If I am not mistaken, in this Poland-NATO exercises F-16 block 52+ and MiG-29A were even in score. I have read a Polish article about it. They conducted 1 on 1 duels, 2 on 2 WVR and 4 vs 4 BVR.

Im wondering what calibre pilot is in the 29? Because the Mig is more powerful... has a better climb and can outturn the f16. Guess the American Pilots must've been Maverick and goose or somethin.

@tomjohnson1974 In afterburner some fuel isn't burnt. It was problem in early MiG-29s due materials used in nozzle exhaust. They corrected it later, but since big quantities of such nozzles were produced, they continued to equip MiG-29s with them, even when problem was already solved.

ale wy jesteście dziwni. Przecież to jest pokaz dla publiczności i ma nie wiele wspólnego z prawdziwa walką. Ma być widowiskowo i tyle. A ta wersji Mig-29 to nigdy nie była rewelacja. Był co najwyżej dobry 20 lat temu. A ze w Polsce wogule nie inwestowano w ich modernizacji to już coraz bardziej zaczynają odstawać od konkurencji.

Widzę, że prędkości niezbyt duże, Migi pewnie były górą. Ciekawie się zaczyna jak eF wchodzi na 9g i zaczyna kręcić :)

Co zaczyna kręcić? Bąka? Przeciązenie to nie jedyny parametr istotny w walce powietrznej. MiGa-29 i F-16 świetnie porównał J.Gotowała generalnie MiG jest owiele lepszy w walce manewrowej a podstawowe wersje F-16 nie mają z nim szans również w walce na dystans. Trudno porównywać F-16 we współczesnych wersjach do 20 letnich Migów. Porównajcie do wersji MiG-35.

MiG jest duzo lepszy na walke manewrową bez dwuch zdan;D tutaj widac jak migi się dają........lataly w szyku bojowym niemal caly czas,by dac mozliwoosc wejscia sobie na tyl.......lecz po chwili zmykaly;D

Nieprawda - na jednym z forów o lotnictwie sam pilot MiGa przyznał, że F-16 w naszej wersji z AIM-9X i swoimi celownikami nahełmowymi biją pod względem walk manewrowych migi na głowę.

Nasze F-16 narazie nie mają AIM-9X. Lecz to nie jest ważne ponieważ współcześnie pojedynki rozstrzygają się na dystansach 10 - 100 Km.

It looks like the F-16's had the better end of the deal this time. Do all Mig 29's leave such a huge column of balck smoke? Sure makes them easy to find. It kind of reminds me of the old F-4 Phantoms.

yes,one of the problem (big problem)of the mig 29 is the black smoke, you can see them much further then other aircrafts.

@asusucks In these Polish-NATO exercises Polish MiG-29 pilots learned to use this smoke in their benefit. In duel 4-vs-4 lead of MiGs was going left or right and high, the other 3 were going in other direction. Lead was turning on afterburner in a vertical flight and then was turning it off and running in opposite direction of other 3 MiGs. F-16 pilots, seeing the smoke, were flying towards there, and 3 MiGs were coming to their tales from behind.
