  • lovely car, i had the same one, unfotunately i had to send her to the boneyard, check out my video at abstract art by heidi.

  • i want my 96 z26 to sound like that!

  • @210gnx Use 40 series Flow master

  • Beautiful car. I love Berettas.

  • an'89 beretta

  • i had an'bm berettawith flowmastersit would always set off my neighbors car alarms, transmission went and the car finally died....

  • car sounds good, the gm 3.1 v6 still surprises me lol. did u get more fuel mileage by adding the exhaust? im getting ready to buy a corsica or some other midsized car with a 3100 engine and i want to get as much mileage out of it as i can without breaking the bank. suggestions are welcome cause i dont know anything about this engine, all i know is it is a damn good strong running engine.

  • @greatwhitejake

I averaged 29.5 on the highway doing 75 - 80 on a trip from Columbus in mine. That was with NGK platinum plugs, Taylor 8.2mm wires, MSD coil-packs, a homemade intake, synthetic motor oil, and the forementioned exhaust. And this was at about 160k on the clock. My advice? Run a good set of plugs and wires, a good intake / exhaust setup, and run synthetic.

  • I MISS my grey '96, She was an awesome car and damn sexy! but FUCK THOSE LIMGs!

  • jsw-4457

  • Such a nice sound!

  • very nice car. i have seen my friends beretta dust some gran prixs nice cars

  • Just got me a 96 z26 Beretta, any one know the best place to buy after market parts for it?

  • @210texas210pimp

MRZ Performance, Milzy Motorsports, and WOT-TECH.

  • @MurphSexy86 I have a 2000 Malibu. Any of those good for me ?

  • @midgetmayo

A Super 44 would sound good for sure on the same model, either that or a Magnaflow.

  • @MurphSexy86 I meant of the places for aftermarket parts.. But I'll keep the Super 44 in mind.. Few people have recomended that now.

  • @MurphSexy86 How loud is the Super 44 and how is it for raspy-ness ?

  • @MurphSexy86 Do you happen to know what the part on the top of the word "Beretta" is called? That shiny part over the trunk.

  • @Southpark124

Yep, that is classified as the filler panel!

  • @MurphSexy86 Thank you. Anywhere I can get one new/used? It's impossible to find a Beretta in my local junk yards.

And do you happen to know what could make a speedometer stop working? I replaced the entire display but the speedometer is still not working. 87' Base Beretta.

  • Unfortunately the wings are discontinued, you might get lucky and find them on eBay at some point however. They're called "Solar Wings" if this helps any!

  • can you tell me where you got the rear window wing ?i own a beretta and want one like that but cant seem to find one anywhere

  • God I love berettas, they sound soooo sick.

  • cool!! reminds me of almost exactly the mods I had on my 1996 Z26 engine, right down to the weapon-r tube, msd coils/wires, 2.5" exhaust, relocated battery to the trunk, 60mm t.body. Knocked like 1.5 sec. off stock. Never installed the UDP's because the engine croaked last week. Know anyone who wants to buy a z26 near chicago that only needs an engine to be badass??

  • Sounds good. damn lil 3100's are nice haha!

  • whats the inlet size of the exhaust im planing on geting a super 44 for my 95 z26

  • @guitar1094

I ran full 2.5" piping when I had the exhaust done. The muffler you want is the same one that's in my video too. Do yourself a favor and if you have a shop put it on, have them remove the resonator too. You'll get better sound out of it.

  • @MurphSexy86

is the resonator removed in this video?

do you know how to remove the resonator cause i plan on doing the exhaust myself

  • I miss my 96 :-(

  • @elmcityslim I've got a modded 1996 Z26 in near mint condition that needs an engine, but other than that, the car is super. Near Chicago is me...

  • sounds nice and looks nice but berettas have no balls the only thing there good for is snow drifting

  • @RamRodRacer

yea, they're not the fastest compared to today's standards, but during their era they were pretty quick little cars. eventually i'll get a video posted from my cammed 3400 swap.

  • @MurphSexy86 i would like to see that you should also supercharge it

  • @RamRodRacer

I'd like to in the future, it's just fairly uncommon to find the supercharger kits for these motors. It's a future plan though.

  • @MurphSexy86 i used to have a 96 z26 and now i wish i wouldn't have sold it.... you could even try to swap out the 3100 for a supercharged 3.8 from a grand prix or something like that.

  • @utfan26 Want to buy my 1996 Z26 with 95,468 miles?? The stock 3100 broke a camshaft last week. I need four doors for my kids, so spending $1800 popping in either a 3100 or 3400 is too costly and impractical for me at this point. The car has been babied and extremely well taken care of, sans the busted engine... lol...

  • @project1996z26 I'd just drop in a 3800 the same year of ur car cuz the 3800 will bolt right up to the 3100 trans so all u got to do is change the computer and the motor thats it i was going to but i wound up selling mine

  • @RamRodRacer

They are definately good for snow drifting! The car does have some balls now though, I did a cammed 3400 swap on it over the summer. Still no video up yet however.

