  • Sounds like "Lew Williams - Bop Bop Ba Doo Bop"

  • Yeeeeaaaahhhh!!!!

  • That's it!!! I'm selling all my other guitars and getting a Gretsch and a Bassman!

  • Does the bassist even has fingers anymore? lol

  • So cool I didn't know Rockabilly existed! Anymore

  • Heck yeah! John Hatton and Bernie Dresel...and the King of the Cats! Good rockin music! Please check out the song I wrote as a tribute to Setzer and the Cats. I reference 15 of their songs in it. It's called "This Kitten is Smtten"

  • Holy Shit Duece32!! You just keep on delivering these awesome Brian Setzer/ Stray Cats clips!! What I can't work out is why they & he have barely released any DVDs of their concerts (I have Stray Cats Rock Japan from the early '90s & Rumble in Brixton & a couple of BSO DVDs)......when there is obviously so much great footage of them on tape?!?!?

  • hey, i've just been wondering, how many crash symbols does the drummer go thru every performance?? lol

  • What a freaking Showman , What an Entertainer , What a guitar player

  • does anyone think that the bassist looks like toad from american graffiti?

  • Comment removed

  • Raw Power!

  • thats how it should be ...

  • This KICKS MY ASS EVERYTIME AAAAAAAAAAOOOOUUUUUUUUU.

  • he did the solo to Rock Around the Clock like it was no big deal.....and the best I've ever heard..I've been working on that damn run for fifteen years and he belts it out like it's Rockabilly 101. It must be a magic guitar or he is possessed...he is not human! oh and the band rocks too!

  • don't get it

  • Bring Bernie Back!!!!!!!!!!!! Your new drummer is the bottom of the barrel dude. I can't believe how many beats and fills he's missed the last two times I saw you. This right here is how it's done!!!!

  • @mrlaymansterms1 I think you mean Johnny Hatton that on the double bass. Indeed, I prefer Winchester for Hatton.

  • thousands of real profiles real Asian women lushfmlk.info

  • rock around o clock best solo cover EVER!!!!!!!

  • Brian Setzer gets such an awesome guitar tone, he always sounds awesome.

  • so good to see great musicians who know how to put on a show... vibrant, up lifting while they are going down on the stage. no limits...

  • Raw, unadulterated Rock N Roll!! The way it was meant to be played....

  • love the stand up bass

  • Only 3 guys on this SOUND! Pure and original R'R!

  • WAHNSINN. DAS IST MUSIK.

  • 10 girls that always wear socks.

  • 10 people discovered they have been listening to sh*t for all of there lives

  • I want that bass... those hot rod flames really suit that coffin. Absolutely beautiful... not to even mention how fantastic whole trio sounds :)

  • ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡ brutal !!!!!!!!!

  • magnifico!!!!

  • Overall, this guy tears it . Yesterday, tomorrow or beyond !

  • How can a three piece band be that LOUD?

Bring back that rock and roll feeling to music!

  • GOOD TIMES!! Nashville was a much brighter town that night:-) My fiancee and I were rockin' in the 2nd row. Great show, GOOD TIMES! However the audience was kinda' conservative. I know...It's a Christmas show. Can't wait my daughter starts to sing Fishnet Stockings around Xmas time.

  • Tudo de bom!!!Esse é o cara.....

  • Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • My two-year old grandson LOVES this!

  • WHAT KIND OF GUTAIR IS BRIAN PLAYING?

  • @genesimmonsoverdrive

    A Gretsch. I'm guessing a 6120 modle

  • @genesimmonsoverdrive from what i can tell, its a Gretsch 6120. the paint job is just one of his custom designs. I cant find any records of it's exact name, but from the articles i've read, i know he's played about 30 different vintage and signature guitars over the years, if not more, and 90% of them are of the Gretsch hollowbody variety. so start from there.

  • Must of been around 1981 ish and I was going rocking to a gig at the lyceum in London and the stray cats was on (support) never heard of them before that night and they foooooking rocked the roof of the joint, nothing had been seen like this since Gene Vincent in 57, it was amazing, and the rest is history.

