Thank you! I have midterms next week and was stumped on the orginal charge which is what I missed in my lecture I guess. Here's a device my professor gave us. LEO is a stuffed lion and says GER
i still have no idea... so let me try and understand this... an oxidation reduction is when 1 solluble element gains electrons from an unsolluble element to become an aqueous sollution compound that's like ionized?
Oxidation like the left side of the periodic table looses electrons (due to weak electro-negativity), while reduction like the right side of the periodic table gains electrons (due to strong electro-negativity).
Electro-negativity is the tendency of an element to attract electrons.
Hallo! n_n Wie geht's dir?

"OIL RIG" (Oxidation is Loss ......Reduction is Gain) --- in reference to electrons of course!

@motheahmad29
Or "LEO the lion says GER" (Losing Electrons Oxidation ......Gaining Electrons Reduction). I personally like that one better

Does anyone know how long it takes for the visible effect of this reaction to be visible?

LEO: Loose eletrons Oxidation
GER: Gains eletrons Reduction
