  • @444544451 you did the right thing. Like I was told move as fast as safely as you can. Stay 1 arms length away from your Drill Instructors at all times. Remember what they say and do isn't personal. So don't take it, I've seen guys take and they quit. Above all else DO NOT QUIT EVER. You will be amazed at how far and hard you can push yourself.

  • I dont think ill ever get tired of watching this video, gots to be the best marching video on youtube

  • wow thats my platoon i still hear that cadence in my head. that had to be the last couple days cuase we are headed to the other side.

  • They're going to the museum. Only a Marine would know ;)

  • @deathhax Well would you rather her show her appreciation or cal the Corp. a bunch of wasteless bastards?

  • @DamnablePanda and that what does that have to do with anything? im tired of military wives thinking they are at the same level as their husband

  • @deathhax

By the looks of your channel you like Lady Gaga and play video games. Just shut the fuck up nerd get a life

  • @deathhax shut the fuck up shes a marine wife she probably knows more about the corps than you

  • @crich082409 no shes just a wife, and nice assumptions, just because of what i like you assume im a type of person? i can tell you dont get out much or youre stupid

  • memories

  • Outstanding !!! God Truth.

  • Same steps I took....honor the Corps.

  • Damn. I wish I knew what I signed up for. The first time my DI farted on me I didn't know what to do. So I just stood there and ate the farts, being the bigger man. A couple years later, a few deployments and after picking up rank they expect me to do the farting. This is ridiculous. I didn't sign up to fart on scared boots.

  • I would never volunteer for guidon.

  • God, what beautiful fucking cadence.

  • third phase...their drill gives me a hardon

  • Going to the museum oorahh!

  • the camera guy freaked out. hahaa

  • nice

  • what the instructor saying?

  • @Assassin1101100 --He's calling "cadence" which is the voice command to keep the platoon in step. He is saying "Left right lo right" in his own personal inflection.

He gives them a few simple directional commands as well, column left (90 degree turn for formation progressively through ranks) ; a left flank (90 degree turn as a whole unit) and a left oblique (45 degree turn as a unit).

  • @e081194eng they are robots.

  • @78122778122778122778 theres always 1 lol

  • lol i want to be a marine but i think if i had to listen to the di saying whatever the fuck hes saying i would not be able to stop laughing

  • @InjuryDrums34 oh they would make sure u stop laughing lol

  • @InjuryDrums34 I assure you your laughter would be dealt with quickly and be turned into sobbing.

  • A platoon's drill is only as good as the cadence being called.

  • OOH RAH Hollywood Marines!

  • @SSgtGsWife

On behalf of the british army, I salute your husband with maximum respect!

  • These fools are treading softly....they need to bring the thunder....1/5 C Co. 3rd platoon...MARCH OR DIE SEMPER FI!!!!!

  • @killem1by1 As a former Marine DI I can tell you that the reason you cannot here the crack and pop is because of the footwear. These are suede boots with rubber soles. They're no longer wearing leather boots in the Corps.

  • Comment removed

  • @e081194eng Bullshit!

  • boys looked sharp until the left flank then1 recruite juss brought it down.. in my eyes anyway

  • @Spagetticat3 yeah for sure 1st squad last recriut ruined the fuck out of it other than that beautiful

  • if you press 6 it sounds like the di says die

  • Semper Fi Do or DIE!

  • Excessive arm swing much?

  • OORAH, SEMPER FI, KILL!!

  • thats badass!!

  • what country is this? if this is american then wtf is that drill guy saying?

  • @RickySouthwell Cadence. Left right.......keeping everyone in step. Throws a few other commands in there. These guys are in San Diego right next to the airport.

  • @RickySouthwell i do believe you mean english

  • @senorNutsack no i ment to say "if this is in america then wtf is tha DI saying" cus i dont understand a word that is coming out of his mouth, but it sounds kool tho lol

  • @RickySouthwell "lo head a lo right left, left-right-lo-right, left-right-left, to the half-left--harch..."

and later at 0:50 "...BY THE LEFT FLAAANNNK--HARCH--right-left-right-left..." and 1:02 "left oblique--harch".

and yes, MCRD SD boot campers said "Harch", not "March", as well as saying "Aye Aye, Sir" not "Aye Sir"

  • lol cameraman almost got hit XD

  • Fueron 11 semanas de puro infierno en MCRD San Diego California de Oct 1980 a Enero 1981 para un mexicano nacido en US. q no hablaba el idioma ingles. Cpl. Heriberto E. Valenzuela.

  • I've been here! (for my brother's graduation) Do not go on the parade deck :P hehe they will get pissed. (And no I didn't go on the parade deck, someone else did though :P)

  • @Hillaker1231

Yeah, my brother saved my life a couple times when I was visiting him for graduation haha. Hopefully It will be my turn to head there in May. Then I can be proud of that parade deck too :]

  • how did they know when to go diagnol?

  • @Bigcrazyguy1 He says "Left oblique--MARCH" Thats the command.