  • like the drums in this one !

  • Man, I'd love to do bass with this guy. Sadly I'm not experienced with an upright/contra/double bass, just an electric. For anyone that thinks some of us youngsters don't know what an upright is... Ha! Then again, I'm a guitarist switched bassist. But shh. : )

  • We saw the 2009 version at Table Mountain Casino, near Fresno, California!

What a show. Rockabilly, swing, and rock, with Christmas thrown in! Brian, and the rest of the band all rocked!

  • wow yeah, well that is real rock music, not this modern shit like 30 seconds to mars or fallout boy

  • That's right. All those guys don't know what is a double bass!

  • @nzoneaffe thats why modern rock is called modern rock. i love this old stuff as well as our generation's bands, things evolve. it's good there music for everybody out there. peace and happy holidays!

  • @nzoneaffe .

    that would be pretentious

  • @nzoneaffe i agree....especially 30 pussies on mars...shite! and fallout fag. and my chemical cut ya self.

  • @nzoneaffe Things progress. It cant all be "bap bap she woop doop" vintage rock and roll-a-billy. I hate 30 seconds to Mars though :) Fallout Boy are ok.

  • Never did bowling shirts look so good! :)

  • Love the flame job on the bass!

Don't make music like this anymore.

  • Sounds like he is rushing through the song.

  • how would it be to have as many gretch's as him? Or play as good? damn

  • awsome that how =D

  • Must play this again - every time he sang "fishnet stockings" my mind kept wandering off the song!

  • 最高です。

  • Machine!

  • Yeeeeaaahhhh!!!

Dayum thats some rockin good vibes..

    *****

  • Fishnet Stockings is a curious song choice for a Cristmas show lol

  • maybe santas female helpers wore them :)

  • the crowd is so calm :s

  • @GunShotsGoBang I've noticed that in a lot of his shows. Honestly, I believe it's the swing that he puts to the music... this generation doesn't know what to do with it.

  • Sounds great.

Stray cats were a fun band but Lee Rocker and Slim Jim could never match Setzer's talent.

  • the rock around the clock solo improvised in this song really rocks. nice vid

  • Damn.. Talk about a hot set... nailed every freaking riff.. ever Berry!!! No doubt.. in this vid.. he's never played this good when he was 20.... Freakin awsome!!!

  • esse cara é um az do rockabilly

  • brian...

     that^s great work

  • Love that double bass!

  • This guy rocks!

  • if anything i think his sound has matured with him, better than the setzer of yesteryear, although he has always been an amazing musician and puts on a great show

  • Its sad to say but they sounded better here without slim Jim and without Lee rocker. even Brians guitar plating sounded clean.

  • Gotta say how much i love Slim Jim, but Bernie is a far far far better musician and sussed how to compliment Brians playing from the 'off'. Gotta also say that the jury is out on hatton, cos, I personally think that Lee Rocker is the best double bass player that ever walked this crazy planet... ho hum

Mikey xx (without prejudice, and with serious affection for all parties) xx

  • Agreed, Lee will forever be the man on the double, but there is no denying this ensemble is one to be reckoned with.

  • Perfect song!!! That upright bass solo...No words for it! And the last guitar solo is from rock around the clock! Perfect

  • this music defenly rocks!!!!!!!!!!

  • Damn they killin it!!!!! Go head!!!!!!

  • Wow, really cool song! :D

  • Wow

  • Boy those guys in the 50's would've shit a brick to have seen Setzer's band

  • You are so right, moosey. He'd be worshiped today if he were transported back in time.

  • care for your parents.

  • go spam elsewhere

  • go spam elsewhere

  • oh yea layin it down what a fun song

  • Man, Johnny Spaz Hatton OWNS on that bass. Kinda puts Lee Rocker to shame. Though he's great too, mind you. Just not as smooth. You can tell that Hatton is a formally trained player.

  • All right John!!!

  • wow thats one hell of a bass

  • I wonder if the bassist lowering to full mast was Brian's recognition of Stanley Jordan :)

  • that lick at :56 with the jazzy passing tones is tasty as hell.

    great video!

