  • iJustine!

  • the funny thing is when I was working in japan for 2 months... I got used to drinking hot water and now it helps me when I need something hot... also if I feel a congestion coming on.... I drink it and it helps my chest.

  • @sunsetlover Hot water with lemon is very underrated. :)

  • Great video, John and thanks for the shout-out. I thought I had added the ML&R in a speech bubble on the video, but somehow it didn't work. I gotta work on my technical skills some more.

However, I finally got the mention on one of your videos and a Hitchcock comparison as well. Yes, one more thing to cross off the bucket list! Thanks, John. You're the man! "Much love and respect".:-)

  • @RavenHouseMystery LOVE your pic!

  • I love your get-fit fridays.

  • @TheBluefairy93 Thanks. I hope they help you out.

  • @JohnBasedow1 Trust me, they are.

  • Could you do a video in which you visit the dining commons on a college campus? As a college student, I find the dining commons at my university to be lacking in weight-conscious options and having sweets available at every meal. I think that we need some fitness tips geared towards college students, since it's hard to not gain weight in college.

  • Those are some doable tips.

I'm looking forward to that Fit Meals thing since I do most of my own cooking and am looking for ways to change things up when I'm at home so I can keep my weight going in the right direction.

  • i love that intro!

  • @wrathcpa Really? Me too. Wish I knew who made it.

  • It's Epic Meal Time "Fit" edition with Muscles Basedow.

  • @Merkstar56 Haha. I like that. :)

  • I loved and use many of the tips at the end.

The gum and water work well, and a body needs veggies anyway, so it's like a 'Win rifecta"!

Can't wait for the new series to start :)

  • @SchmumpkinII Great. "Win Trifecta"...haha :)

  • powdered jello is better than pre made

  • @xROBERTxDAVISx Thanks for the info. It's great when the STEW CREW share research they've done.

  • @TayTayKemp Me too.

  • i really need to get going on that much love and respect vid :P sorry JB

  • @TayTayKemp Send it in!

  • 80/20 rule. Works for me.

  • @TheFoxMau Make "good eating" the rule & "cheating" the exception. I don't deprive myself but I use portion control to help achieve my goals.

  • I just got my shirt, and I'll have a picture posted soon.

  • @ryanlanemedia Awesome.

  • Very good video! Much Love and Respect to you too, John! Voted all in for you buddy!

    And very good tips. Cheers.

  • @147578 Thanks. That means a lot!

  • Waddabout that poison called aspertame in the sugar free products, not healthy

  • @coreylew1 spry gum doesnt have aspartame

  • @blindbrad11 Thanks for the info. I'll have to check that gum out.

  • @coreylew1 I'm not a fan of aspartame because of the neurological problems I've seen linked to consuming excessive amounts in research I've done. Fortunately, many "sugar free" products don't have aspartame.

  • @JohnBasedow1 thanks for responding Jon I stay far away from products containing aspertame or sucrose.Do you really recomend Jello? Even though its only ten calories,im not eating ANYTHING that contains pig bones or pig skin, cant be healthy

  • urgh cravings. it's really hard not to give in though. the crunchy vegetable idea is great. Not really a fan of raw vegetables though, probably need to alter my food habbits anyway. I doubt we can buy jell-o over here. I did try it while I lived in the UK and it's great, just wish we could get it here. I keep telling myself I should drink more water but I keep on forgetting to do that. I'll try to change that.

  • @nenalyzed Drinking water is key to losing weight and staying hydrated so we don't mistake thirst for hunger. You can also steam vegetables if you don't want to eat them raw.

  • great video john and i voted all the best buddy

  • @jackocloud Thanks for the vote Jacko!

  • oh yes! this is perfect! Eating healthy meals is just so important but sometimes it's really difficult to actually cook stuff because you don't know what's healthy and whatnot and most of all if you don't know what to cook you just go for the things that can be easily prepared but that happen to be quite unhealthy like pizza.

  • @nenalyzed IMO, pizza is not that un healthy.. it covers most of the major food groups, cereal / grains ( crust ) dairy group ( the cheese) meat group, ( beef, sausage, etc ) veggie group ( peppers etc) depends on how its prepared and the type of cheese its made with but overall, a good baked or brick oven fired pizza is way better than a greasy burger

  • @yellowgroove Yes, there are "Less worse" choices but I wouldn't put either pizza or burgers, meaning the way most people make them, on an fitness friendly menu.

  • @nenalyzed Yep, You've got to stay informed about what you put in your body. When you get a chance you might want to check out the Fitness Made Simple Book/DVD on FitnessMadeSimple-dot-com. It's like my Fitness Bible.
