When I was a kid,my dad travelled a lot..work and everything,you know..he wasn't at home 7months per a year..I really missed him.

When I was 5,I watched Sorcerer's stone for the 1st time,and I noticed that Hagrid looks just like my dad.He's tall,he has a beard..

I figured it out:My dad's playing Hagrid!Thats why he's not at home all the time.Although I missed him,I was happy.My dad had the coolest job ever!

Eventually,I realised that's not true,but until today,Hagrid is my favorite character <3

I love how Hagrid is like the Big Friend Giant. He's like a huge, loveably teady bear most of the time, but he's also an -adult-. There are times he acts childish, but he has a real fire in him.

lol I think Coltrane did a really good job at doing Hagrid and he did it in the same way Jo said, hes a benign person but comes up as very intimidating, I remember watching the 1st movie and my grandma going like "Oh hes so scary, shouldnt be there on a children movie" lol even tho I knew Hagrid is a really nice person XD

Dude, believe it or not, I found myself relating to Hagrid a lot. That's one of the many things I love about the Potter books unlike Twilight, you can REALLY relate to the characters

@LOPONUMER Same here. I'm pretty tall (About 6'2"), and my best friend who's a good deal shorter than me refers to me as "The gentle giant," and for that reason considers it pretty funny/ fitting that Hagrid's my favorite character in the series!
