@genesimmonsoverdrive from what i can tell, its a Gretsch 6120. the paint job is just one of his custom designs. I cant find any records of it's exact name, but from the articles i've read, i know he's played about 30 different vintage and signature guitars over the years, if not more, and 90% of them are of the Gretsch hollowbody variety. so start from there.

Must of been around 1981 ish and I was going rocking to a gig at the lyceum in London and the stray cats was on (support) never heard of them before that night and they foooooking rocked the roof of the joint, nothing had been seen like this since Gene Vincent in 57, it was amazing, and the rest is history.
