  • Show sucked in season 8 after he left.

  • Pick a first name.

  • Oh... that's why the last 2 seasons were less funny. Great insider

  • Seasons 7 and 8 was the best

  • I am HUGE Sienfeld fan. I cannot count the number of times I have watched the show but honestly, up until this moment I did NOT notice that Larry left 2 seasons before the show ended its run. To me, its not to say Larry didn't make any difference, but he left such a strong legacy that even after left, people could do almost as good. Talk about inspiration. Last 2 seasons weren't 'crap' or can be skipped. They're quite as brilliant as others.. let's face it. Jerry Sienfeld did a very good job!

  • The show was crap after Larry left. Jerry did what he could, but without Larry, Seinfeld wasnt Seinfeld.

  • Jerry did a great job in the last two seasons, but there's no doubt that the show wasn't quite a same: the storylines just felt a bit too nutty and even a bit conventional at times (Larry's off-beat touch was dearly missed). Nevertheless, it was still the best thing on TV all the way until the end.

  • Haha I created that thing!!!!

  • @taillebasse1 uh thats actually not true. larry david is way funnier but jerry seinfeld is FAR more well known than larry david. you can't even argue that

  • Why did he even leave seinfled?

  • Comment removed

  • seinfled jumped the shark after larry left

  • @taillebasse1 Yeah he is so famous that you don't even know his name. LOL

  • 5:30 - 6:15 : SUCH a george moment

  • @mguyoteful Weel, he IS George XD

  • I don't really understand. I thought Larry David's last season was season 9...

  • @pants7 He worked full time on the show until the end of Season 7. He did come back to write the last episode of the show, but that's about it.

  • Have the boxed set, the last two seasons always gets skipped and I go back to square one, one man's opinion.

  • "how could you left that show to sit here by yourself writing this... ... what are you nuts?" haha love the honesty.,.. truely genius guy.

  • The greater the eccentricities the greater the genius, case in point.

  • I love the show Seinfeld.

  • what he says right at the end reminds me of drama on entourage when hes fired trying to get back in the studio and hes on a huge billboard

  • there's nothing greater in life...than two people finding each other funny....

  • Larry David, respector of wood.

  • @Slikrik1212 hard not to love a great man who respects wood

  • Larry seems like such a cool down-to-earth guy that you'd want to hang with. What I like about him is that he hasn't let fame turn him into a pompous a-hole or anything.

  • pretty, pretty, pretty good

  • I think any fairminded person who has seen Curb Your Enthusiasm must admit Larry David was the true talent and genius behind Seinfeld, moreso than Jerry himself. In fact, after he left the series, it became less edgy, less offbeat. The quality of the writing declined. It was "mainstreamed" which to me made it less artistic and creative. By definition mainstreaming something generally destroys its edge. The show should have been called Larry David rather than Seinfeld. Jerry gets too much credit.

  • @EdwardJellico I disagree, you can't think that Larry David would have made "Curb" if he never met Jerry Seinfeld, curb is just Larry doing Seinfeld again, not that it isn't great, but he's just doing the same thing over that he already knows works

  • @thedexterbros Curb stresses a lot more social awkwardness and tension than Seinfeld did. Seinfeld was of course about Jerry. Curb is about Larry.

  • Whos Andy Robin! He must be the real genius behind Seinfeld! All of this praise of LD when AR was the real genius!

  • I think Curb is what Larry originally wanted for Seinfeld. They are so similar in so many ways, only Seinfeld has Jerry's mainstream appeal while Curb is more extreme and offbeat. If you watch the special features on the Seinfeld DVDs the pilot was originally going to b a special where they would follow Jerry around through his meaningless life and along the way he would perform stand up. Essentially what the CYE special became. LD is a genius and has created two of the funniest shows ever.

  • Truth is Seinfeld was weighing heavy on the curtails of Larry.

  • I think LD has a major case of 'the grass is greener on the other side.' Don't get me wrong I love Seinfeld and Curb. Genius Writer.

  • Larry David is an absolute comedic genius. The world is a funnier place with him in it.

  • I can't possibly imagine that fans of LD would not like this Elvis video starring Jerry Rio. Jerry is not Larry David and the only reason I posted this is Jerry (RIO) is sarcastic, cynical, and asks some very funny questions. He also deals in reality like LD. Hope you enjoy. Let us know what you think.

  • wow michael richards was really tan in this

  • Thank God Larry did Curb. I always liked Seinfield, but Curb is more of my type of show.

  • Pretty,pretty,pretty,pretty,pretty,GOOD!

