I watched the videos you linked me to. Just because there are psychics who say that there is an afterlife, just because people have near death experiences, that does not mean anything. NDE's are not reliable, with people seeing vision corresponding exactly with what they already believe. How many Buddhists have a NDE and see Jesus? That's fair comment, but I never said my experience was based on any of those disciplines. On the contrary, my experience is based on physical manifestation, being touched by what felt like a solid hand and various other physical events. Your argument against those who experience NDE's is flawed because basically, we simply do not know enough about it to say what is right or wrong about it. Nor does it explain why 99% of kids see the same things in NDE's - religious or not.

Well, there are some I agree with, and others that I don't, and still others that I'm on the fence about. I do actually look for logical explanations, but also take into account that there is still much of this world, and out of it, that has yet to be discovered. Part of having an open mind means that I too must have one and I do take into account the atheist and skeptic views. However, I reiterate - my belief in the afterlife stems from my own experiences which I still seek answers to. :-)

I'm skeptical that Randi denies lucid dreaming. There was an article in Skeptical Inquirer that confirmed rather than debunked lucid dreaming. Perhaps Randi challenges some of the claims that lucid dreaming is somehow paranormal.
