  • Do people actually buy these for the novelty factor/ feel a bit good in themselves? I'm interested in recycling, off grid etc, alternative income etc but also not working. I was thinking of getting a pedlar licence and starting with simple things like can ashtrays, lanterns, wind toys etc.

  • this is so cool !!!!

  • @33habaneros

  • h needs to go to air shows and sell these

  • @xXxchipperchopperxXx

  • @megalenellmith

I don't have any instructional videos or plans at this time, but I am hoping to make some soon. Sorry, it takes too long to try to explain everything in writing.

  • Hi Folks,

If you have questions about John's can crafts, you can email him at cancraftsbyjohn@yahoo.com, DON'T USE the hotmail account, it no longer works.

  • Too all who see this video, I'm the guy in the video. I've been making crafts since 1980. By using something so common, and just having an imagination I've discovered simply items that can be created. I appreciate all comments, and can answer most questions through my email. I do have in the works a"how to videos". Will post when that is available. Thanks again to all of you who are enjoying something that I like to do........please comment........thanks, John...

  • You can contact John from Can Crafts by John at: cancraftsbyjohn@hotmail.com

  • Please email us at cancraftsbyjohn@yahoo.com, NOT hotmail.

  • Guys, I don't think the gentleman that posted this Video is the same one that you are seeing that produced these great projects. The email to the Crafter is listed in the video. So if you are wondering why you are not getting answers to your questions, this is probably why.

  • @TheCabinetmaster

Thanks, you are so right. My husband John is in the video and he makes the crafts, but a friend of ours videotaped him and uploaded the video to YouTube.

  • Hello John - Very Nice work! Do you offer a book or any other instructional media? Thanks!

  • @1Skeptik1

Sorry, I don't have any instructional videos or books at this moment. I've had so many people ask me that I'm thinking about making some, but nothing yet. Thanks for your interest!

    cancraftsbyjohn@yahoo.com

  • @pearlygates777 Please let me know if and when you have a "How to" available. Regards

  • @1Skeptik1

Go to our website and Save it in your favorites or Bookmark it. That way you can see on the website when the instructional videos and plans become available!

  • how do you make the edges safe? why don't you cut your fingers on the edges of the sheet? would be handy to know! :-) thanks

  • @Jonathansa01

Once you cut the edges of the cans, they become dull. You can still get cut at times, but they are not really that sharp. Sorry it took me so long to figure out how to reply on here.

connected to a bottom of a can that has little like either popikle sticks or peices of cans watever u want to look like a proppeller.

to make it move i thin just put one of those round metal rings on each side of the stick in the can, hard to explain but yeah

    and voilla u r done

pro tip: use one kind of can cuz it looks nicer, and try to use the parts with teh lable on the wings so u can see the company name cuz it looks nice

  • @marviz9 yo bro i made one its pretty easy though take some time on it cuz mine looked kinda bad :P

basically u cut the bottom and top of the cans off

    straighten the peices

trace and measure and cut out your peices from the peices of cans

and take a new can undamaged and just cut slits into the can for the wings

the tail is the same idea but kinda hard just take it slow and use glue

for the twirling thing on the front just use like a barbeque skewer wood stick connected to a
