  • That's what I have, 3rd gens are the best

  • Music cassette player! Perfect! Directly dubbed from the LPs!

CDs and MP3s are for suckers!

  • I think the problem was for the car was because the cost of stainless steel particularly 304 (which is what the DeLorean had) is not cheap. Nowadays its about $2.15 per pound. If it was made out of just regular mild-steel like all cars of the day it would have been lighter and would have cost a lot less. John DeLorean should have came out with a mild steel version with the option later for stainless steel paneling to be placed on.

  • Well ... I'm french and I know this engine quite well. PRV v6 engine (well the first version of it) is actually a big piece of crap. Ignition timing is terrible, and my father used to have to Renault 25 with this engine ... it's was not reliable at all !

  • I would kill for that garage. I still like my GTA Firebird better though

  • ugly car...

  • @bananino2010 Shat up.....

  • New cars have no style compared to old cars I roll up anywhere in my camaro rs and people stop a stare. I guess your opinion of good looking cars is that they all have the same damn body style

  • @BornGNRfan You're right... There's no reason to buy a new cars... they seem all eggs.

And about Camaro... I can understand you I love that Camaro! But I'm a 3rd gen fan!

  • @J3FFY23 so you think a IROC-Z is ugly? You clearly don't have much taste in cars if you think cars from the 80's are ugly look at cars nowadays at least the affordable ones they all look the same and look like shit at least old cars had style

  • @BornGNRfan Totally true!!! that 80's camaro's look far better than today simplistic design cars

  • the 1 deslike is a prius fanatic

  • I think its ugly as fuck...all cars in the 80's...ALL.

  • @J3FFY23 hahahahha and do you think that a 2012 vw golf is beautiful???? hahahahahah and no comment about eclipses........ nice taste man!! hahahahah. Leave the lamborghini countach, the ferrari 308, the 930 turbo, the corvette c4, the delorean, the maserati merak, the mercedes 350sl etc, etc etc, for the eyes of the real car enthusiasts...

  • @tonidmc 1.I hate vws.

2.its my first car, imma sell it, thanks for the channel view

    3. all those cars you just listed, (i put them into 1985) all ugly as hell.

    4. eyes of real car entusiasts? real car guys like vintage to early 70s. skip all the way intil 1993. then cars got better. until then, that huge gap of cars were the ugliest pieces of shit i have ever seen.

  • @J3FFY23 all that cars ugly? hahahah we dont need to talk anymore, if you think that that cars are ugly and 99% of car enthusiasts think just the opossite, you are a very special and rare expert in cars. Real car enthusiast love all time beautiful cars, from 51 Hudson, 68 charger, 58 belvedere, 81 delorean, 88 911, 85 xjs,and large etc.. The beautiful designs are timeless not as a creepy early 90's front wheel drive japanese cars. But of course, all car collectors are wrong and you are right!

  • @tonidmc i said all cars from the 80s are ugly you stupid illiterate dumbass, if I thought that I wouldnt be here now would I.and...what the hell is blade runner....

  • @J3FFY23 You dont even know what is blade runner!!! hahahaha that says all!!! gain some culture and then your poor taste may could change. And i said it again, you are a really car expert, all my respects to you, jay leno, and barret jackson bidders are poor amateurs compared to you hahahahah

  • @tonidmc so lemme get this right... because I have not seen a shit movie.... I automatically know nothing about cars... WOW. DAT MAKE SO MUCH SENCE. I dont sit on my ass on youtube and watch movies all day, I actually have a life. and, nobody has a car that jay lenno has your last statement makes no sence at all. learn english. pull up to any resturaunt in that piece of shit and people will laugh, its as fuckin ugly as a renault. people laugh at it then ask where is the time flux compacitor

  • @J3FFY23 jay leno has a lot of affordable cars. You have to ask to yourself one question:Why i'am the only idiot in this planet with that bad taste???? hahahaha bye bye idiot, and be happy with your hotwheels japanese toy

  • @tonidmc because a ZR1 is affordable, right? you know nothing about me, you havent even read my channel. sorry, but the rest of the world laughs at cars of the 80s and you know it. you roll up anywhere people will laugh, go to a car show. your a 30 year old who cant take the fact that new cars are better, and, new cars have a timeless look. those cars looked good, got old and died. new cars are so much better looking, better performance, its just your poor ass talking.

  • @J3FFY23 hahahahaha the only think that I know 100%sure is that you have the 1st position in the bad taste ranking in the whole world hahahahahahahah. 15 years old? hahahahhahahahahha ok ok ok!!!!! hahahahahahhahahahha

  • @J3FFY23 and one more thing! watch blade runner and take a look of the adress of that old man who build new eyes for the replicants..... then you will see some real cars with the respect that they deserve.

