Le fond est bon, c'est la forme qui pêche, si j'ose dire! Le second chanteur est excellent mais l'arrangement manque d'énergie, du moins de celle de 1970, et puis par pitié, épargnez-nous ce genre de chorégraphie! Les gamins ne sont pas du tout à l'aise, faute d'une mise en scène appropriée! Ils sont alignés en rangs d'oignons collés les uns aux autres, il aurait fallu les disperser en petits groupes, utiliser l'espace au maximum, le premier chanteur voix grâve assis sur un bidon dans un coin...

Je ne veux pas leurs faire de peine mais je n'aurais pas accroché à cette chanson s'il n'y avait eu que cette interprétation; les Poppys de l'époque, on les sentaient en ces mots qu'ils nous chantaient. C'était vraiment nous dire des choses et nous touchés profondément, alors qu'ici je ne sens pas que ces jeunes ressentent ce qu'ils chantent.

See this song from 1977 in Berlin, that performance was better, the best times from the poppys was in the 70s. Sorry, but I think so. And sorry for my bad english, I come from german.Also noch mal auf deutsch,es kann natürlich auch an der Akustik liegen,aber die beste Version hab ich 1977 in Berlin gehört, dar war auch noch Leidenschaft beim singen mit dabei. Ich war damals großer Fan von denen, und diese Erinnerung bleibt.

The recording is awful and the sound discordant.

Les Poppys has a great history and once had a wonderful sound, I'm hoping very much that these lads will one day live up to it.

Sorry, but this performance leaves me indifferent. I hope it was due to a bad night for these kids. Unfortunately I got the feeling they just didn't care. If they hadn't tried to do the old hip swing thing and just put some heart into the song it might have been better. I hope it isn't because kids today feel des fusils, des canons et les enfants entouré de soldats are now acceptable.

@maxmv56 suite de mon commentaire sur la mise en scène: Le premier chanteur assis sur un bidon ou une caisse... dans un coin avec une poursuite sur lui dès qu'il chante, bon c'est toujours facile à dire après coup, on a pas tjs le temps ni la place pour travailler ce genre de mise en scène! Le second chanteur est prometteur!
