Great video and informative. For those of you looking to get more information about the island of St Lucia then head on over to Guide to St Lucia website, lots of info, a selection of youtube videos from hotels and St lucia related vids also but all in one location.. Check us out!
Omg I went here to see my parents get married about two months ago and they got married on a cliff... I forget the name of it... But the people there are so nice and friendly. You can't hate these people :D AWESOME PLACE
Ok Im an American and like not to sound snobby, but like are there any towns in St. Lucia that Americans would b comfortable in? I think the island is beautiful and would love to travel here on vacation. The locals all seem nice as well. However, it looks as though the cities shown in this video were very broken down. I have a familt of 6 with children, any ideas of a place to stay with them that has the ammenities of america?
I really think I want to move to a Caribbean Island. My parents are from Jamaica to America, but the IMF has probably infinitely ruined it's standard of living, so I wont be going there. How is it in St. Lucia? For the locals I mean
St. Lucia looks so so so serene and beautiful. Never ever thought about going there, but now I can't get it out of my mind! I have to go there...it's definitely on my "bucket list"!!!!!
We visited in 2008 and stayed at the Windjammer Landing. The highlight was climbing Gros Piton with Lucianus from the settlement at the base as our guide- what a workout, but what an unbelievable view! We had a wonderful dinner at the Coal Pot right across the bay from SLU airport in Castries and we even loved the drive from UVF, beautiful scenery. St. Lucia has the best and most friendly people, including tour guide extraordiaire Frank Charles. We LOVE St. Lucia!
She already owns a home there and spends most of her time there when she is not touring. She says it is a way to relax, and get away from the bad influences she had in London.
Stayed 6 weeks with family from there, worked in castries in the hospital. It's an amazing place, beautiful and vibrant and saturated with culture. So nice to be with people from the island too as they knew all the best local/unknown areas to relax, eat and drink in. And my god, on the subject of food - St Lucia opened my eyes to flavours I'm never going to let out of my sight again. Whether you're in the north or south of the island you'll find it is one of the best places you'll ever visit.
@agnetajorgenssen im going there by myself for the first time. Im doing my research but where are the best places to visit and what places should I avoid?
st lucia is a wonderfull island where people are true and look at you in the eyes and talk to you and not always to get a $ or summat ,there s lot s of reggae and carnival with socca and people speak english and patwoi which is like french creole a tad different from martinique but they can understand most of it i love st lucia and i love the people in st lucia and the girl (of course) and the dance and the humour and the piton ,the kindness and the nastyness it s the best place on earth = )
ive been to many places in the caribean and st lucia is still the one that is by far my favorite, its largly untouched by time and much of it looks prehistoric, its just so beautifull and tropical, it was so much more than i thought it would be!
went there for 3 weeks and stayed with my friends family. had a blast did not feel threatened anywhere every one was so nice on the island and man the food was great great variety of fish. and the mangos were the juiciest fruit i have ever had. the herb was not the best tho but im sure i just got tourist herb.
Looks great but I never been there. It just looks lonely, for the people who have been there is there alot of places where is filled with people(not retaurant anything like a street or a beach or anything.
Make sure there is plenty of rum and Piton beers on ice for me . I am coming back with all my family to see my family in less than three months and counting. I was last there less than a year ago and I CANNOT WAIT to go back. Whoever has not been there I advise you to go NOW!! Do not stay in the tourist areas, just go out and explore the island by bus. It is not Jamaica; you will not feel threatened or intimidated anywhere.
Can't wait to go back there. Just writing this, all the smells are coming back so strongly. The whiff of charcoal, The smell of lemons and limes ( Used to clean ALL fish and meats before cooking) where the women are preparing the meals. The smells of the beaches. Can't wait to revisit all the rum shops in the evening and checkout Rodney bay when the family are getting on my nerves and I have to escape for a while. Put the rum and the Piton beers on ice! Cos I will be back in less than 3 months
just got back from st. lucia today. just yesterday i was there. i spent a week there and it was fantastic. scuba diving there was amazing. such friendly people... and amazing vacation spot. i advise everyone to go there!
well firstly i must say that i hate places full of tourist rich tourist visiting sunny places and watching the poor so st lucia wasn t in my travelproject but fate brought me there and little by little i came to love this place not for it s temperature it s sky... but for its people ,they r graet and true plus the music also great so yeah st lucia is a great place one actually i really like to live in =)
I lived at St. Lucia for almost 25 years ago. The village Reunion and the people there welcomed us with open heart: Who are those funny skinned people from the north,,They seemed to think-and it din´t held them back asking about it.
