  • Nvm my last comment, everythjing is up and running as it should. It's just that I had the airplane traffic from MyTraffic X set to 50%. I tried lowering it to 23% and everything is smooth again. Gauges are working too.

  • I wish I had my gauges functioning and my pc running with that performance..

    Hell, this video is from 2008! I bought my laptop in 2010 and everytime I install two addons or more my plane moves with an incredible lag. Even if I tweak settings to Very Low.

    My Specs:

    Dual Core i3 330M - 2.13GHz

    ATI Radeon HD 5145 - 512MB (2048 with HyperMemory)

    4GB DDR3 RAM

    I can run H.A.W.X with Max settings (DX10.1), even GTA IV without much lag on medium settings but not this piece of shit software from 2006..

  • Nice tutorial. Shame low res vid doesn't do it justice.

    Flying this type of aircraft is neither fun nor easy when you are on your own.

    That's why I enlist the help of a virtual co-pilot.

    I use something called "Multi Crew Experience", and when I need something done while my hands are tied, I just bark a voice command.

    Since there is a fully working Demo available for download, all you need is a headset with microphone in order to experience the thrill of voice control :-))

  • @bigsparrow1 I originally recorded at 1680x1050, I've since upgraded to a 1920x1200 monitor, if I make any more tutorials you can count on them being Hidef!

    When my take off fail and i went to far from the runway! I PRESS THE PARKING BREAK! ITS BETTER THAN BREAK! LOL... I CANT FIND THE EMERGENCY BREAK ... SO INSTEAD I USE THE PARKING BREAK!

The whole point of playing a flight "simulator" is to "simulate" an actual flight. If you're gonna do it, do it right. You would be surprised how much this "game" helps you in real life.

  • When youre flying a long flight, how do you save the flight with the pmdg because when I do and load the flight a different time and every thing in the cockpit that i set up is back to default. I WOULD APPRECIATE SOME HELP THANX.

  • If I know my airplanes, you may have missed setting both the auto-spoilers and the auto-brake in the event a rejected takeoff is needed, otherwise very nice video, I love the callouts

  • it means your are climbing. you can see in the vertical speed indicator the green numbers that tells you the climb rate in feet per minute.

  • Yes, as soon as the aircraft starts to gain altitude, retract the landing gear.

  • Did u solve the problem? ... cuz maybe the problem isnt the weight ...could be you have to set the Flaps.. before takin off... =S .... or u gotta make sure your joystick is calibrated axis Y.

  • no i have a yoke and pedals and yeah I make sure the flaps are set to 8, I think the weight was an issue because I can now take off quicker in a 747, but thanks anyways.

The closest he ever got to a cockpit was when he got on the plane and walked past it going to his seat. He is a liar, but I don't have to tell most people that because it's quite obvious.   • when you retract the landing gears, whats the difference if you pull the lever all the way down or put in the middle?

  • With the landing gear lever in the up position hydraulic pressure is being applied to the gear actuator. The middle position is the off position and removes hydraulic pressure from the actuator and holds the gear retracted with mechanical uplocks. When the gear selector is put in the down position hydraulic pressure is used to remove the uplocks and allow the gear to be extended hydraulically.

  • 80kts is a standard call to make sure none of the flight deck crew have callapsed or died...during the takeoff roll, this allows a RTO to be done safely before hitting V1

  • i think you need to learn because its not 50% till 80kts..at 50% you may reach 80kts of your lucky by the time your off the runway and into the car park, let me clarify how its done using Boeing SOP's and most airline SOP's........

    1) 40% N1 till stablized...meaning no exceeding temps and pressures and no asymmetric throttle levers.

    2) TO/GA button is pressed and N1 moves to the calculated N1 % for takeoff

    The aircraft doesn't fly the speeds set on the FMC Vnav :p

  • Shift+Num Pad 0 and . I think. IT also might be 1 and 3. I don't know, just get a joystick that has a twist function (I was unlucky enough to get one that didn't).

  • There is no FMC on the default aircraft, only in a few addons like those from PMDG.

    1.You didn't turn on the seat-belt , you just turned on the "No smoking sign"

    2.You forgot to set the autobrake into RTO(Reject take off) mode

    3.you should retract the flap according to your ND

    4.The main function of Flight Director(F/D) is not activating the autopilot but guiding the pilot to fly accroding to the FMC setting or helping the pilot to follow the guide slope during landing )
