  • These are Yugoslovenian, Croatian to be precise, subs...

  • does anyone knows where to find that in greek subs?

  • The best scene by the films best actor.

  • name of the piano song pleaseee

  • He has amazing, epic voice!!! wow!!!

  • ovaj lik sto mu lomi noge je Srbin :) thet gay thet breaking lag to this motherfucker is a Serbian ... Pozdrav braci Rusima

  • @KOSMET47AK brate napisao si gay kao peder,a ne guy kao momak :DD

  • @weifertzakon ma brate jbg a i boli me kurac bitno je da im jebemo mamu svima :)

  • @KOSMET47AK ahhaahah i to sto kazes :D

  • This scene is my favourite. Until this point, I thought Johnny was some dumb crackhead. I mean, I knew he was funny so I didn't hate him, but this scene absolutely made me infatuated with his character. He's so brilliant.

Then there's Lenny and Yuri's scene, which fits *perfectly* alongside Johnny's Virginia Killing Sticks speach.

Oh, you are somethin' special, Mr. Johnny Quid.

  • one of my all time favorite movies

  • that that starts sweet ends bitter, and that whih starts bitter ends sweet...

  • @AngelOfMercy91 i love that line

  • ...You are something special Johnny Quid

  • the scouser in this film is shite. propa phoney accent

  • six walls. just sayin.

  • @bobofloblaws

a house has four walls, you don't count the floor and ceiling as walls do you?

  • @DrDubTrick A pack of cigarettes is not a house. It's a box with six sides.

  • @bobofloblaws He is refering to four walls of the package. Walls are vertical, so you can't count the bottem and the top. Therefore there are four walls and not six.

  • @MrRobbie166 Yes walls are vertical. The orientation of the walls on a pack is not fixed so they are all walls. Why does anyone give a shit anyway? It was just an offhand comment.

  • @Jackalofdeath your a faggot.

  • ...... and that is why we love Jhonny Quidd

  • Hmm... i think the german synchro fits better :o

  • iS Lenny Cole suppose to be jewish??

  • who actually wrote that

  • It seems clear that the monologue is, literally, referring to the way that smoking is, in a way, a wolf in sheep's clothing, that draws us in, and kills us. We know it's dangerous, yet still we smoke for the luxury. The same for drugs. The same for power...and the same for that painting. The scene before this stated that "there's bad people on the streets after the painting" - yet Johnny still has it...he loves the painting's luxury, despite its potentially dangerous consequences. I think. :)

  • He's brilliant in Dead Man's Shoes.

  • the movie itself was rubbish but this one scene is capturingly epic and it makes me want to quit smoking

  • "Oh, beauty is a beguiling call to death and I'm addicted to the sweet pitch of its siren."

    ...Le sigh!!

  • this is one of the best monolouges ever...

  • best line: "That that starts sweet ends bitter, and that which starts bitter ends sweet"

  • Capatalism is based on lies like that packet of cigs but yet we accept becuase it is there and we enjoy what comes from it ie.. material goods and wealth

  • I just love English gangster movies, just like snatch, and danny the dog and ofc this one!

  • @Hrko1992 I totally agree but I still son't get why won't he give up the painting?

  • Brilliant, and true

  • I wonder what pianosong he plays, sounds pretty damn good

  • could someone please tell what is that song his playing ??? thanks :D

  • whats that he's song he's playing ??? please could someone tel me!! thanks :D

  • I'm wondering how the two scenes connect, obviously there is supposed to be a connection, but in one scene there's dishonesty and punishment, and in Johnny's scene it's just an explanation of why life sucks.

  • @KidxMidKnight just connect the dots jesus christ it cant be that hard to understand why the russians position is as johnnys....

  • @Hrko1992 The russian just wants his painting back, he's not making a nice little speech like Johnny is. The only similarity is the painting.

  • @KidxMidKnight If you look with your eyes.

  • @KidxMidKnight Have you payed attention to that film, at all?

Johnny has the painting, at that moment in time.. He stole it from Lennie. He's explaining why he can't give that painting back, Eure doesn't know who has it.

