I agree with you one some parts, had a w995 before my iphone 4, both got their ups and downs. I miss the sound on the w995. But thats the only thing i miss, rest the iPhone 4 got better. Maybe not 8.1 mp, it's 5 mp, still you got like a 10 times better picture on a iPhone. 720p video, the video recording on w995 really was crap. And you say it got so many great apps, a iPhone got appstore with thousends of apps. But when you compared these, the iPhone 4 wasn't made. W995 win vs 3gs but not 4.

Im totally agree with u @jamesingtonthethird W995 is better than the iphone, some pros of w995:

-8.1 MP camera and iphone only has got today to 5MP

-Apps already included like google maps, and the other 3 ones u show

-the voice transformer app already cames with the phone (that is an amazing app)

-Buttons(more efficient that touch->iphone touch really freaks me out when typing)

- They have media control buttons which r great

-Size: obviously is smaller than iphone.

This will be my next phone!

The only phone that i could possible imagine being better than the w995 would be th Sony Ericsson Xeperia. Honestly iphones are the most over rated toys on the cell phone market. sony has been able to make phones that could do everything the 3GS could way before it came out. I would know, i owned a w580i and it was fantastic! Now i'm the very proud owner of a W995 and only look forward to replacing it with another sony, but that won't be for years B)
