Here we focus onto the musical interpretation of the melody than onto the question of who composed it. I heard the same melody played by other musicians and I must really say that the great artist Klaus Wunderlich interpreted it best! He hit the nail onto its head... in every regard!
A masterful organ performance and I agree one of the best interpretations. But the percussion seems intrusive given its minor role. Can't decide -- is Walter Scholz' version with its powerful trumpets (in the style of Herb Alpert) better by a tiny margin?
Life is full of such great music, and it's a joy to come across so much of it here on YT.
@Chumleybean Well, I still think the percussion pointedly hits the nail on its head, because KW had such a great feel for choosing the correct timbres... He really knew how to incorporate "soul" to otherwise dead sounding electronic music! He made the organ "show feelings"!! :)
KW know how to interpret any melody, be it German, Italian, Russian, Brazilian etc., melody musically effective, because he is a talented musician. That's what divides musicians from talented musicians...
The only way to learn to play the organ is to follow Klaus Wunderlich's masterly examples... Anything else is just less! Don't even try, because you can't beat the great man!

This song isn't a German one, it's Brazilian composed by Herivelto Martins, never forget it.