  • Deff one of the coolest looking cars ever produced!

  • yes you can make it look just like the bttf car. but in my opinion that will destroy the car. I didnt buy the car cuz of the movies. I bought it for what it is.

  • i paid for this car on Dec. 2nd. it wasn't even ready to sell. it still needed a ton of work witch parts haven't even been ordered. i still domt have this car.

  • hey can you all make it look like the car from back to the future???

  • great scott i wish i would have been there for this video

  • Thanks. You have vin#1735? my old one was 1767 fuel door and darkwheels. Oh ya Ive already got the molding stipping on the way from DMCH. #1767 I sold to a guy in europe. For the $ i got this 4552 its in very good shape.

  • @richstage4 very close vin to mine! At first i had vin 16790 but in was in very tired shape and after 4 years i traded it to DMC Europe for 1735 (texas original car) restored and in very good shape,it has only 9500miles. Live the dream!

  • This will be my second DMC and they are a joy to drive! People need to understand its not a muscle car. John wanted to go in a different direction with his sports car. Something nobody was doing. Its ONE of the first mass produced fuel injected cars made. Its very light and for the 135 hp it has when you in the high rpm's it gets going!

  • @richstage4 Have fun with it!

  • And They aren't "crap cars" Look at Hyundai, back in the early 90's... You couldn't give those cars away! now look at them, They make a very nice car. The DeLorean's where only made for 2 Years and a few in 83. Even If the car was made here in the states its completely different then anything of its time. There will always be problems that get worked out in time. FORD and CHEVY have no excuse. Ford has been around for a 100 years and they are crap!!

  • Im the buyer of this DMC vin# 4552 from flemings. Haters will hate! Unless you know facts about this car other then YES, its in a very well known movie! You shouldn't talk!! Yes the car is under powerd Yes the car was made by 17 to 30 year olds in Ierland. Its what the car is thats cool. Go to any car show... 57 chevy 34 roadster camero vet vet vet mustang. flame after freakn flame paint job! Then BOOM a DeLorean dmc 12! gull wing door all stainless steel. Its a car of its own kind. SHOW STOPPER

  • @richstage4 You are so right! I have Vin 1735 in Spain and that car isn't like any other car in the road. If you are the new owner of this one, i hope you will put on it a set of new side moldings, it will look far better and more original.

  • @richstage4 so you baught it already do u have it at home now??

  • GREAT SCOTT

  • And when it gets to 88mph you're gonna see some serious shit!

  • 2nd that on the Flux Capacitor!!!! where's Mc Fly-??

  • It's probably been done before...

How much to install the flux capacitor?

  • Love your vids Tony, but the Delorean is, and always has been a piece of crap. Anybody that puts that thing in their driveway will be pouring money into it 24/7/365

  • The car looks great but too bad they put shitty V6 in it.

  • Well it won't rust

  • im gonna buy this and go back to the future lol haha im so funny

  • Am I the only person that saw the back in the panning shots and thought: Where the hell's the Flux Capacitor??

  • @FordMustangsForever I read the comment right about you and i was like this guy! Then i read yours and i started dying laughing!

  • John DeLorean had originally envisioned that the car would produce somewhere around 200 horsepower (150 kW), but eventually settled on a 150 horsepower (110 kW) output for the engine. However, United States emissions regulations required that parts such as catalytic converters be added to the vehicle before it could be sold there. This caused a 20 horsepower (15 kW) reduction to the vehicle's power output.

    Wkipedia.

  • Painting them is Blasphemy!!

  • A few problems 1. The engine made like 85hp and was way under powered. 2. The Irish factory workers would strike so often and didnt care that they threw these cars together with out caring (union workers go figure) so fit and finish is usually way off. 3. Because of the guy in Texas who is now reproducing these value has gone down slightly. 4. Renault engines and transmissions were not reliable what so ever another one of the big flaws that killed it.

  • @Boredout454 hahahah, the engine made 135hp not 85hp.... The cars in Texas are not new ones... are simply striped down originals and rebuilt so the value of this cars is going up each year. And the only fault of the engine is the fact that with a radiator on the front and a lot of water hoses, one has to be careful to dont overheat it if there is a problem. and about the performance... a DMC-12 had a better top speed (198km/h) than 81 Mustang, 81 Camaro z-28 or 81 Turbo Trans Am so....