  • @cheezequeso

Wouldn't it actually be a column half left? Left oblique would mean every man in the unit would simultaneously turn at a 45 degree angle, not yielding the desired result.

  • @pa791taylor24 No it actually is left oblique. Listen to his voice you can hear it

  • love this

  • why the hell everytime i see these vids, i wanna run arround in an Spetsnaz uniform and run arround circles... and yell some fake russian shit... XD

(and yes i know its respectless... but wtf... )

  • why the hell everytime i see these vids, i wanna run arround in an Spetsnaz uniform and run arround circles... and yell some fake russian shit... XD

  • @Chavesshu then you would definitely get killed and nobody would give a second thought :)

  • Extensive arm swings. minus half a point ha. kidding.

  • i wouldnt want to be on the wrong side of that DI

  • thats were i went for my brothers gradutatoin in san dioego it was awesome and he was in plotun 3233

  • wowww Recruit/Roadguard at 1:06 almost walked in between the Drill Instructor and the Platoon! Damn good thing he stopped himself and went around!

  • What are the guys with the hi vis jackets doing? Why are they running around?

  • @imma18able They are road gaurds for the human bus aka platoon. Generally they are given a command such as road gaurds post for the two in the front, at the half way point the two in rear take their post and rejoin as soon as every one has passed. They usually pick speedy leen recruits for this however its more of a safety position and not so much a billet or promotional position. Thanks for the question.

  • @silverback3521 Oh, ok Thank you for explaining! :)

  • .If you are serious about enlisting into the Marine Corps make sure you read through the website that is linked on my profile page. It goes to a website for Future Marines and it is filled with plenty of honest info that you need to know before you enlist. Plus you will also see a facebook link which is filled with USMC info also and you can join this page. It is also a page for future Marines. Semper Fi.

  • Freakin Sgt. Garza i was with him in the fleet....

  • can someone tell me was if he saying? I LOVE THIS CADENCE!

  • @ositolincon at 50 "by the left flank" at 55 "by the right flank"

  • @roudy1689 ummm. do you know the definition of cadence? i dint say commands

  • @ositolincon well excuse me, way to come off like a jerk, left -right -left is what he's saying. but no doubt you knew that.

  • @ositolincon most of it is left right left but he says column half left march toward the beginning then by the left flank march then by the right flank march then a left oblique march and a forward march with left and right between all those commands

  • Talk about memories...one thing I will never forget is how our drill instructors called cadence. D.I.s can call cadence like no else can! Also remember how cool drill looked/sounded when we finally came together and learned how to do it properly! Nothing in the world like it!!!

  • anyone going to mcrd san diego Nov. 1? thats wen i go. Hit me up if anyone is.

  • Good luck dont get down! remember the drill instructors are human lol. they are there to tear you down! and they will. mentally and physically gl remember your the future of he marine corps ! semper fi

  • @VirkDS thank you. Semper fi

  • @JuLew3105

You might not be given the chance. I think you get the idea.

    @444544451

Depends, but the Marines generally don't make as much as other branches. If you're considering it for the financial gain, join another branch. You probably won't get a sign on bonus in the Marines.

  • @Jent

Pay is the same across the board depending on rank and time in service.

No branch makes more than any other.

Haz pay, combat pay etc notwithstanding.

  • Thank you Marines for all you do, Semper Fi

  • Cool i didnt know that. thanks for the reply.

  • I would join the Marines to kill the terrorists and Taliban.

Not join just to march around a Wal Mart parking lot and nearly get run over by a car.

That car nearly ran over the entire platoon.

And the driver knows it too!

  • @planetcheck well first of all that isnt a walmart parkig lot second there is a point to this drill actualy many points. go read more about drill and then ask why is it important again

  • @planetcheck

    Whatever you do, don't join.

If you can't understand the importance of drill then go home!

    IDIOT!

  • How do you understand what he is saying?

  • @azanzam You are required to learn as much as you could, including drills, during your time as a POOLEE. Basically, you're recruiter/recruiters are in charge of teaching you that.

  • @azanzam you just know what he is going to say so you just conect the dots because there are only so many commands he can give

  • @azanzam You listen to him 16 hours a day.

  • That Drill instructor looks intimidating as hell. At one point you can see the veins in his necks bulge

  • @co1lateral

He's really not that bad ~ Well I mean with his wife he is a sweetheart, But he kills the Recruits!!

  • What if you have to go use the restroom?

  • how muc u get paid after bootcamp?

  • Comment removed

  • @444544451 after taxes its close to 3 thousand

  • @444544451 Don't join if you're in it for the money.

  • @444544451 You'll be leaving with about $1,200

  • Atriedis.....yeah bunch of nastys....still good...i know my platoon won initial and final drill...

  • B E A utiful!

  • What in the hell is that guy saying.. I know left right yada yada.. but he yell mumbles. if that makes any sense.

  • Comment removed

  • @Hydro022 no mumbles, first command "road guards post" second is "column half left, march" third is "by the left flank, march" fourth is "by the right flank, march". fifth is "left oblique, march" sixth is "forward, march" every moving command is preceded with a preparatory command followed by an command to execute. you just need to know the terminology to understand what he's saying. he's actually very clear and precise about what he's saying. very important to close order drill.

