  • no euro trash suv will give you such a great sound

  • ok thanks about that and is the car running the same way is everything going goog with it.

  • @ElvinsDenali I sold it 2 years ago, after owning it for 2 years. No mechanical issues. These were minor mods though. Nothing that's going to cause any issues by themselves.

  • @omegafiler was the tune worth the money

  • @Bajaheat Yes, it certainly was. I've tuned the last 4 out of 5 GM vehicles I've had in the past several years. Always worth it as long as you go with a custom tune from a reputable tuner. Check out the forums for your particular vehicle for more info and user feedback.

  • Hey it sounds great is their a way you can make it dual?

  • @ElvinsDenali Well, with the Yukon/Tahoe, the gas tank tends to get in the way. And as I recall, I do believe when I looked into dual exhaust back when I still had the vehicle, the rear air suspension components also got in the way. So of course you really don't want a lot of heat around that stuff. I'm sure it's technically possible, but I'd probably recommend against it.

  • worst exhaust i ever got!!!!

  • up EE.UU

  • thanx 4 the info!!!

  • she sounds like a beast... so all it is a intake, exhaust, an clip? whats that like a chip ?

  • Yep, that's it. :)

With GM vehicles, it's either going to be a PCM/ECU replacement or PC/handheld device to re-program the computer(s) via the OBDII port. In this case, it was a handheld with 3 separate custom tunes to choose from.

  • How many MPG did you pick up with your W4M economy tune?

Any drone in person with that Corsa?

  • @shoes121255

With the way I drove, not much in the way of mileage increase. You might be able to squeeze an extra 1-2 MPG with the tune if you drive it nicely. But honestly, if MPG is a concern, avoid the 6.0l in general. :)

The Corsa Sport had a slight amount of drone, which is why I went to the Corsa Touring. It had no drone.

I have exhaust clips of stock, touring, and sport for this truck.

  • Thanks for the input. I have the 5.3 and was considering a tune from blackbear performance.

  • Yukon Denalis Are sick i Have An 06 Black Denali And its insane has the 6.01 V8 engine two its Awsome

  • the new model denalis are JUNK, they are more plastic and less quality, dont believe me? drive a taken care of 2005 or 2006 then go drive a current model 2007 and up and compare.

its unbelievable GM would make a INFERIOR product like this.

i also think the exhaust is just a little too loud for my tastes on a luxury cruiser SUV, but to each his own, it sounds great!

  • Regarding the interior quality... I bought an 09 SD a few months ago and I'm afraid I have to disagree. :) It's a night and day difference. While they do still have a lot of work to do in regards to typical GM noises around the dash, they've come a long way from the GMT-800's in terms of fit, finish, and overall quality.

Also got a video of the stock exhaust of the 6.2l, if anybody is interested (check my profile).

  • @omegafiler

yes that is a sierra denali.

i am referring to the yukon denali.

    i test drove 2 2005 yukon denali's a 2007 escalade, and a 2009 tukon denali.

the 2009 denali was the worse of them all, compared to the 2005 denalis there was no contest, the fit and finish of the last gen was so much better, better materials, less plastic, and more refined. infact the 6.2 on the 2009 seem to be more sluggish and ran more rough then the used 2005 with 73k miles with the 6.0

  • The interior's for the new Yukon Denali and Sierra Denali's are virtually identical from the front seat forward. Still never heard anybody think the old trucks had better interiors though.

Stock vs stock, I also found the power with the new 6.2l to be much better vs 6.0l in my 06 YD, in particular with off-the line accelleration. Maybe the new truck wasn't broken in, had issues, or just didn't feel all that fast to you. But hey, I suppose we all gotta have opinions. :)

  • @omegafiler

Hey omega, i took the time to go drive a 2009 Tahoe LTZ, and i was IMPRESSED. it was obvious that the other denali i was in had some serious issues.

the tahoe with the 5.3 was amazing, fit and finish, ride and comfort. even the 5.3 i was imrpessed with, the gas mileage was great too.

so i retract my previous statement that the newer GMTS are junk, there are some bad apples. the 2008 esclade i drove impressed me also, just too much of a gas hog lol.

  • @omegafiler As to the 6.0 vs the 6.2 i think its the CVT tranny, it makes it feel as if the power isnt there, like when you floor it in a 6.0 gmt 800 it give you whiplash lol it just isnt there on the cvt trannys.

  • Glad you liked the new Tahoe, they really are nice trucks. The GM trucks use either the standard 4 or 6 speed tranny, no CVT for those. But that "lag" feeling is usually due to all of the "Torque Management" and "GM Nannies" that are built in. They basically pull timing during accelleration and during shifts to help protect the drivetrain. Although some of that goes away once broken in, it's still a bit ridiculous. Hence why I have a custom tune on my vehicles. :)

  • @omegafiler

perhaps the SD is better then the yukon denalis and so on, but the 2005 yukon denali destorys the 2009 yukons. i just could not believe the plastic and inferior materials used.

perhaps the SD is different and better.

if i had the cash id get the escalade.

but my personal choice was the 2005 yukon denali.

  • @omegafiler

just watched your other video of the 2009.

i say the SD you have more reminds me of a escalade in styling and quality. which i was very happy about.

but the regular yukon denali cannot compare in those terms.

  • sounds great! I bet the resonator helped it quiet down a lot.

Post some vids of your 6.2 I was reading about ;]

  • New video posted of the 6.2l V8 in the new SD, check it out in my profile.

  • Thank you for the update :)

  • great car my favorite ones are the 2004 and 2005 models

  • no muffler resinator act as it after right?

  • What? It's just a small resonator sitting after the muffler. It's right behind the axle.

  • I had a local exhaust shop do the installation.

  • What changes did you see after installing the reasonator?

  • Very minor change with the resonator. It just made it a little quieter. Otherwise the sound was about the same.

  • fuck man

  • Sounds Gurthy!

  • I checked out the website, they dont list a product for the yukon or xl denali?!

  • check it out again..i think you'll be surprised......

  • i have the corsa sport on my LQ9 6.0L sierra and the acceleration did pick up quite a bit, i've got LT's, tune, cats and the exhaust

  • I got mine installed at a local muffler shop for $125, and that included welding the tip in place (it just comes with a clamp from Corsa, but people are known to steal those tips and they're about $150 to replace, so you are better off getting it welded on there!!)

  • With the 6.0l LQ4 V8, since this is a free flowing system, it's going to free up the exhaust quite a bit. You pickup some nice high-end HP while sacrificing some low-end torque. That's typical with most exhaust systems, it's just a bit more noticable on the 6.0l.

But that's with a stock tune. Just get a custom tune and that won't be a problem! Pulls strong across the entire RPM band.

  • Found the whole Corsa Sport cat-back exhaust on ebay for $650 shipped. Installed was nothing - it bolts right in. :)

But it wouldn't be much if you had a local shop do it for you. Especially if you don't have anything to cut off the existing system.

  • Sounds really good. Love the Corsa on my truck too.

  • Damn that sounds good. Hey look, It's a GM-Trucks party in here! haha

  • yeah man thats awesome, nice quiet near stock on coast & idle, then when the throttles pressed sounds like a vette in a Yukon body very very nice.

  • Wow....that sounds amazing. I can't wait till I drop my LQ4 in my Z71.