    Gah. >_<

  • @SavageHardstyle I know that...what i don't know is why the fuck you're telling me this

  • @KidxMidKnight The connection is that here we witness the downfall of a man who has chosen to live the flashy and dangerous lifestyle which Johnny describes, over the bland and boring one. Lenny's reign as a crimelord that started so sweet is now ending bitterly. He chose to smoke and it's now killing him.

I don't know why somebody is saying that the Russian and Johnny are in the same position when there is no connection whatsoever.

  • @IamKinneas

I think I'm going to kick myself senseless when I find out, but I can't connect this to the painting at all. I already knew how this has to do with Lenny, but not the painting.

  • @GIRfan4 "that is why we love the drugs and is also why i cannot give this painting back" when talking about what starts sweet and ends bitter hes obviously talking about herion but when talking about what "starts bitter" (his bitter relationship with his father i.e. Lenny from the beginning) "ends sweet" ( In the end, Lenny getting his legs smashed because he doesnt have the painting, Johnny does) is my take on this scene. hope that makes sense

  • Johnny Quid is Liam Gallagher

  • So, we will embrace the lie, and not the truth, because the truth is ugly and the lie is beautiful?

Can someone please help me understand?

  • @OverHedge99 you cant understand until you've atleast smoked cigarettes or weed. Basicly experience what addiction is and got out of it, mental(herb) or physical(ciggies)...

  • @Hrko1992 I smoke, and yet I'm still confused. I don't smoke for any deep philosophical reason than the fact that it makes me feel good.

  • @OverHedge99 Then you're like most people. Most people smoke because of the feeling and the reduction of stress, those might(maybe) create an addiction to it later in life, but some smoke because it makes them think about life in a different way, it makes them more creative, it makes them modest, it makes me honest, it makes me normal. All depends on the person, just like acohol, some will become alcoholics other just easier to talk to and more open with people. It's like rolling the dice.

  • @Hrko1992 I totally agree but why can't he give back the painting ?

  • @Hrko1992 I totally agree but I still son't get why won't he give up the painting?

  • @Hrko1992 He's using cigarettes as a similie for crack and the risky circumstances of keeping the painting. It is evidently bad for one's health but this is inconsequential to him. "Beauty is a beguiling call to death..." Johnny's un-asceticism manifests itself in his disreguard for consequence.

  • @OverHedge99 its like sigrets we dont like to see that they actualy kill us the ugly truth because of the great feeling they give the people that smoke the lie so we ignore the truth and live with the lie

  • amazing

  • Is there a name of the song that Johnny Quid is playing on the piano ???

  • @JokkeHimSelf

Schumann- Scenes from Childhood , should be,,

  • Oh you are something special, Mr. Johnny Quid XD

  • now, please pass me a light....1 of the bestt movies ive seen in a long time..Guy Ritchie knocked this 1 out of the park, but i wasnt expecting anything less..."you like dags?" hahaha

  • @scarface3131983 lol XD YA LAJK DAGS? dags? YA DAGS? oooh you mean dogs. Yea i like dags, but i like caravans better. xD :P

  • Look at my videos for a tutorial to this melody, its not completely right but its close.

  • I think you forget who your talking to...

    Haha. How much I laughed.

  • Hes saying that not everything appears as what it is, something you might not consider special can turn out to make you really happy and that not everything regal or you suppose would make you happy really does in the end. This is why hes addicted to drugs cause it starts sweet but in the end is turning him into a drugee and also why he chooses to keep the painting cause its just a simple lucky painting but he belives it will bring him what he wants, and in the end it does.

  • ...and that is why I can not give that painting back...

(so that he gets his...) Love It!

  • It's not the truth about life.

It's the truth and reasoning for addiction.

I love how when someone says something profound people assume it's strictly about life's meaning.

  • think about these words tho That starts sweet ends bitter, and that which starts bitter ends sweet. sum people like to have fun wen their young an not study an not have a good job wn they get older hence starts sweet ends bitter but then some people work hard save money till they get oler then have the fun hence that which starts bitter ends sweet.

  • maybe sometimes bitter stays bitter

  • @Mugen123456789 that can be debated it can be sometimes the truth about life its not always the truth(smokers, etc)thats really thinkin in the box there how do you now it can,t be true for some people who posted a comment
