  • ok but thesoundbender12 knex rc car is way better check it out

  • @knexcreators well I did what you told me to, no doubt his is a very nice creation. However, it's like comparing apples and oranges because mine was built so I could steer it and as far as I can his goes in a straight line (albeit over bumpy terrain). It would be sweet if he implements steering, it's hard enough with k'nex for a car that goes along flat ground.

  • @unigamer true but i think that you saw the wrong rc car i was talking about his other one you no the one that looks kinda like a blazer or somthin that one does have steering dont get me wrong i love yours his just has a body that all but your is still preety kick ass

  • funny thing is it would take like 5 hours to get to someone but like the idea

  • RC-XD inbound

  • R/C need Weapons for attack a human LOL

  • knex from xbox 360 :D

  • For the titel name it k'nex RC car

  • @NEOCUBEST you're the boss!

  • Thanks for your inspiration! Saw your comments on Ackermann steering on your other site. I'm pretty new to these things so forgive me for asking, but does this completely take away the need for a differential? I'm building a RC K'nex car myself, and could really need some improvement in this area.

  • hi sorry I actually typed out a nice long reply to your question and have only just realised it never posted! I was incorrect with what I said on the website. Basically a differential is needed because wheels turning with different radiis turn at different speeds. Differential stops them from skidding. Because this thing moved so slowly a differential is not needed.

  • sweet, dose it have seperate axel stering

  • its good but i need to see radio

  • ahh just what i needed to plow my garden

  • I made an RC jet car :) go to instructables to find it! :)

  • the mecanism is super good but the design of the vehicule is a little weird but 5/5 anyway

    good job

    come see my vids please

  • I need u to do 2 thing please post a video showing me how you made the turning mechanism on that car (the front wheels) and a link showing where you got those remote control motors.

  • Im still trying to figure out what you have

    made but it rules dude

  • dude that rules

    i have a r/c knex dragster

  • fit brushless 3.5 turns yeeha

  • Hahahaha, novak crap.

  • i wanna rc car or copter, but u gota put in a crazy motor and remote in there. ot the lil knex electric motor

  • have u made that of a tamiya land cruiser no.8

    ?????

  • No, it's made from a Tamiya Cheetah. :)

  • i think i can make to

  • Omg the idea of making a k'nex rc car kept me up last night; it'd be so much fun. If it happens I'll post it.

  • porcariaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa é uma bosta d carro!!!!

  • interesting... how exatly did you work out the steering on this?

  • man its got drag racing wheels! look at it fly

  • i dont know what everyone else is talking about but this is probably the BEST thing i have ever ever seen! WEEEEEEEEE! look at it go!

  • someone should kick that thing. It would be much faster and mildly comical.

  • pile of crap

  • It is, yes.

  • My RC K'NEX Walker is faster. lol!

  • i saw this 2 weeks ago and built a better way faster one. i will have a video up in 20 mins i hope i can just upload in from the camera.

it goes about 15 to 20 mph and can to a burn out forever. but it is only only on flat sufaces it has less than 1/4 inch of clearance

  • click my name it is the only video i have

  • wow its slow

  • niezły samochodzik !!!

  • ur car is retarted

  • like u could do beter OWNED!!!

  • nerd

  • give the car dyganaty..make it look like a car

---get better motor---higher span--- than u can waste my time...deal?

  • That knex rc model you have there is a very neat idea, my car could do with an rc implant too, lol.

I'm just wondering, did you add all the rc bits by just stripped it off an existing rc car, or did you buy the rc parts seperately, or did you make the rc components themselves?

I'd be interested to know, because I'm thinking of just buying a cheap rc car worth no more than $10 and stripping that off and making a knex model around that.

  • oh wait lol, nvm, i just checked ur video description! XD

  • Cheap R/C cars probably wouldn't work because the steering is not done by a servo. :) Glad to see you found the site ;)

Good luck with your model and I'd love to see it.

  • i did something like this but i took a rc car chassis with a busted front and put knex in place of it. i made it robotic in the front so it is like a crane. i got rid of most of my k'nex a long time ago.

  • Nice Car! Have you seen my radio controlled tank?

  • Sorry for not replying, was that the one on Instructables? If so, yes, I am tempted to attempt one. If not, then I am about to look at your videos so I'll have a peep at it.

  • Hey, I'm trying to build a rc knex car, I already have a body made I just need a motor, weels/axes, gears, and a controller. Do you know were to find one? I'm trying to make my rc to go really fast^_^"

  • Well if you want speed forget K'nex branded motors. I don't know where you live so I'll guess America. Towerhobbies have just about every R/C component you could ever need so check them out. If you live elsewhere a Google search should reveal all. If not, post again! Good luck with your project! :D

  • I recommend a pole which connects under the wheels, but does not touch the floor. In a car I once built, I managed to correct that curvature. It is possible, but may require so modifications in the stirring system. Its a challange.

  • It will be more than a modification now, I just dismantled the car! I tried something similar to what you suggested but my pieces and/or ingenuity weren't capable.

  • buddy, ur front wheels can't take the weight of the car and are curved outwards. Mechanical flaw.

  • You are absolutely correct. The trouble was that I could not find K'nex parts that combined together to make it work. The toy cars you buy can be machined to precise measurements. Still, if anyone does come up with a good solution I would be as happy as the next person to see it!

  • Thanks! :)

If you do, please post a link here because I'd love to see it!

  • alrite thn

  • cool yeah it aint that slow but i surrppose it does have have alot of weight and knex on it anyway good work mate i might try it my self

  • i was gonna do tht u beat me lol nice idea did your just take apart the toy car and make the rest of the car out of knex and install the remote sensor into the toy car?

  • dont u think its a lil slow

  • yeah i surppose but you could get one of the fast little cars and use that

  • The motor is from a "K'nex Extreme" model or something. The other parts are not from a cheap Walmart type car which means it is easier to setup.

Is it too slow? If it looks slow on the video it is even slower in real life! It wasn't built for speed. If you read my web-page about it you will see I made it just for a bit of fun. For the sake of doing it.

I have a fast modern car if speed is what I want.