  • @tonidmc First I was being sarcastic with the 85hp number hence the word "like 85hp" which means I was making an guess from what I could remember. That little tid bit from 85 to 135 doesnt disprove the fact that I stated which is that its under powered. Second the guy in Texas does reproduce body panels and is bringing back to life Delorean that have been destroyed etc. Meaning more Deloreans so again facts still stand. How long did it take for the Delorean to get to that speed vs the others?

  • @Boredout454 Stephen wayne's DMC in Texas DOESN'T reproduce body panels, the panel dyes were sunk by the british government, and there are very few front left fender panels available.... They have the stock of the old factory and reproduce some parts but not the stainless steel. Ok was underpowered but 9.8 seconds to 60mph was not away from 8.5 to 60 from a 200hp heavy weight 81 Trans Am...... even a Ferrari 308 had only 205bhp on 81, so the dmc was average in this aspect.

  • 8:04

  • renault reliable? haha over here renaults were known as really bad cars :p the delorean is an awesome car tho! this is one of the best ive ever seen!

  • Does it run on regular unleaded gasoline?

  • @peteq1972 unfortunately no it requires something with a little more kick, PLUTONIUM.

  • @peteq1972 Plutonium? are you telling me this sucker's Nuclear!?

  • @peteq1972 No no no this sucker's electrical, but i need a nuclear reaction to generate the 1.21 jigawatts of electricity i need.

  • @peteq1972 did you really just have a convo with yourself…..nice hahah

  • @cnashrun5 I was putting it in one post but i thought i'd do it that way, someone was bound to, lol. oh no is it split up now.

  • @cnashrun5 i found it funny haha

  • @cnashrun5 lol, it had to be done, at the end of this vid he should put shades on saying where we're going we don't need roads, lol.

  • @unmarkedtrails The Mustang has the avantage that it could be a perfect daily driver more usable car. I love the old ones, the 67/68 convertible are my favourites.

  • Well people, just so you know. They are still making them.

But this one looks original XD

  • These cars look awesome but are so slow and not enjoyable

  • @piercematt

Very wrong. What is it with people; all they want is speed. there is so much more to a car than just speed. Just for your information DeLoreans are NOT slow. I should know, I used to own one. The car has plenty of power. I passed quite a few muscle cars in the DeLorean. And about your comment about the car not being enjoyable, wrong again. This is one of the most enjoyable cars out there.

  • @unmarkedtrails a pleasure, but the fuel gauge in this dmc is broken, is pointing above full and thats not normal. This cars are prone to electrical failures so is better to check all that "little" details. is not a bad car, but I'll recomend to everybody to do not buy one if it has not been restored or updated by a dmc specialist before. I have one restored by DMC europe, I put only few miles a year but it works fantastic.

  • @unmarkedtrails thats not a fault, all the deloreans when you shut down the engine, the rpm for some reason stay at 2.000 until you move the key again when the car is already cold. The engine was very reliable, the problem were that large quantitiy of tubes and hoses because the radiator is in the front and one has to be careful to dont have overheating problems that could damage the engine.

  • This De Lorean was painted in the past... thats the reason for the missing side moulding (for rebrushing it to the original stainless grain) and if you look closely the interior part of the door is still painted in black.... The doors also dont stand properly.... sorry Toni, but this DMC is not at the same level or restoration as the other cars usually you have...

  • flux capacitor matching #'s

  • Tony Fleming really knows his cars.....except for this one.....the construction quality makes Britsh Leyland´s cars from the 70´s look like top flight german engeneering in comparison.

The cars were put together in Belfast, Northern Ireland by people that had absolutely no qualifications to work in the car industry.

The engine is an absolute disaster which makes you wonder why John Delorean did´nt look back to his roots at GM to fint a suitable powerplant to make the car kick ass

  • A classic of the 80's!

  • I'm from Ireland, last I heard the original moulds/dies/whatever for the bodies of the DMC12 are holding cattle feed out in the middle of nowhere in county Mayo. The Renault V6 was a heap, one guy drove his brand new one home then discovered he couldn't open the doors in his garage. he tried to reverse back out but the engine wouldn't start and he had to wait til his wife came home that evening. Still as you say yourself, if you roll up in one of these you are a very very cool person

  • Deloreans are quite reliable if maintained properly.

  • Delorean got busten for Cocaine trafficking.... If I recall correctly

  • i'll buy the car just to push it off a cliff

  • @sainteustatious and why would you do that?

  • @tyb323 because i loathe this car like the fire of hell

  • i'll by the car just to push it off a cliff

  • do you also do like custom interior and exterior work ?

  • Yes!! My favorite car.

  • does it have a flux capacitor?

  • IT BACK FORM THE FUTURE !

  • @edvinaskmito IT'S BACK FROM THE FUTURE

  • @jparra20 who cares where is the train from the future ?