  • excelente,magnífico!!!,grande talento!!!

  • there isnt many bands that dominate their field of music but these guys DO!

  • That the Brian setzer trio.

  • SICK bass solo

  • The first thing I asked my bass teacher, John Hatton (The dude in the video) was, "What hell hell was that thing you did in that fishnet stockings video?!"

  • Wait? You got Hatton as a Bass teacher?!

    Now that is fucking cool!

    Setzer is THE king!

  • you're insane guy!

  • kurva jó

  • Az már egyszer biztos!! :D

  • az am!!!

  • G zus k rist These guys burn air in volumn

Now that is rockin music played by musicians

  • holy seven hounds of hell!! these guys wail!!

i've had the vinyl since i was a teenager but totally forgot how awesome they were. great vid

  • i love brian. the cats, whatever these people are (from the bso maybe?) and the orchestra. they all own the shitty music most people are listening to today.

  • OMG these guys ROCK :)) doesn´t get any better

  • FUCKIN' AWESOME!

  • heh the instruments match lol

  • i know that its not lee rocker, i was just stating that he kicks ass

  • Not Lee Rocker, John Hatton. Funny, he teaches me upright bass. His latest bass has great pinstriping, and a similar flame job.

    Great song, too. Kudos.

  • Yeah but that ain't Lee Rocker playing :P

  • i love king doublebasses! Lee Rocker kicks ASS!!!

  • it ain't lee

  • haha love the flame job on the double bass

  • Wow you gotta love this guy, he actually plays guitar just like ringin a bell. Fuck Johnny B Goode.

  • brain setzer is comin to vegas is what i heard i already saw him and lee and slim.

  • Brian Motherfucking Setzer.

    That is all.

  • oh lord yeah

  • f bach! :P

  • whoops, wrong video...

  • i can't even see the inlays on his guitar. thumbnail inlays are uglyyy.

  • tee hee but thumbnails make it harder for ppl to know wat position ur playing in

  • Awesome.

    Keep the faith.

  • AWESOME!!!

  • I've seen him too a couple of times in Japan, his bass player rocks too, but i saw him on a tribute to rockabilly, with Elvis Costello, and he played something that blew me away, if anyone has it please post it.

  • Yep . the greatness !!!

  • Pure Eddie Cochran style!

It is Brian Setzer, not the Stray Cats. There is not any Lee Rocker or Slim Phantom.

  • This is not the same bass player ass in stray cats..

  • is that the same slapstick bass player from the stay cats lee rocker

  • oh yeah, absolutely amazing. Absolutely.

  • Fishnet stockings are DING DONG!!!!

  • good bass player

should have used a real drum set(the bass drum isn't tight enough)

  • Cat on a hot tin roof.

  • This guy is the shit. Everything else comes and goes, but Setzer has been kicking ass since the early 80s and just keeps getting better. I've seen the Cats a half dozen times and Setzer at least 20. I could see this guys once a month for life. Rockabilly rules, ok?

  • Amen to that.

  • FUCKING AMAZING...

  • oh wow!!

  • Love the way he fits in the "Rock around the Clock" guitar break.

  • damn good...also a big fan of the living end

  • Amazing guitar breaks! Thanks for fine video.

  • That is one mighty fine bass!!!

  • fuckin brill, seen setzy twice ,great performer, thanks for vid,

  • FANTASTIC !!!!! BRAIN ROCKS FOREVER!!!!

  • Brian Setzer is the reason why I started to play guitar, if I ever get to meet him, I'll have him autograph my chest and then have it tatooed in "Signed for life"

  • yea totally agreed dude i went and saw the stones in sydney and the living end opened up, seriously cheney is this guys protege all the way man!

    rock n roll for ever

    long live melody

  • haha thats awesome, gotta love brian setzer's rockabilly solos, check out 'The Living End' if you like this stuff, Brian Setzer is their guitarist Chris Cheney's idol.

  • Setzer is my all-time favourite... please, more!

  • More please!!!
