Sorry,but this was the woman who,along with Diana's maternal grandmother,Ruth,Lady Fermoy,conspired & manipulated Charles to wed Diana,even though they knew he would never love her,as he's always loved Camilla! All they cared about was having an heir & a spare,& Diana was an ideal,fertile choice.Her twee little smile belied a deviousness & a desire to 'get her own way',at the cost of Diana's happiness! Such a vibrant and well loved Queen. She can be credited with helping to save the modern monarchy in that she served as the principal support to George VI during a period of change and uncertainty when the crown was in peril. The subjects of her daughter can be thankful that she passed on her aplomb and that, in addition, Her Majesty inherited Her grandmother's sense of duty-above-all. God save the Queen.
