No problem. The idea came to me when i saw another one of your videos where you went to the other side of the house to demonstate how loud it was, and I just noticed that as you went further away, it sounded a lot better.
I thought I had a blown bulb in mine at first. Make sure the 2 white wires and the red one are hooked up together. The black wire is used by itself. If the bulb is blown, I think Radio Shack may have replacments.
And that's on medium volume imagine how it would sound on high volume

Turn down the volume, you expect to have these things make a quiet noise?

the 4030-2 and the 4040 is the loudest simplex alarm
Xsk8r114 4 years ago
True. But this is my loudest in MY collection. :)
soccerdude7330 4 years ago
all simplex alarms seem to be loud.
th3sp0rk 3 years ago
Even enough to wake up the dead.
Thank goodness Shoe City where I currently work doesn't utilize any Simplex fire alarms, but the Edwards 874-n5 is just as loud as Simplex.
tpirman1982 2 years ago
Recomend moving the camera or audio intake further away from the alarm. The sound is too loud and you are getting some distortion with your audio.

I'll remember that next time. Sounds like a good idea!
