Only a few of his movies 'worked' in my opinion. The first Vacation, Vegas Vacation, Three Amigos was funny as shit, Caddyshack #1, Christmas Vacation was good too. The Fletch stuff just plain sucked.

Caddyshack was great not only because of Chase, but also because of Bill Murray and the movie's showstealer, Rodney Dangerfield.

Fletch is the best Chase film of all time. Nothing against Vacation, but he had a good supporting cast for that film, plus Randy Quaid has always been the real show stealer in that series. Does anybody remember who else was in Fletch, no, he carried that movie on his own.
