would be in a built up turbocharged Miata or something else that's cheap, light and RWD.
I was referring to the recaros being real racing seats. As far as a turbo Miata is concerned, it may be good for some fun, but it wont remain cheap for long if you wanna compete competatively in road racing, you will have to do some major suspension, tire, and engine tuning. Light and RWD doesn't necessarily mean anything. If you wanna compete successfully in roadracing you're going to need something that pulls good lateral G's in the turns.
Not at all, but AWD is outlawed in every ON TARMAC racing series in the world. It's an unfair advantage which is why it was banned- look up the Skyline. Though I think a new Porsche hybrid race car has electric motors on the front wheels and uses a flywheel to build-up/store energy that allows so many second of juice to the front wheels per lap/race. Of course AWD is required for high-level rally racing.
I'm just saying for a track day car I would want something light and RWD.
@Pube83 so for a track day car you want something that's legal for races but worse....you're planning on competing? No. So why would you want what's worse.
Is that DSM yours? My first ride was an GSX...thank God I took auto mechanics in high school or I couldn't have afforded to keep (turbo, ex manifold, timing belt, clutch, exhaust, etc.). It was a fun car when it ran perfect.

Refuel on screen is probebly the thing that whil be on there the most with this monster :D

Sorry, but to me the Mazda 3 interior looks cheap.
The VW's plaid seats are lame as is the no-xenon stock headlights in order to cheapen up the MK6 vs the MK5.

Not mine but i have a 97 Gsx forest green looks similar but not as nice, I haven't really had any problems with mine since i got it 8 months ago..