  • @MurphSexy86 Nice hair.

  • @SoInformative

    Haha, thanks?

  • @RamRodRacer Hater

  • @garzythr yes i am but im allowed to hate cause i owned one. but they'll always have have a place in my heart cause it was my first car

  • what would sound equivalent to this for a small 4 cylinder

  • @rgrafton

just go with a magnaflow or a dynomax since you have the four cylinder, otherwise it'll sound rather awful. with the four's you don't want a lot of noise just a good tone.

  • I have a beretta black and listens well and has no flow master

  • good

  • man that thing sounds nasty tho

  • hey murph, does your car rev limit at like 3 grand? mine does when in park. but when i have it in low gear(auto) i can get 80 miles an hour out of second reving around 5k

  • Not a fan of chevy....but i do admire the style of the Berreta. if done right they are nice cruisers. Nice car man...

  • JJ, I picked up the clear side markers off of a forum member on bstuff.com, but you can also pick these up on Ebay. As for color choices, it's hard to say, it really depends on the interior color and what all else is done to the car. And Mario, the coil packs ran me about $40 apiece.

Since this video I have installed a cammed 3400 that's bored .040 over, with numerous modifications. When I can get the chance to get my hands on a better video camera, I'll be sure to get a video posted.

  • Yess, i'll use Flowmaster Muffler on my Sunbird GT, once I swap my 3.8 Supercharged, I have a Dual Muffler System stock, so i'll run my 3inch Exhaust system and put 2 Flowmaster 40 Serie's on each side with 2 Chrome 45° Angle Tip's ! Shall be good ! Keep your Beretta Clean they are rarer !

  • sounds pretty good

  • berettas are the true definition of MUSCLE CAR I know they never came with a V8 but they are fast fun and Cheap cars

  • @khammett12 nah more like grand prix is

  • Like the car sounds good. there's a white gtz in my neighborhood that just sits there i want it so f'ing bad..

  • sounds great and looks great!

  • nice retta men what is the price of the coil packs?

  • Nice looking Beretta. I am also a chevy beretta owner and I really like the clear rear bumper side markers. were did you get them? I have a 92 beretta gt that i am converting into a gtz. I have it all ready I just want to add little deatil to make the car look better. What color would you recommend for a paint? I want a color that will fit the berretta personality. That Beretta is a headturner I bet.

  • Damn... I always thought these cars were crap but you proved me wrong

  • @TheKoreanX nope they are still crap.

  • Not this one, I'm going to have to say

  • @neolexington Don't stick your foot too far into your mouth, my good friend. Unless you have actually seen every one of these cars in person and have personally experienced riding in every one of them, and can therefore conclude that they are all crap with significant evidence, all you are doing otherwise is barking up the wrong tree.

  • @MurphSexy86 I owned a 1995, and they are still slow ass shitty cars.

  • @neolexington You probably had the four cylinder and decided they are crap. Test drive a Beretta with the quad four DOHC16 valve then make your decision if beretta is crap. Hint when first beretta GTZ was realeased it was on top with the BMW. BMW actually had competition.

  • I don't care what anyone says Beretta's are sexy fucking cars, something about that rear end - and yours isn't an exception my aunt had a black one loved riding in it.

  • @08IS350 I had one. 89 GT with an Eibach kit, 17's and a new paint job with new window tint, alot of motor work for the 2.8L v6. I had it stroked with tuned ECU, ect...... and I got Tboned at 55 MPH by a ford Windstar day after I graduated. Body kit was still on the garage floor.....I miss it. They have alot of potential.

  • man, that's an Awesome Beretta!, and sounds awesome too. - Bravo Zulu!!!!!.

  • Sounds like a small v8

  • i have a 88 beretta 2.8 with a flo pro exhuast that sounds just the same and cost a hell of a lot cheaper good goin bud

  • @420witchdoctor Thats what I was thinking, I'd have the most bad ass Beretta ever!

  • nice sound though!

  • I want to get one and do the unthinkable, put an LS9 corvette ZR1 v8 in it!

  • I WANT ONE!!!!

  • very bad ass!!! good job man

  • i wish my beretta looked like that

  • that beretta has come along way dude.. sick!

  • DUDE SICK CAR!!!

cleanest beretta i've seen so far

  • sounds great man

  • I like this sound slightly better than the other muffler. I'm looking for something like this for a 99 century.

  • On a Z34 it may not sound bad, but personally I would run a Magnaflow on one of those! And yes, the visor on the rear window is called a Solarwing, they have been discontinued but some are still floating around the web.

  • What's that visor on ur rear window I wanna get one for my 89 gt

  • headers will clean that up a lot.. :P

  • Typical GM V6, sounds great below 3500 rpm's, but up top it is rasptastic!

  • Dayum Bro That Sounds Sick! Do you think if i ran this same set-up with my Lumina Z34 it would sound similar?