  • Got to love the drake... I mean Larry

  • I'm so glad he drop Seinfeld so we could just get him and his beautiful show Curb. I like that he did atleast do his version of a "real" Seinfeld finale.

  • i love larry david!!

  • wonders if LD was involved in any way with Borat or Bruno, which were directed by none other than Larry Charles.

  • last few seasons of Seinfeld basically sucked. Besides that, one of the best shows ever. CURB kicks its ass, though.

  • @TadRapidly the last few seasons did not suck in any way. you obviously aren't a huge seinfeld fan and that's fine but don't bring that crap here the last two seasons are crazy funny

  • @SamusAbe sorry but my disappointment about the last seasons is BECAUSE I was a huge fan. many would agree with me. Larry David made the difference. IMO.

  • its all good.

  • Seinfield since stand up......

  • LD: comedic legend and a great actor who respects wood, like me.

  • @SilverBars42 the cast were almost as good as the writers though.

  • I loved LDs episodes better as a whole, but no way did Seinfeld suck the last 2 years. There were plenty of great episodes.

  • Larry David:

    great writer

    great actor

    respects wood

  • @KennethKaniffFromCT REVERES WOOD! hahaha

  • @fartass23 HAHAHAHAHA 'REVERES WOOD'

  • LD is a comical genius. His success story is very inspiring and I just love his additude in Curb.

  • are you people fucking crazy? some of the best episodes in the whole series came out of seasons 8 and 9.

  • @cbfdxbxsb I agree 100%, although there was somewhat of a different vibe.

  • larry david is my idol

  • Mr. Marbles?

  • You see that show?????

    I created that thing!!!!!

  • yah you could make out so much pride in those lines of his.

  • Ya but you have admit it was the cast that made the show work. a writer is only as good as the people who act it out. kinda like a good joke.. the punch line is the key

  • i would love to see it coming back!

  • I was sorry to see Larry go, but as others have said here, very glad that "Curb" exists. I have just recently found the full series sets on iTunes and have about laughed myself into a fit! Larry IS a genius, especially when you realize so much of Curb is improv.

  • Oh, sod off.

  • For me the first 5 seasons were gold.

  • Comment removed

  • NO WAY, every single season was great

  • The 6th season?? I was eating some penis! That's Funny!

  • Gold Jerry! Gold!

  • Seinfeld after Larry left is almost unbearable.

  • Oh, hardly man. Seinfeld takes a different turn but it is hardly unbearable. Some really great gags and episodes came from seasons 8 and 9.

  • totally, the plots seemed a little more out there some of the funniest episodes of the entire season a from season 8 and 9

  • I actually think it was just as good after Larry left, at least for the next season. The final season was a disappointment

  • larry david is a genius!!

  • Seinfeld became too wacky and too much like a regular sitcom after David left. It was still good (until that awful final episode), but no longer great.

  • oh man i love larry.

  • No knock against Jerry but Larry added the edge that brought me into Seinfeld. Jerry was actually too safe a comic for me. I think Jerry brought in a certain type of humor for that era of comedy. It was smart. But I think Larry brought a classic Woody Allen type of neurotic comedy that we hadn't seen since Woody Allen and haven't seen untill Curb. Thank god for Curb

  • seinfeld = cocky last 2 seasons sucked

    Larry david is a genius

  • Seinfield is a very good writer but he has this cocky attitude i don`t really like.

  • how so?

  • how dare they do that lol

  • Seinfeld wasn't the same after Larry David left. TBH, it became a lot worse.

  • I've loved every Seinfeld episode equally.

  • i can't wait to catch the new woody allen movie with l.d.

  • The show was not as good after he left. He made Seinfeld go. Really the only funny episode after he left was Yada Yada Yada.

  • lol idiots, seinfeld ruled all seasons.

  • What are you talking about? At it's time Seinfeld was great. Curb is a whole different thing.

  • Big Stein cant be floppin and twitchin!! lol

  • actually jerry can be a bit of a douche..he was once engaged to a 17 year old girl..and he married a women, who had just come back from her honeymoon

  • yeah he can be a bit of a smarmy used condom

  • where does douche nozzle come from?

  • LD RULES!HE IS THE BEST!

  • curb your enthusiasm is his genius masterpiece

  • LD = legend! His misery makes it so much easier to relate to him. He is genuinely miserable, despite creating the greatest sitcom of all time he still gets depressed, lonely, bitter constantly. I respect that so much more than people who become robots with success.

  • @Sirwastealot If I could, I would watch LD explore his neuroses and fears Seinfeld/Curb style 24/7 for the rest of my life.

  • @Sirwastealot

lol I wouldn't go that far. He's just sarcastic and pessimistic about alot of things.
