Finally! A coherent narrative to portray a complex plot, a music video that tells it like it is while exhibiting some advanced production values, by Kate Bush no less. But I've also heard that the song was inspired by some mad old military theories (not sure which military) about the use of sound as a deadly weapon in war. As she says in the song "all they wanted was a sound that could kill someone from the distance". Apparently they decided the most terrible sound was the scream of mothers who's told about the death of their children.
