He probably should have raised on the flop, but I can understand checking just to be sure and slowplaying at the same time. He bets and tuff calls. Rightly so. Turn comes, he needs to bet to see what type of cards his opponent has. He probably would have folded and you win the pot. If he raises you know he has decent cards. Lay it down. And a call all depends on next card.

That does have annoying side effect of scaring weaker hand off though. Here for example odds are he wouldn't have called check-raise. Now on turn he got hand actually worth something yet inferior to set so would have paid.
Calling can be worthwhile IF you won't go broke everytime you are outdrawn + opponent is more likely to bet than call(some folks just can't help but bluff :D)
Well I hate these flops infact I hate bottom set only because if its played correctly he shouldve set him up like he did if the person is (Aggressive/Loose) and youve got a (Aggressive image) you MUST bet and expect a reraise with nothing or Top Pair middle even middle pair. Call that turn comes the Q of spades. from there you want to put atleast a pot size bet, let him think and fold take the pot if you think he'll call push it in and pray for no miracle river.
Sets are bloody good hand and concern when you get is how to get all of opponents chips in the middle. Scaring him away isn't always best way to do that.
Turn's Q wasn't particulary scary card so no reason to think you are ahead and if opponent tried to take pot down with Qx he might get interested in pot there. So on turn there would have been good time to bet.
Yes calling on flush draw board is risky but sometimes you have to take risks to get maximum profit. Lot depends on who you play.

He probably should have raised on the flop, but I can understand checking just to be sure and slowplaying at the same time. He bets and tuff calls. Rightly so. Turn comes, he needs to bet to see what type of cards his opponent has. He probably would have folded and you win the pot. If he raises you know he has decent cards. Lay it down. And a call all depends on next card.

Tuff played right this hand, every inch.. think now, on flop even if he would bet more, guy had top pair with middle kicker, so he ain't going nowhere. On the river, flush draw, Tuff did right by not betting.. the only BAD thing he did was calling the bet on the river - that was stupid since he knew he was beat..

he made an excellent read, too bad he didn't play it properly, a significant reraise on the flop and an all in continuation bet would have got the opponent out of the hand. And with a draw and straight potential that is the kind of play that you need to make on this board as far as I am concerned

That does have annoying side effect of scaring weaker hand off though. Here for example odds are he wouldn't have called check-raise. Now on turn he got hand actually worth something yet inferior to set so would have paid.
Calling can be worthwhile IF you won't go broke everytime you are outdrawn + opponent is more likely to bet than call(some folks just can't help but bluff :D)

Well I hate these flops infact I hate bottom set only because if its played correctly he shouldve set him up like he did if the person is (Aggressive/Loose) and youve got a (Aggressive image) you MUST bet and expect a reraise with nothing or Top Pair middle even middle pair. Call that turn comes the Q of spades. from there you want to put atleast a pot size bet, let him think and fold take the pot if you think he'll call push it in and pray for no miracle river.

Sets are bloody good hand and concern when you get is how to get all of opponents chips in the middle. Scaring him away isn't always best way to do that.
Turn's Q wasn't particulary scary card so no reason to think you are ahead and if opponent tried to take pot down with Qx he might get interested in pot there. So on turn there would have been good time to bet.
Yes calling on flush draw board is risky but sometimes you have to take risks to get maximum profit. Lot depends on who you play.
