@danielmonkey It's pretty obvious he kills her. Why do you think he checks the soles of his feet when he gets outside the house? If you remember he didn't want to get blood on his feet when he killed Woody Harrelsons character. The audience isn't spoonfed everything they just have to look for it. In the book she does call the coin wrong too.

Fantastic movie. And Kelly McDonald is a great actress. I know this movie was compared a lot to There will be blood when it came out. Personally I think, No country is a better movie overall but There will be blood had a much better ending. My opinion of course.