  • @marineaviator2011 Dont forget supplementary ommands.

  • @Hydro022

well the drill instructor is calling cadence "left right left right" then he gives the "column half right" command and the platoon executes. Then he gives "by the left flank" followed by "by the right flank" next "left oblique" and finally "forward march"

  • beautfiul drill....

  • @emerson133919 I would actually bet that that platoon was one of the drill nasty's in the company just from some of the stuff they do like anticipating the command and their alignment but idk it's been some time since i was at boot camp maybe it looks different from outside the platoon lol

  • How do you understand him?

  • ROADGUARDS,"GET OUT!!!"

  • i remember this drill sgt.. i worked on the base every morning id hear him....

  • @IRONMAIDENFAN2006 drill instructor

  • what the fuck la la la la la how can they understand him?

  • ROADGUARDS

    "POST"

If you can't understand what the Drill Instructor is saying then that means you are not a Marine

  • They are going to the museum.

  • @slayer5378 Nah, they're Marines. During Marine week they stay in barracks on the Marine side.

  • "Drivin the bus" Looks like they are getting fitted for Alphas and Charlies or hittin the PX, maybe the bank to set up tickets for the usual ten day leave to Combat training. I was Dep'd in 96 and dropped my pack in 04 so its been a long time seen ive seen the "prison" OOOOOOOhhhhhhhhhhRRRaaaaaHHHHH Devil Dogs !!!

  • My squad bay in the background. 3rd deck L Co Plt 3251 May 21, 2010

  • looks like they're on the way to make phone calls. Sweeeeet !!!

  • the one place grown men can learn to cross a road with other men who want to learn to cross roads together and then shower. woot marines

  • Man I miss devil pups so much right now

  • @chevyracer4 Die scum.

  • @Catchaspoon What did I do? When I went to Devil Pups, we were right there.

  • wat da hell is the D.I. saying?!?!?!?! jesus christ aleast make ure self understandable!!

  • @jossanti314 ..Must you make yourself look silly with your comments? If you were a recruit, you would understand what he is saying. The Drill Instructor is not calling cadences for your silly butt, he's calling them for his platoon of USMC recruits.

    I understand him perfectly fine.

  • @jossanti314

The 60+ recruits understood the Drill Instructor just fine judging by those flank and oblique movements.

  • @jossanti314 Someone here isn't a Marine.

  • Not to sound gay (LOL) but every time i use that soap 'Dial', it fucking reminds me of bootcamp.

  • @buddacafe

That and every time I see a can of Never Dull

  • i remember being there in Devil Pups

  • lOW RIGHT LOW. BY THE RIGHT FLANK... arch by the left flank, arch !!!! Low right LOW right ...left flank arch.....

  • can anyone tell me what the drill sergeant was shouting?

  • @iosononapoletanovero "Left Right low right left!" Or do you mean the drill moves? at 0:50 hes saying "by the left flank" then "by the right flank". He says "left oblique" when u see the recruits doing a small angle turn.

  • @iFaeZwuNi thanks man. thats all i needed!

  • @iosononapoletanovero He was shouting orders to drive his platoon or also called driving the bus.... He was saying left right left, by the left flank march and by the right flank march with a quick oblique that last part is to fine tune the direction. Its a language you learn in boot camp. I could turn up the sound and march in my living room just fine to what I heard

  • @74rayzyr

Bull shit, make a video of this.

  • can anyone tell me what the drill sergeant was shouting?

  • @iosononapoletanovero Never call a Marine Drill Instructor "DI, or Drill Sargeant..." You would most definitely get BLASTED!

  • i went back to MCRD last july holy shit talk about chills hearing the DIs, and then when the drill master is talking to the parents teaching the about ears open eyes click that sent chills up my spine!!! but you gotta love the cadence hearing it never gets old. SEMPER GUMBY!!!

  • What are the guys in orange doing?

  • @thescariestbear What does it look like they're doing? They're blocking oncoming traffic, everytime they march pass any intersection and such, they have designated roadguards, and have them wear, reflective belts or vest, there's always 2 on the front end and 2 on the back end of the formation

  • they are road guards, in the begging of the video you can hear the drill instructor call for the road guards they run out and stop the cars from coming so the platoon doesnt have to wait for cars.

  • traffic duty

  • the DI is awesome!

  • I LOVE THE SOUND OF THE VOICE

  • goddamn memories, i can almost smell the barracks.

  • DI is ill. Steering that platoon like a bus!

  • i cant wait til i hear a female di ....going soon OOORAH

  • This guy sounds like he's been sniffing glue. What is going on here?

  • Road Guards out, Left Right Low Right, By the left flank. By the right flank. etc... You pick it up

  • Are they going to Duncan chow hall? or the Museum

  • I'm leaving sunday night and will fly to MCRD San Diego on monday

  • whatever faggot!
